@@JPLamoureuxsTravels it's lovely to see how they treat their stray animals; however, don't be fooled... the Turkish men are abhorrent ... they do not care about their wives. You are there on holiday, therefore of course you see only the best of what they want you to see. I had a friendship with a 'lovely' Turkish man and his English wife (she was my best friend). She loved her children, her garden, her friends. He slit her throat, cut off her wedding finger ... in front of their 5 year old and 3 year old children. And then waited for the police. This happened in England. His defence in Court was "had this happened in Turkey he would be allowed to do it due to their religion". I don't mean to disparage your view on your holiday J.P. but please don't Disneyfy it. You keep saying disparaging things about the UK, in favour of Turkey and I'm just trying to point out the reality. I am very pleased for you and Sammie that you've had a fab holiday. You both deserve it. But, please, don't get gobbled up in 'how lovely' the Guys were towards you..... Human rights (look into it). God bless xx

Great entrepreneurs 🫰🍤🦐 great the way they look after their animals and streets, other countries could learn a thing or two from the Turkish on the subject. That seafront restaurant/cafe was our local back in the day..... Partner worked in a silver shop in the side street nearby. They keep the cats and dogs happy because they keep the cockroaches in check. Street dogs have tags to denote spaying by the govt, street cats have a nick cut in their ear. The instrument is a kemenchj.

Nice one brings back memories, not been there for 34 years. Remember going to a carpet warehouse and drinking loads of apple tea , the carpets are amazing . I was there the first 2 weeks of July, it was very hot. Back in 1990 they told us not to eat ice-cream their but I suppose it's got better now. Thinking about it I think they said don't buy it from the street sellers. I got a boat from the Greek island Samos to Kusadasi it's the closest Greek island in the agean sea . The only thing was the turks and Greeks have never got on ,and we had to leave our passports at the customs in the port.❤

Yeah the stray cats and dogs aren't strays like here or in other countries they are community cats and dogs, everybody feeds them and looks after them after all they help to keep pests down so they reward them for doing a good job, but on the whole the turkish people do love animals. We went to Kusadasi on a cruise a few years ago and went to Ephesus that was amazing place to visit. A bit of interest trivia for you in the main street there is a stone carve with a foot shape, it would have been near where the brothels were and it was used to measure the size of men's feet to make sure they were old enough to visit the brothels. I have a photo somewhere of the hubby measuring his foot and it was to small hahaha xx
