Great video. Thank you for testing these configurations. I would love to know how well the X53 performs with an NF-A9x25 to see how it compares to the performance of the NF-A9x14.
Teseted Noctua NF A12x25 PWM for AXP90 instead of stock fan - works as a song, very quiet Bear in mind though that the proximity to the case wall grate can make the noise loud - had to switch to x47 due to it Great video
I observed the same thing, those stock fans move a lot of air but they're loader as a trade off. Maybe a normalized test would yield better results for the Noctua's
I used an arctic p12 max fan and could sustain higher clocks and cinebench score. You could try to bench mark that too pure performance although a bit louder than noctua
Intresting that the 92mm noctua beat the 120mm variants in cooling! I wonder if it is the way the fans where placed or that there was a bit a presure loss due to the frame not sealing on the heatsink anymore?
i think part of the reason is metal bracket is blocking some of the pathway of the air to move. the other point would be it would be intresting to know how long the clock speeds stayed stable temperature isnt everything it could be the cpu is using the extra cooling capacity to stay at a higher clock speed for longer
Mission incomplete: 1. Missing results for same temp, but different dB(A). 2. Missing 140x15mm that would cool RAM @ lower RPM (arctic, thermalright, silverstone, no noctua)
If you only look at the CPU cooling performance, the bundle fan is the best, and you want to reduce the quietness of the cooler and the ambient temperature of the motherboard, 120mm is the best.
Let me aks u one more question please. I built a louqe ghost with ryzen 7 5800x3d. What cooling solution u suggest? An id cooling is 47s is do the job?Or swap the ventilator?Or anything else? Thx for ur asnwer@@DalraeMyo
I understand that the IS47S has a worse cooling performance than I thought. For LOQUE GHOST S1, the maximum mountable CPU cooler is 66 mm high. Therefore, the most recommended CPU cooler is the NOCTUA NH-L12 Ghost Edition.@@capybara_time
Amazing results!! Thanks for your great works!!
Nice test as always! I love my AXP90-X53 BLACK (with a NF-A9x14 HS) using it to cool a ryzen 5700X on a fractal design terra with no problem
Great video. Thank you for testing these configurations. I would love to know how well the X53 performs with an NF-A9x25 to see how it compares to the performance of the NF-A9x14.
If I have a chance, I will proceed with the test.
@@DalraeMyo Great! I look forward to seeing the results.

best comparison ever

I'm amazed the stock fan performed the best. Goes to show that bigger isn't always better!
stock fan had slightly better CPU temp but significantly worse VRM temps
RAM temps were not measured, but i am certain it were better with 120x25 too
The only thing this test missed was a 9025 fan, which would be the go to for increaded cooling
awesome video and comparison. can you provide any details where you got the adapter from?
great work, thanks!
Hey, i'm planing to use this cpu cooler, but why not try with the nf-a9?, the no Slim versión of the 92mm noctua fan?
Yep..... Thermalright do make quality product...... and your video was 👍👍
I used an arctic p12 max fan and could sustain higher clocks and cinebench score. You could try to bench mark that too pure performance although a bit louder than noctua
so the stock fan is the best but with a 5db higher noise
if you don't want to tune your fan curves and just want the lowest temps... yes. but that's quite a specific scenario.
Hi is the fan set to intake (blowing air onto the heatsink) or exhaust ?
ooo I like when you saw this cooler you thought to test what I was thinking :) Subscribed!
Thanks 🎉❤

@@jamv2122 there’s another version of those adapter that doesn’t block the fins that would been good to see as well
@@humilicious you may be able to get round the lose of air using rubber gaskets between the fan and the bracket.

i wonder what would happen if NF-A9 PWM CHROMAX were used
Thanks for the test. You can share a link where to buy such an adapter for installing a 120mm fan
I bought an adapter from AliExpress.
Search Google for AXP90 120mm adapter and you'll find it.
