That looks amazing . The detail on the set up is fantastic. We love carnivals and this is one of the best I've seen. Worth alot of money being carnival rides
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been overseas and have just returned. I used sand over diluted white PVA glue for the sandy walkways. Many of the trees are handmade, but some are Lemax #74174.
I love the lights you added to the different stalls. I want to do this with my carnival as well, but I don't know what kind of lights those are or how to mod the pieces?
Stephanie Tingle Thank you for your compliments! Most of the shrubs and bushes are handmade, either using "clump foliage" from model trains suppliers or my own "bottle-brush" technique. The sidewalks are made of thin cardboard painted with "textured" paint - ie. paint mixed with white craft (PVA)glue and coarse river sand. The grass is hand laid using Noch 2.5mm Spring/Summer grass fibres. Have fun on your own creation! Please check out my other Carnival videos and give them a thumbs up if you enjoy them!
How lovely!! I saw your response to how you made your roads and grass, but I would like to know what you've laid it all on. Meaning, what is your base? It appears to be modular pieces, so if you can verify that as well, I'd appreciate it!!
+Lanna Lejeune Thank you for your interest in my Carnival. The roads are painted directly onto the baseboard which is made of 3mm particle board. Most people use a really thick baseboard - total overkill - it makes it hard to drill holes.
Eddie, I run an E-commerce site out of Sydney Australia called "Christmas Dreams". It is not viable to send out of Australia due to the exorbitant postal costs.
+Kevin and Michelle 100, Thanks for your interest! It is a home-made project, using a small ice-cream cup, a few straws, the lid off a yogurt tub for the roof, some LEDs and a Christmas ornamental snowman I picked up from the roadside! Except for the servo and its controller, the whole thing cost me $0.00 - cheap, I like! Hahahaha!
+Ultimate Villager Thanks for the info and the link, wow not into that sort of effort just yet, im sure we will be in the next year or so, bought that much stuff this year just got to try and find the room to display it all , set up the base and now relise will need to make it bigger lol, will post up once finished although my take us a while yet
+Kevin and Michelle 100 I have done many big displays, in the early days Big was beautiful, but in the past 3 years I have gone the other way - small, with many home made bits and pieces and cheap to build, takes up less room, but equally challenging. So don't get carried away with "volume" - go rather for quality and details! Have fun!

Thank you for your kind comments!! The rides ARE expensive, but I made up for that with all the homemade gardens and lighting.

I love the lights you added to the different stalls. I want to do this with my carnival as well, but I don't know what kind of lights those are or how to mod the pieces?
I use "strip LEDs" that come in reels of 5 metres x 300LEDs x 5V USB power, but they do come in 12V versions so if you have spare adaptors.
@@dezzodarling Thank you!! 😁
Wow it looks so fun
Wat een werk
Beautiful! 💕 could you please let me know where you found those awesome shrubs/bushes and all how you made your sidewalks? Thanks!

Sorry, I saw your response was for the sidewalks, not the road. How is your road made?
