I think it's important to note for anyone curious, Kenjaku had NO plan for Yuji. He literally just did it for fun, by his own admission. Which may be the greatest piece of JJK lore, ever.
Personally I think he did because it's more interesting than "yuji faces 100 coincidences a week" like think about it, what are the odds that yuji(one of the few people capable of being sukuna's vessel) studies in the same school where one of sukuna's fingers is housed? What are the odds that the moment the finger's seal is broken a first grade level curse immediately appears? Or that the same happens to junpei's mom?

The death paintings were all considered failed experiments, so I doubt Kenjaku was anticipating any of the exact events of Yuji's life beyond him having the potential to be a good sorcerer. The incident with Junpei's mom was largely Mahito's doing, if memory serves. Though I'm sure Kenjaku is interested in Yuji and how he would grow and react to things. The school part is definitely interesting though. I wonder if Kenny wanted to stay close to the finger at the school but had to abandon that body

Also correction: it's never stated sukuna was defeated, just that he split his body in the fingers to traverse time. It's most likely he did it on purpose, this being supported by Uraume "preparing" for his revival

Yuta actually has a cursed energy trait too, but it's more so implied. In the japanese, his cursed energy is, a lot of the time, accompanied by sound effects like ぬる, implying a thick, tepid feeling to his cursed energy. It's not really confirmed but I thought it was interesting
Piggyback on the sukuna twin theory: If Sukuna was a twin and he devoured his twin to gain his power it could explain his cannibal nature and his op abilities as he consumed his body and soul and “became whole” according to the twin logic we already see in the story

I imagine he also appreciates the traction the anime brings to the shrine. But Ryomen Sukuna wasn't a very positive figure even in mythology. I’m surprised a really popular theory about Nobara’s return wasn’t on this iceberg, she said the same line of “understanding the core of cursed energy” before her fight with Mahito that Gojo used when he resurrected himself from the brink of death using RCT, we also know she’s very skilled with cursed energy, being so good with it that she can detonate her own CE from a great distance away and even hit a black flash, and seeing as how Nitta’s brother paused the state of her body after Mahito’s attack, it’s extremely plausible that she could master CE even further while on the brink of death, figure out RCT, and heal herself (and hopefully leave a badass scar)

i think the craziest thing was yuuji being the son of kenjaku. of course he wasn't normal, but he was the son of THE kenjaku. and when he's told this, and how everything was planned from the start, even the finger he ate to save megumi. kenjaku said that even if that finger wasn't eaten by yuuji at that moment, kenjaku would've looked for another moment to push him to eat it. nothing yuuji has ever done has ever been his true will. yes he chose to do them in that moment, but ultimately he was always going to eat that finger whether or not he liked it. and it utterly destroys yuuji in every sense of the word, like his mental health is decimated from this point on yuuji is just some kid who got involved with this crazy ass world and he's having like the worst 5 months of his life. his life has spiraled out of control and everyone barely explains anything to him. like mans got it rough

I found a post somewhere on r/Jujutsushi, that talked about how Gege apparently gained inspiration to create JJK. Apparently, the guy used to browse occult threads on 4chan a lot, and one day found an old Shinto myth about the demon cannibal twin. In it, there was an evil, evil man in the Heian period of Japan, who wanted to cause chaos all over the country. To do so, he gathered “cursed” children from all over the lands, two of which were twins. They were thrown in a cage with the other cursed kids, and the evil man left the kids to destroy and kill each other until there was only one survivor left (kinda like the “most poisonous insect in a Chinese jar” thing). Eventually, out of all the kids in the cage, only one of the two twins was left. The surviving twin had to eat his dead twin in order to survive. The evil man then declared this new cannibal twin the winner of the cage, and mummified him through a ritual with a bunch of other cultists. This cannibal twin would be turned into a demon, and go on to cause great havoc for the country of Japan in his lifetime. It might be a completely made up post, idk. That’s what I remember reading there.
It makes sense because it is analagous to the different foretellings of Ryomen Sukuna and the meaning of Ryomen (two faces), some says he's a hero while some says he's a villain. It's even more apparent that Sukuna is a conjoined twin because of what happened to Maki and Mai (twins are like halves of a whole in this verse). But unlike Maki and Mai where the vow is broken by mutual agreement of siphoning Mai's life force into Maki, Sukuna and his twin might be also heavenly restricted yet one of them forced to break the vow by cannabilism.
Not only that, but yuji might experience his 3rd 'death' very close to winter, on november 16th, i doubt he's doing well after crashing into that building

I always thought his technique was even simpler than people realize. I keep seeing things about storing or stealing techiques and I think the obvious answer has been dangling in front of our faces this whole time. Sukuna can take cursed tools, and upon meeting some condition, he can etch the tool onto his soul and turn it into a cursed technique. We always see sukuna holding weapons in flashback panels/explanations of his techniques and always assumed they were metaphorical or non-canon. After seeing the significance of Toji's soul liberation blade from that panel ages ago I think it's safe to say that those weapons are (or were) very real and very significant. The name of his domain expansion can be interpreted as a place of storing weapons instead of a shrine, unfortunately I forget the word. He etches cursed tools onto his soul, which then causes symbols of them to appear on his skin, at which point he can use the effect of the tool as a technique. It is as painfully simple as it is horrifyingly effective.
That's so interesting, it kind of reminds me of Gilgamesh from the fate series, the whole storing powerful weapons and using them as the user pleases is truly an op ability.
What hints at it being something more complex is what he says to Jogo after he uses this weird technique. "Oh that's right,you're a cursed spirit so you wouldn't know about this"
There's one guy that theorizes it's related to some mythology related to Shiva and Indra, as both God's used some form of bladed weapon and a divine bow. Shiva has a bow that fired an arrow of fire, and Indra has a bow that fired an arrow of lightning. Sukuna used fire against Jogo likely in a bid to test his divine fire against normal cursed fire, and this lightning guy could be set up simply to be used as a stepping stone for Sukuna to show off his lightning. Sukuna even took a stance that looked like he was drawing an arrow when he used his fire.

My favorite part (and most emotionally devastating one) of the whole en chain deal is that, after everything yuji has been throught and how he developped has a character, he would probably never accept sukunas deal ever again and instead just let himself die. For Yuta's condition, Rika has to consume a body part of the person to gain their cursed technique, this is how he got Uro's technique in the Sendai Colony. But it's also hard to be confident about it considering that he also has Inumaki's ability and we know Rika didn't just consume a part of Inumaki. So I found it really interesting when you talked about the part of knowing his opponent well enough to copy them, maybe like how Rika and Yuta's bond is, if he cares for someone and it's mutual, he could replicate their cursed technique. "Love". Just like their own curse. Or maybe it's just JJK0 being a "beta version" of Jujutsu Kaisen and it's more of a thing that was added to Yuta and hard to explain when his technique was put more in depth into the Sendai Colony.
Maybe Rika consumed the arm that Inumaki lost in Shibuya? In vol 0 she created a Cursed Speech megaphone so maybe she had only consumed a Cursed Tool infused with Cursed Speech at that point But it's likely just Gege not thinking about expansive lore and long-term consitency due to vol 0 being a one shot
i've always thought that yuta can copy the techiques that have been used on/against him. for cursed speech it's a little dicey but there IS a part in 0 where inumaki tries to use cursed speech to get yuta to run but it doesn't work

Kenjaku said that tengen had a similar appearance to sukuna, and Tengen had started to change from human to curse. Sukuna is likely similar. He got so entwined with ce that he lost his humanity.

I love Jujutsu Kaisen but Ive noticed when I read manga I have a hard time picking up details, so while most of what is listed in this video are fan theories, they are posited from information that Ive not really noticed or had a hard time deciphering so it adds quite a lot to the story I never really was able to pick up

Like is it all genetic/determined at birth or can sorcerers create their own cursed techniques? Like I know Megumi and Yuta and Gojo have had their techniques from birth but what about your average Joe sorcerer, do they craft their technique through binding vows or is it something they awaken after getting a certain understanding of how to control cursed energy?
Also, Black Flash is not a distortion of the atmosphere, it's said to be a distortion of space itself. The nth of a second distortion is so quick it creates a distortion in space (the actual thing that does damage), creating a black flash as a side effect. Which I think only makes the theory stronger, actually. Because another side effect of performing Black Flash is the user temporarily gains a boost allowing them to surpass their physical limits.

My theory about RCT and Idle Transfiguration is that RCT returns the shape of the body to its original state by infusing the soul with positive/reversed cursed energy, since Mahito is overwriting the shape of the soul, it cannot undo the damage caused by idle transfiguration. Likely the only way to fix idle transfiguration is to morph the shape of the soul to the original state and then use RCT to heal any issue damage caused by the original morphing. But jjk is always pulling at the soul body duality and the paradoxes it seem to cause (ex: toji's body overwriting the soul of the guy that summoned him) so who knows what will happen

I'm going to be honest I typically stay away from icebergs that typically deal with anime because most of the time they're pretty much basic knowledge that's throughout the entire anime if you pay attention but I actually like this one is pretty well done
My theory based off this video is that Sukanas technique we see(dismantle and cleave) IS the reversal to his true technique. His original technique was natural reverse cursed healing(or making things out of thin air and the reverse is destroying things) and that made him godlike with Tengen. What makes him the fallen is giving up on doing good after seeing the same cycle and helping the hurt.
Does the Space Slash count? Like Sukuna did kind of create a new technique out of thin air. Although he took mahoraga's help as a model but I can see this happening.

The Global Mythology part is something I rarely see. Glad somebody actually brings this up. If Tengen’s Barrier didn’t exist, we'd have Cursed Spirits that represent the worlds fear of Guns, Darkness, Death, etc like in Chainsaw Man. And the idea of Sorcerers existing as famous characters in History definitely has a lot of potential
What a goated video. I threw my phone on two occasions, once when you reminded me of Reggie’s last words to Megumi, which considering the current situation in the manga, hold devastating weight. The second was when you presented the 4 Yuji Deaths theory, which also has insane implications and weight thanks to recent manga developments. I really hope Gege has a solid plan and hits a homerun with the series as a whole. We’ve been seeing a lot of series have huge shocking twists only to heavily fumble the bag in the finale (AoT, TPN, DS, MHA) so I pray Gege’s vision isn’t interfered with and he’s allowed to end the story how he sees fit. i think the craziest thing was yuuji being the son of kenjaku. of course he wasn't normal, but he was the son of THE kenjaku. and when he's told this, and how everything was planned from the start, even the finger he ate to save megumi. kenjaku said that even if that finger wasn't eaten by yuuji at that moment, kenjaku would've looked for another moment to push him to eat it. nothing yuuji has ever done has ever been his true will. yes he chose to do them in that moment, but ultimately he was always going to eat that finger whether or not he liked it. and it utterly destroys yuuji in every sense of the word, like his mental health is decimated from this point on

I found a post somewhere on r/Jujutsushi, that talked about how Gege apparently gained inspiration to create JJK. Apparently, the guy used to browse occult threads on 4chan a lot, and one day found an old Shinto myth about the demon cannibal twin. In it, there was an evil, evil man in the Heian period of Japan, who wanted to cause chaos all over the country. To do so, he gathered “cursed” children from all over the lands, two of which were twins. They were thrown in a cage with the other cursed kids, and the evil man left the kids to destroy and kill each other until there was only one survivor left (kinda like the “most poisonous insect in a Chinese jar” thing). Eventually, out of all the kids in the cage, only one of the two twins was left. The surviving twin had to eat his dead twin in order to survive. The evil man then declared this new cannibal twin the winner of the cage, and mummified him through a ritual with a bunch of other cultists. This cannibal twin would be turned into a demon, and go on to cause great havoc for the country of Japan in his lifetime.

It makes sense because it is analagous to the different foretellings of Ryomen Sukuna and the meaning of Ryomen (two faces), some says he's a hero while some says he's a villain.
It's even more apparent that Sukuna is a conjoined twin because of what happened to Maki and Mai (twins are like halves of a whole in this verse). But unlike Maki and Mai where the vow is broken by mutual agreement of siphoning Mai's life force into Maki, Sukuna and his twin might be also heavenly restricted yet one of them forced to break the vow by cannabilism.

I always thought his technique was even simpler than people realize. I keep seeing things about storing or stealing techiques and I think the obvious answer has been dangling in front of our faces this whole time.
Sukuna can take cursed tools, and upon meeting some condition, he can etch the tool onto his soul and turn it into a cursed technique.
We always see sukuna holding weapons in flashback panels/explanations of his techniques and always assumed they were metaphorical or non-canon. After seeing the significance of Toji's soul liberation blade from that panel ages ago I think it's safe to say that those weapons are (or were) very real and very significant.
The name of his domain expansion can be interpreted as a place of storing weapons instead of a shrine, unfortunately I forget the word.
He etches cursed tools onto his soul, which then causes symbols of them to appear on his skin, at which point he can use the effect of the tool as a technique.
It is as painfully simple as it is horrifyingly effective.
That's so interesting, it kind of reminds me of Gilgamesh from the fate series, the whole storing powerful weapons and using them as the user pleases is truly an op ability.

There's one guy that theorizes it's related to some mythology related to Shiva and Indra, as both God's used some form of bladed weapon and a divine bow.
Shiva has a bow that fired an arrow of fire, and Indra has a bow that fired an arrow of lightning. Sukuna used fire against Jogo likely in a bid to test his divine fire against normal cursed fire, and this lightning guy could be set up simply to be used as a stepping stone for Sukuna to show off his lightning.
Sukuna even took a stance that looked like he was drawing an arrow when he used his fire.

For Yuta's condition, Rika has to consume a body part of the person to gain their cursed technique, this is how he got Uro's technique in the Sendai Colony. But it's also hard to be confident about it considering that he also has Inumaki's ability and we know Rika didn't just consume a part of Inumaki.
So I found it really interesting when you talked about the part of knowing his opponent well enough to copy them, maybe like how Rika and Yuta's bond is, if he cares for someone and it's mutual, he could replicate their cursed technique. "Love". Just like their own curse.
Or maybe it's just JJK0 being a "beta version" of Jujutsu Kaisen and it's more of a thing that was added to Yuta and hard to explain when his technique was put more in depth into the Sendai Colony.

Also, Black Flash is not a distortion of the atmosphere, it's said to be a distortion of space itself. The nth of a second distortion is so quick it creates a distortion in space (the actual thing that does damage), creating a black flash as a side effect.

My theory about RCT and Idle Transfiguration is that RCT returns the shape of the body to its original state by infusing the soul with positive/reversed cursed energy, since Mahito is overwriting the shape of the soul, it cannot undo the damage caused by idle transfiguration. Likely the only way to fix idle transfiguration is to morph the shape of the soul to the original state and then use RCT to heal any issue damage caused by the original morphing. But jjk is always pulling at the soul body duality and the paradoxes it seem to cause (ex: toji's body overwriting the soul of the guy that summoned him) so who knows what will happen

because of how long they are , most youtubers get pretty lax on the editing and script writing on these big icebergs . If Tengen’s Barrier didn’t exist, we'd have Cursed Spirits that represent the worlds fear of Guns, Darkness, Death, etc like in Chainsaw Man. And the idea of Sorcerers existing as famous characters in History definitely has a lot of potential
What a goated video. I threw my phone on two occasions, once when you reminded me of Reggie’s last words to Megumi, which considering the current situation in the manga, hold devastating weight. The second was when you presented the 4 Yuji Deaths theory, which also has insane implications and weight thanks to recent manga developments.
I really hope Gege has a solid plan and hits a homerun with the series as a whole. We’ve been seeing a lot of series have huge shocking twists only to heavily fumble the bag in the finale (AoT, TPN, DS, MHA) so I pray Gege’s vision isn’t interfered with and he’s allowed to end the story how he sees fit.
