      did you use the wilton brand? Sometimes the different brands melt differently. But as mentioned in the video add a little oil or shortening to it and it will thin it out. Like 1 to 2 tsps.

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  Год назад +1

      You are welcome! You can make them 3 to 5 days in advance. It depends on the chocolate that you use and how warm it is inside your house. If it isn't too warm you can store these at room temp. But I would cover them with like a plastic bag or something. Otherwise just store them in the fridge.

      Chocolate-covered strawberries don't have a very long shelf life and really need to be made and eaten on the same day. Otherwise, the strawberry starts to break down and makes the chocolate sweat. @@pdesai2340

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  2 месяца назад

      Depending on how warm you house is, you can just store them at room temp or in the fridge. That is quite awhile ahead of time though. There are little plastic treat bags that you can get on amazing that are perfect for these, works great if you want to give them as gifts.

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  Месяц назад +1

      I haven't, mmm make sure to pick the double-stuffed ones those will be much easier to get the stick in without them breaking. And make sure the chocolate that you are dipping them in is as thin as possible. A tsp or two of shortening will help thin it out when you are heating it up.

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  10 месяцев назад

      Hello! Try adding a tsp or two of vegetable shortening or vegetable oil when melting it. That should make it runnier. Or try a different kind like the almond bark style of chocolate, that melts very thin on its own. Loghouse CandiQuik is my favorite melting chocolate but I can't seem to find it much anymore. Normal dark chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips also melt thin on their own. Milk chocolate tends to need a little help as well.

      Each chocolate is different from A-Z. From the chocolate to it's mate. Peppermint patty why add peppermint?

    • @SylviaDait
      @SylviaDait 11 месяцев назад

      Tip: each chocolate mate gives a different texture, flavor and treat. cultural chocolates such as dutch chocolate requires a mate that goes perfectly ( a match made in heaven) together. Example adding cream instead of oil heads towards dutch flavors which is cultural.

      You might be sticking them in too far or not using a small enough stick, or the doublestuff oreos. Make sure to dip it in chocolate before sticking it into the middle, that will help the stick stay on as well.
