Thanks for this and for the tutorial on Ezeiza airport. Is the Visa tourist rate the same as the blue rate in the cuevas? You are the only Argentina RUclipsr I've seen that emphasizes that the exchange rate and prices are highly volatile and subject to change; that information about it is good only for a short time. I am interested in retiring there so this stuff is quite important.
Great video! My wife & I will be going to Argentina for our honeymoon, & we’re worried about which airline to take within the country from Buenos Aires to Bariloche for the 2nd leg of our trip. We’ve both heard horror stories about spontaneously re-scheduled flights among other things. Would you rather fly JetSmart in their “pack full” option or Aerolíneas Argentinas Premium Economy? The reason why we’re selecting these options is to have checked bags included in our fare & to ensure we have overhead space. We also know that although we’re flying into EZE Airport, we’ll have to fly out of AEP Airport to get to Bariloche & back. Would 10-12 hrs be sufficient to arrive back at AEP Airport & catch a taxi to EZE Airport? Thank you!
Hi, thank you! I would recommend Aerolineas Argentinas. They are maybe a bit more strike sensitive but they have more connections in case there is a rescheduling. Sure, 10-12 hours is sufficient enough. There is a private transfer available for that connection: secretsofbuenosaires.com/tour/airport-transfer-aep-eze/ Have a nice trip!
@@SecretsofBuenosAires thank you! Depending on the deal, we may split the trip between JetSmart one way and Aerolíneas the other way. Will let you know how it goes! Yes! I am fortunate enough to have a corporate rate through my job that can be used for leisure travel at 2 hotels in the Recoleta area. We’re in the process of planning all the activities, restaurants etc. we want to experience and are so excited!
When you are giving the prices of the meal at the restaurant you said 15 - 20 dollars. Is that in the official exchange rate, MEP, or blue? Also, when you say if you pay 15 in offical exchange rate but you use the tourist rate, you will pay around 11. You're referring to using your card to pay and getting the MEP rate? Does the blue rate still exist?
Hi, 15 USD at official exchange rate for a meal per person. With tourist exchange rate it will be a bit cheaper now. When you pay with credit card you get the tourist exchange rate. The MEP rate is something used by Argentine companies to buy dollars. Mostly that rate is higher (so more expensive for companies to buy USD). The blue rate still exists.
Thank you will be my 5th time but this time as i’m retiring will be for 2 months with my little dog, next january. i’m in love with Buenos Aires
.
Are you originally from Argentina? This is my first time coming across your content 😊 but we are heading out there in November 💪🏽 🇦🇷
