It's been something I was looking to do for a while. Being in the middle of my season though, it is tough to really work on your swing and make big changes like this. So I broke it up into a couple of steps. Firstly, I shortened it up a touch. Then I started trying to get the feeling like I would stop at the top of my swing. After my AJGA New York, I was able to do some work for the Northern Junior as I had a week off. My swing got more to what I liked, and I played very well there. Now I'm gearing up for the Joe Cheves and Bobby Chapman Invitationals in August and September.
Do u use a neutral grip in the left hand? From this angle it appears that way. Also what does it feel like the right wrist does at the top? Bend or no bend? And which way if it does. Wrist break is always a big discussion and was curious what your thoughts are when at the top of your backswing. Ty! Great vid as usual.
I do strive to have a neutral grip, and for the most part, it stays there. It may slide every now and then to a bit of a stronger side but I fix that quickly. At the top of my swing, I do not feel any wrist hinge or bend. It's just my normal. If you have seen the Tiger 1997 swing, that's what I'm going for. It's getting there, but I still have some work to do.
I really like how you got your swing so much more upright at the top. Very reminiscent of a young Tiger Woods.
