At this point, their HR dept may need to look into their hiring director... it's been a revolving door & they just seem unable to hire even a mediocre co-host for Robby. I had stopped watching this channel, but came back after it seemed Jessica had been replaced... but it's still not anywhere close to where it needs to be. Robby still has to carry every show, which isn't enough, because there rarely ends up being any real debates or meaningful exchange. We always just hear Robby make valid points, then we hear personal agenda related non-sense... then, it just stops with, ″well, we'll leave it there and we'll see you next time on Rising.″

Robby is such a genuinely good journalist/ newsman / reporter. Ever concise in his analysis, and so fair in reporting his findings. It’s really impressive and proves why he’s been so accoladed. AND… what impresses me most about Robby is how he manages to keep his cool with these relentlessly tiring co-presenters he’s always up against and he has to accommodate their stupidity in a masterful way.

I watched the debate and thoroughly enjoyed it. While I think Vance “won” the debate, I liked how they handled each other. I left the debate thinking those two could grab a few beers together and have some good conversation working on issues compromising on things. But yeah, overall great job by both men!

This was the most informative political debate I’ve ever seen. Most of the good information came from JD and no spin doc here but I do believe JD is the clear winner. Tim did his best and honestly impressed me, not going to voting for the guy or his boss or her bosses. I still have no clue what Harris plans for the economy,or foreign policy, and the environmental clean up that’s needed all over the country, problems that happened under her administration.
Regardless of what either VP candidate said or did I can't see ever voting for triple-flipper Harris. Raised leftist, becomes a hardline DA, goes far left progressive, and suddenly within months becomes moderate lefty.
I am really confused about the Harris/Walz gun stance as Tim seemed to contradict everything previously said and Tim's claims about censorship do not match the actions taken by him or Harris.

When confronted about limiting/infringing on 1st Amendment rights, Walz incorrectly states:
"You can't yell 'fire' in a crowded theater. That's, that's the test. That's the Supreme Court test."
That was "the Supreme Court test" in 1919 under Schenck. But was overturned in 1969 under Brandenburg. Walz fails ANOTHER 1st Amendment test! Has he ever passed one?

JD Vance was amazing. His speech and presentation was flawless. He connected wth the audience. He stayed on topic. The moderators against the rules fact checked and Vance fact-checked the fact checking before he had his mic cut off.

There were two things that I thought Walz said that were shockingly terrible. He defending the individual mandate.......which if you recall was when you couldn't afford the terrible government insurance because you made a whopping 30k that year; and the government took your refund to pay this penalty. That was downright cruel. Another thing, he defended censorship with the old "you can't yell fire in a crowded theater" which actually isn't true.
What a class act JD was so proud of him. He won this going away.

If you guys are going to do the "left/right co-host" format, could you get people on the left who have a clue? You have about as much of a chance of finding a unicorn as you do of finding anyone on the left who is both rational and has a career in journalism, particularly if you are looking for a woman on the left that is involved in journalism. Vance crushed it. He quelled a lot of concerns about the "radical" nature of his ticket whereas Walz seemed dodgy and weak. Big missteps for the latter candidate. Moderates will be swayed towards the maga ticket due to this debate.

My biggest takeaway was how nice it was to not have Trump on stage. People with different views, able to have a respectful conversation. No name calling, ranting, and unhinged comments.
I voted Trump 2020 and am voting Harris 2024. I'll look at voting red again after Republicans finally kick Trump out.

Walz fielded the first question on whether he would support a preemptive strike by Israel on Iran. He answered by highlighting his support for Israel before pivoting to criticizing Trump and his foreign policy.
Walz insisted "Israel's ability to defend itself is absolutely fundamental" following Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
But Walz insisted Trump's own national security advisers have said it's dangerous for Trump to be in charge and denounced Trump's foreign policy.
Metropolitan elites in the media trying to talk about who is and is not relatable to the working class or people in the Midwest has to be one of my favorite farcical recurring themes in journalism
The lady needs to just give Vance credit for being 1000x more presidential and informed on current and proposed policies. I like Walz more after debate actually - but when I'm assessing leadership potential on a national scale, Vance was many levels above. Just acknowledge it. And Vance is the future, that's why he is such a good pick. And climate change is a joke as Dems present it. 100% climate is changing, but human involvement is the question. It's fine to have both sides represented on Rising, but let's not have delusional people.
