Camacho coming in hot with the full in-depth breakdown. So much stuff in here that is applicable to all characters. Types of moves to use, how to condition/annoy opponents, getting them to press into your CH tools...thank you so much!
I can understand it when you break it down in practice mode but I cannot make sense of it in game at all. I've hit up to TK with Paul but feel like I legit have the offense of a red rank at the very best. I've tried to learn other characters that are good offensively but I am just permanently afraid to press buttons in this game and I cannot break that habit. Do you have any recommendations for how to break this? I'm picking up Lee for fun but it's still the same problem regardless of character. I've tried Steve, Jack, Paul, Shaheen, Bryan, Law, now picking up Lee. It's not like an execution problem either. I'd hit a F1+2 on Law or Paul and still just backdash away. I hit a 1,2, I backdash away. I just don't understand offense in this game and it's so horribly frustrating. I feel like I'm bashing my head against the wall repeatedly and nothing sticks and nothing makes sense. The funny part is people call Tekken 8 Mashen 8 and I just can't figure out how to do anything other than hope for a CH launch or random DF2 launches.
@@Dunkaholic18 you need to be ok with getting hit, before you press a button think about two possibilities; that it lands, or that it gets blocked. You should decide what your next action will be before you press, and if it doesnt work out thats ok. Conditioning is the sauce for good offense. And nothing teaches people habits better than reward, and doing damage to you is their reward for you teaching them habits you can exploit better. If youre still just backdashing then thats a muscle memory issue and you should practice just pressing a bunch.
@@supercamacho774 Thanks for the response. I'm trying to figure out how to word it correctly without just coming off as a salty bitch lol. I'd say in my head I just mentally cannot go into a game "just pressing a bunch", that just doesn't make sense to me. What do I press? When do I press? Those are the types of things that pop in my head. I can't just go into a game and just press buttons, I'd think too much and completely freeze up.
I'm so happy we have you as our Lee youtuber
