I wish Matt would've explained how Michael is playing a character with bad handling and that he needs to use the brakes often. I really want Michael to get the hang of the game because I know he will enjoy it once he does. I'd love to see more of this
To be fair he DID say to use brakes, micheal just ignored him because... idk, he probabpy cant wrap his head around the idea that braking makes you turn sharper than drifting.

I also don't think he realized that each character has their own stats unlike Mario Kart and just went for one he liked the look of. Matt should've told him that he's playing an expert character and that's why he's having difficulty turning. I really hope that Michael learns and gets the hang of it soon, I want to see him win more.

@@APEX_FUEGO well a racing line follows the apex of a turn if one is properly drifting one takes the outer most line on a turn so... technically i guess your car would be at a higher angle to the road but you're going much slower and covering a wider distance too
@@APEX_FUEGO Rally and Rx don't disagree at all. Both of those use drifting due to a lack of traction, not because of drifting being inherently better. They can powerslide because to get through a lot of those turns without sliding would involve extreme drops in speed to maintain traction. You don't see f1 cars drifting, or racecars on any actual track with an improved surface.
I just bought my first Harry's razor, and found it hard at first, because my dad left and never taught me to shave, but after a few strokes with the razor I found the razor to be very gentle in comparison to other razors. I'm glad I was able to find a great brand through my favorite RUclipsrs. You guys have been very influential in my humor and have always been able to get me to laugh when ever I'm having a less than perfect day, I'm so glad there's people like Achievement Hunters to make people happy. He put himself at such an unfair advantage with this too. If I remember correctly he mentioned practicing some of the levels and that put him several steps ahead of everyone else because he found some cheeky shortcuts. Videos like this would be funnier and more entertaining when everyone is on an equal playing field imo.

This is giving me the most wicked nostalgia because I always played the og on the ps2 with my older cousins during family reunions and the last time I played was probably when I was 6 or 7, but I still recognize these maps and exactly where I'd trip up and everything. I didn't even know they re-released it until now I'm so glad they kept it the same

This is my favorite racing game. Can play this and the original for hours. Jumping while drifting can also make your turns tighter. The only thing this game lacks to the original is the ability to do cups. Having to pick a race every time is irritating.
I think they would appreciate how the game's mechanics feel, but in order for them to make a decent video out of it, they (or someone else) would have to pretty much beat the game first in order to unlock all the vehicles/venues/characters. Then you'd have to take in to account the upgrade system for the cars. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them play Jak X, too, but I don't think that they would feel like it's worth all that grinding.
First half Matt playing one of the two best characters in the game. Penta Penguin being the other one. Then Polar skinned as a Panda one of the slowest. Jeremy playing an even character not particularly good or bad(ie Cortex). Michael playing Tiny Tiger a difficult character but equal to Dingo Dile. Gavin playing one of the slowest the whole time. Skill and knowing how to drift is very important in this game and the maps. But I would say those things are pretty similar to Mario Kart as far as developing the skill
This game is incredible. Beats Mario Kart in my opinion. But it sucks that Michael took one of the worst characters at turning to play this. He would have done much better with balanced characters like Crash, or good at turning like Polar Panda.

If I remember correctly: Tiny has Max Top Speed, Good Acceleration, and Terrible Handling Cortex is middle for everything Pura has Slow top speed, good handling, max acceleration. I was an N.Gin player. Crunch I'd assume has Tiny's Stats. Oxide had max everything. Or maybe that was N.Tropy.
