I graduated last May as a Mechanical engineer. I spent a lot of time on this channel, and I’m beyond grateful for his contributions. I absolutely bought his statics book, and now I’m buying his other books as a thank you. To any starting engineering student - power on and good luck! You’re in the best time ever to learn!
You are the best teacher I've ever had in my entire educating life even though we've never met before face to face. Thank you for everything. God bless you !
Jeff really helped me with Statics and a bit for Mechanics of Materials. I took dynamics already, but forgot a lot of it. Taking Vibrations and Controls now, and would love to see the dynamics series as a review. Keep it up Jeff!
Hey Prof, I would recommend making a video introducing the books as your channel trailer instead of the channel intro you have now. Skip the usual animated intro with the guitar and your profile picture and try to grab attention to the books for people who are clicking on your channel. people look for your videos by topic so its unlikely this video will get enough attention as there isn't an associate topic. So making your channel trailer without the intro so its there immediately could be the best way to get new viewers to see it. Don't feel bad for monetizing the hard work you put into the books, you have helped so many people.
Hey Professor! Your videos helped me a lot in my early engineering days, I'm now a 4th year student and encouraging juniors I know check out your channel whenever they have a hard time learning statics. Subbed for 2 years now, hope your teachings will reach a far greater audience. You deserve it!
I bought your statics book in hopes that I can bring my grade up, strengths and materials is next semester. As an old crayon eater that decided to go back and finish my degree after over 20 years out of academia, I need all the help I can get.
You got me through statics last semester and you're helping me through materials this semester. Can't wait for dynamics. Thank you so much for all your help!
was literally doing mech homework tonight, got notified you had a video and bought bought the books immediately. You're a great teacher, I really hope there's a lot of overlap between what you cover and the class I'm taking!
Wooooo!!!! Just ordered the Mechanics of Material book and more Dynamics Videos Awesome!!! I need it. You have helped me in statics. Currently in mech of materials and Dynamics. Can’t wait !!! And thank you for all your help. I always refer students to your videos.
Excited to hear about the dynamics book! Taking the class now and could really use as many videos as possible. Bummed that the book wont be out before I'm done with the class though!!
I graduated in 2013 with a BSME. I did not end up with a career in Engineering, but I still watch your videos! Top notch! Does this make us honorary Red Raiders?
Greetings professor! I'm Nusret, I emailed you around 2 years back thanking you for your statics videos. I mentioned how famous your videos were in Turkey amongst mechanical engineering undergrads, and how your videos helped me not only pass but obtain AA grades on statics and more. I am happy to let you know that I graduated first of my class and am now pursuing a MSc of Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London! Thank you for providing people with such a fantastic opensource, helping us not only understand but actually enjoy mech eng!
thank you for making your videos free and not having them behind a huge paywall. As a student from a developing country, I and many others benefit tremendously from these videos. You are doing the lords work
What a great surprise! Thank you so much for this, I immediately thought that a book would be perfect when I finished the series ... Very high taxes and postage to send us to France though. Maybe I'll consider the digital version, although I'd rather touch the ‘material’... ^^ Thanks again for your passion! Also, the announcement of the book on dynamics is really exciting!
Dr. Hanson, I am an older student in an Industrial Engineering program that, while ABET-accredited, is much more about statistics, data science, and operations research than it is about applied physics (i.e. Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Thermodynamics). I still want the applied physics knowledge. I will be self-studying this material, and your channel looks like it will fit my needs nicely. Thank you very much! Mechanics of Materials here we come!
The man, The myth, The legend has spoken I graduated two years ago but now in grad school I find myself reviewing these topics you best believe Ill be buying the next two books. Thank you Dr.Hanson for all your hard work!!!
You are the best teacher I've ever had my education life We have never met, I'd studied all of my cultures with you I appreciate your efforts and thank you so much, Prof ❤
Love your work. Even though i completed dynamics a year ago, am still looking forward to your videos. Might pick up both books to accompany me once i graduate and do a refresher course when i am free😬 hopefully shipping isnt too expensive, since i live in asia😬. Thanks for everything, much love from the other side of the world❤️❤️
Hey Dr hanson i am taking thermo and in your playlist there are missing parts appreciate if you would upload them agian lesson 5 and 6 i think and also 11 , i need you for Fluid mechanics too thank you @@1234jhanson
Proffesor jeff. I really appreciate you doing all this and making it free to watch. I really hope you monetise these videos When possible could you please complete your thermo series May god bless you abudantly for all the work you doing
Already ordered! You reminded me why I picked engineering, and every time I prepare for a test I remember all of the times you told me and every single student that we were/ are capable. Thank you! (even though I'm really bad about office hours.... 😶😶😬😬)
I am an orthodontist and a biomechanics teacher. Not at your level by far. I learned so much from your channel and I have just bought the book. Thanks for everything. Anything on elastic deformation of small and large chain polymers for force application?
It's not on backorder - it's just shipped to the Amazon warehouse so that's the delay. Sorry, we got it out as fast as we could! (this reply is from McGraw Hill)
Thanks Dr. Hanson! These will help me a ton in my review for the FE! (If you're reading this comment as a current student, take the FE ASAP so you dont get rusty! 😁)
The How to Ace Mechanics of Materials book is still not available in the Amazon India yet, could you please let me know if you intend to list it on Amazon India too. I bought the Statics books from there. Thank you!
Very awesome to see you writing books on subjects I am about to take. I truly lucked out and might go the civil engineering sub plan environmental engineering Fall 2025 transfer student at Cal Poly Pomona. Thanks Professor!
what amazon do you normally order through? It seems Statics is available now in Amazon in Belgium and France for example. Mechanics of Materials probably in another month.
Price of this book with shipping it is the same what i earning per day. Despite it i will buy this product. Wihout mr. Hanson it would be much more difficult to pass static course and to understand mechanics of materials.
