I am so thankful to have found your video of Nick Caves exhibit. You have given me and others a great gift. Your visual presentation ,structure and timing, the music, everything so beautifully given to us of this very important work.
Thank you so much for this sharing this video! I wasn't able to see Nick Cave's new exhibition when I visited New York recently, but I really wanted to. It is a real treat to see it here!
Item at 4.46 mins is NOT a 'spitoon '(thankfully) . It is part of an antique cast iron money box. These are available to buy online. I bought one myself for the same reason as Nick Cave.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge about the alike object. Here is how the museum describes this artwork on its website: www.guggenheim.org/audio/track/description-of-sea-sick-2014 They point out that the initial purpose of the object is not always immediately apparent. Thankfully nowadays, we even cannot imagine that some objects were used in such an offensive (cruel) way.
Illuminating exhibit😊❤❤❤ Thank you for this inspiring video 🎉😊

A great overview. I needed to kill the audio after a bit. Somehow I see this work outside, in the sun.
A great and fantastic video. It almost feels to me as if I have seen the exhibition in person. Great love and appreciation from South Africa.
