      stop breathing. what i mean by that is don't force your exhale. let it flow naturally. kind of consciously hold your breath just a little bit while letting little bit of exhaling air out of your body

    This stuff is accurate, and if you're having trouble I find it much easier as long as you have the proper breath support and you sing using your diaphragm. It helps to keep you from being too nostrilly.

      Edwin Myers yes but i think its not to the point that you sound weird with nose pinched.

    • @MadameCorgi
      @MadameCorgi 6 лет назад +4

      The nose is one of the major resonators, so to completely eliminate it would be to reduce tonal quality

      Yes, but don't over do it or you'll sound like a jackass.

    • @mattalston-fisher2535
      @mattalston-fisher2535 6 лет назад +5

      It’s complicated, but letting air into your nasal cavity creates ‘nasalance’ and not nasal resonance.
      When we sing (in most languages), we want a high soft palate and no air going into the nasal cavity.

      You are raising your larynx up too high and choking your sound off. Practice songs in a lower range until you learn the proper way to sing, if you haven’t already.
