  • Join us on a #tour of an amazing hydroponics greenhouse! We'll explore the best ways to manage vining crops and take a deep dive into two popular indoor techniques - Slab grown tomato growing and growing tomatoes in Dutch Buckets. We'll learn about how these methods work and how they recirculate and save water.
Trellising and managing vine crops in a greenhouse setting is crucial. Horticulturist Drew Demler discusses vine management methods that help encourage more consistent shapes for better-marketed crops.

Put the collection reservoir/nutrient solution tote in the ground. Not only will you be able to use one tote with gravity feed but the ground will keep the nutrient solution at a stable cooler temperature.

Hello, I was wondering is there a way to incorporate a wicking mat with your 72 cell air pruning tray? So just setting that on top of a self-wicking mat system? Thank you!

I personally have not tried it but given the large hole at the bottom, with the right mix it could work.

To prevent root rot in a Dutch bucket or an NFT hydroponic grow, it's important to maintain a well-ventilated environment and use clean, quality water sources. Additionally, you should regularly maintain and monitor the pH level of the nutrient solution and ensure that the roots are not sitting in standing water for too long. It's also beneficial to use plant guards/pots to protect the roots from direct contact with the nutrient solution.
