Salut encore des paysages magnifiques, belles prises de vues avec ton drone( quel est le modèle?) combien de temps a duré ce voyage et distance. est tu content de cette Ducati? a bientot
Hi there! Thank you very much! Because of the drone rules and regulations I had to downgrade to this DJI mini 4 pro. But I like the fact that it has a follow-me function. It's not strong enough in the wind, but it's good for not professional shots :) This trip was one month long, but I spent just three weeks in Greece because it takes almost a week to get to Greece from Bergen, Norway. DesertX is an awesome bike. The main thing I love is the way it looks, and that is the most important aspect of the bike you own, right? If I could change one thing it would be a Desmo engine, cause that is more expensive to service and it's not an easy task to do if you need to do a valve adjustment and replace the timing belts. Otherways is a very capable bike and looks like after changing 5 bikes in 4 years this one will stay with me for a very long. Cheers from Norway!
@@nemoltu To tell the truth, I'm not a fan of Ducati mechanics, which are not practical if you do long trips... the belts have to be changed every 30,000 km on this model, so it's okay, but I'm not convinced of the interest of this type of bike which remains heavy to take on difficult technical terrain (although it is not representative of an entire trip). I remain in favor of staying on a light bike like the AJP PR7, I have had it for 1 year and 11,000 km. Where I agree with you is on the beauty of this bike.
@@atprodT700 I completely agree with you about the mechanical stuff. ~~But, to be honest, how often do we take our bikes for trips that last more than 30K kilometers, or even more than 10K? As I said, I am really not a fan of a desmo system on this engine and I'm not even trying to say differently. But looks like Ducati getting rid of this engine. As I saw- there is a new "normal" V2 engine is coming. But nowadays bikes are not that easy to work on, and the "big service" intervals are not making it any easier. Even PR7, as you probably know, I did an 11.5K kilometers trip in two months on it, and it already needed a valve adjustment after 10K kilometers and it will need timing chain replacement with another valve clearance check. So we are tied up in this loop. If I had to make a choice for a new bike now, I would probably go with a Honda Africa Twin, not an Adventure Sports version, and probably a 2018 model. Bur DesertX, the way I've set it up now is as good as the AT now, just well this Desmo system :D :D. But I will try to make a video about the Desmo Service DIY on this channel. For the AJP PR7- love it! Still have it, but no long tarmac riding on it anymore, DesertX is a better choice for me, but no Greece TET for sure :D
@@nemoltu For the PR7 the valve clearance moves up to 10000/12000km you can do it yourself then you are quiet up to 30000km. Having spoken with many guys who own PR7s the distribution chain holds up to 30000km minimum. everything is easy on the PR7 from driving to mechanics (anywhere in the world you will find a mechanic capable of working on this rustic and simple engine). of course, on the road you will be more comfortable with a twin cylinder. DUCATI will gain a lot of customers by adopting another engine. according to the many videos I have seen on your channel, indeed the 2018 HONDA AFRICA TWIN will meet your expectations.
I sold my 2018 Africa Twin after 3 years to purchase my Desert X. I found the AT too top heavy as I have a back problem. The Desert X looks amazing as you say but is also an outstanding machine on all terrains and feels gazelle like by comparison. I also see myself owning it for a very long time ! Love your output, keep it up and ride safe.
👌👌👌👍
BRAAAAP! Keep the rubber side up!
Much Enjoyment 👍😎
Always!
When you come again I buy you coffe in Athens and lunch by the sea, after a nice ride !!
Offer accepted! Thanks, man! Enjoy your country, it is an awesome one!
