I met Jeff in person a few days ago, inside a whole foods. At first I wasn't sure it was him, but I pointed at him and asked him "Jeff, right?" He said yes. I shook his hand, and told him I watch his videos. I wanted to tell him to keep fighting for righteousness and continue to preach the truth, but instead I walked off with a smile. I don't know why I didn't tell him what I wanted. Perhaps it was because I thought he might be in a hurry, or perhaps it was because I didn't want to make him feel weird, or perhaps it was because I had my little boy with me, who can be really rambunctious. I really don't know, but I wish I would had carried a longer conversation with him. His spirit is as gentle in person as it is in his youtube videos. May God bless him and his family, and continue to use him.
I love the gelled up 2000s youth pastor hairstyle with archaic templar knight beard combo. Lol. Really though. Its just the right combo of old with the new which I think also can be said about Pastor Jeff and his approach to the gospel. Really hard to find that in a church.
Everytime I listen to this Brother (which is all the time) I realize more and more how easy it can be to not truly appreciate him (maybe it’s the white noise of the world or sin). But, brothers and sisters i and convinced that this man is the greatest preacher of our generation. Lord thank you for Jeff.
Greatest preacher? Get off the man's you know what, he isn't right preaching Sola fide, because Sola Fide justification by faith alone isn't in the Bible. James 2:24 you see how a man is justified by his works, and not by faith ALONE.
@@iacoponefurio1915 Why does the bible say it is not the doers of the law but the hearers of the that will be justified/righteous before God then? Can you explain that?
Our FAITH in Christ Jesus thru the Grace of God is justified thru the "WORK OF FAITH" (Charity of Love) and not thru the "WORK OF LAW."... for "FAITH without WORK (Deeds/Acts) is a DEAD FAITH"... (James 2:14-26/paraphrased). Amen.
@agoogoomuck You do seem an ATHEIST who has a hard time understanding and comprehending what you had read... you asked me, "Whose Faith?... Although it was clearly written... "Our FAITH in Christ Jesus thru God's Grace."... then you claimed, "You're deceived."... may I ask a question to you... Deceived by WHOM and from WHAT?
He is preaching on salvation/conversion here, not the works & fruits of the Spirit that follow. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. - Ephesians 2:8-10
@@Mind_of_MATT You still did not understand the BIBLICAL TRUTH... It is a matter of "BEFORE and AFTER."... The Bible clearly narrated that "BEFORE" we can receive God's Gift of Faith in Christ thru God's grace, we DO NOT NEED the "WORK of the LAW" or our "OWN SELF-DOING" so that we can boast about it,... but "AFTER" you received your FAITH in Christ thru the Grace of God as a FREE GIFT... what then, what's next? All those who received their FAITH must/should do AFTER Believing, Accepting, Repenting, and thru the Water Baptism for the forgiveness of sin,... to DO the "Good WORK(Acts/Deeds) of FAITH" taught by Christ Jesus thru His Apostles and were now written in the Holy Scripture (Bible)... Christ said, "If you love me, follow and obey my commandments (Law of Christ)... Christ also said, "Only those who DOES (verb = acts/works/deeds) the WILL of my Father (God) is my Brother, Sister, and my Mother... and furthermore, they will enter the Kingdom (Paradise) in Heaven... So, do we need to do Good WORKS/ACTS/DEEDS based on Christ's Law?... Yes, we definitely MUST/SHOULD do... for FAITH without Good Work is "DEAD FAITH."... (James 2) Good Works/Acts/Deeds taught by the Law of Christ Jesus "JUSTIFIES" (give the right reason) our FAITH in Christ thru God's Grace... Amen. St. Paul said, "All RUNNERS (Christian believers) must/should RUN (do good Works/Deeds/Acts) to the FULLEST (with our best), and FINISH (complete) the RACE (our life's Journey till Death)... WHY?... for NO RUNNER (Christian) receive a PRIZE/REWARD (Salvation) at the STARTING LINE (upon receiving your Faith by Grace) or along the RACE TRACK (along our journey of Faith in Christ), but only those who REACHED (up to the end) the FINISH LINE... Amen. SALVATION (spiritual) is a PROCESS of EVENTS... and not a ONE-TIME EVENT only, so to speak... SALVATION is always spoken and written in the FUTURE TENSE, FUTURE PROGRESSIVE/CONTINUOUS TENSE, and FUTURE PERFECT TENSE... and not in the Simple Past Tense, or Past Progressive/Perfect tenses... The PROMISE of SALVATION was spoken in the PAST and also in the PRESENT by God's Prophets, Christ Jesus himself, and His Apostles... but the FULFILLMENT and REALIZATION of SALVATION (Eternal Life with God after Death) will always be in the FUTURE (God's Judgment Day)... Amen. So, what will you do AFTER you received your FAITH thru God's Grace?... Christians must/should DO GOOD WORKS (acts/deeds), not of/by their own doing, by based upon the Law of Christ with the Help and Guidance of the Holy Spirit, so that, less you shall boast from your own HUMAN EFFORTS... We do not need the I.Q. of Einstein and Tesla to understand and comprehend this Biblical Matter unless we have a very poor slow low I.Q., ... perhaps of a MORON?

Just one problem, he is not actually a pastor. You see. According to the Bible pastors are ordained by laying on of hands. Nobody who called him a pastor had authority to do that.
@iacoponefurio1915 How is what I am saying incorrect? How do you become a pastor in the Bible? Are pastors considered pastors because they bought a copy of the bible? In your brain, explain to me how one becomes a pastor.
This is a great reminder that this man doesn't know what he is talking about. "You see how a man is justified by his works and not by faith alone" It doesn't sound like James was a follower of Sola Fide😅
The introduction part of the sermon has me scratching my head... your desire is that people know and love and have assurance in the DOCTRINE of Justification by Faith... so Faith is what... believing this truth about Jesus? If you believe sound doctrine, you are saved?

Couldn’t we say that the only acts we can ever put action behind are inspired by God and all the rest (all the sining) are not acts but reactions? Without God, we are reactionary. And in that one way, those times we react to God, instead of the world, we are touched by His grace. The grace is always there for us all. And to be touched by His grace is to be inspired to act according to His will. All action comes from love and all love is His. We are each tuned in unique ways to express that love into this world but it’s all His. Faith begins with a reaction and from there it is deepened and inspired by God which we then put His action behind. No acts of our design can get us there because we have no action to put forth, only reaction. Our free will is not action based, it is reaction based. All our actions are inspired by God. All our reactions are motivated by self. People think love is a feeling. Love is not a feeling. Love is an action. All our feelings, good and bad, are us experiencing our bodies metabolizing human judgment. I disagree with Calvinism where it claims that to accept God’s grace is an act. I think when we react to God, instead of this world, and He flips the script on sin for His love and shows us, through Grace, where we have erred then with that inspiration we act according to His love. Our reactions look like actions in this world to many, but they are not actions according to God. They are reactions, not acts. Faith is not an action. It’s us reacting to God instead of this world. And to react to God is to be carried through the doorway of justification by Jesus himself.
Before cable and flatscreen televisions, you would get your TV channels locally. As you flipped through the channels it would alternate between news shows, old films and television shows (I Love Lucy was a common one), cooking shows, etc. Some channels would not be broadcasting anything, so the screen would be blank, or a fuzzy mixture of black and white, and it would emit a noise like a soft but angry crackling static. The TV itself, since it was a tube television, would also emit this nearly but not quite silent electrical sound. Just find an old tube television and turn it on, haha
Wow Virginia from Northern California is a long long way lol. Does he ever come or plan to come to CA. We need strong Christian leaders to at least visit CA and to try to help save our country. ALL bad and crazy idiots and ideas start right here in CA!!!!!
That was my thought. For a reformed church, you would think they would hold similar views to the reformers on the subject of catholicity. I hold to Sola Fide, but I, as well as did the likes of Martin Luther and John Calvin, reject the notion that those in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches are not saved.
@@mattmurdock2868 The Orthodox are the first churches on the planet 🌏. It's literally stupid to lob them in the same category as Mormons and witnesses.

James 2:26 - For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” The context of this verse is found in James 2:14-26. In these verses, James is rebuking those who claim to have faith in Christ but don’t show it by their good works. He says that faith without works is useless and that good works are necessary to prove the genuineness of our faith.
Well, actually that isn't what Saint James writes. He says "You see how a man is justified by his works and not by faith alone" James is not merely writing that works are showing ones faith to be true. He writes that he is showing his faith by his actions absolutely, but then he goes on to say that we are JUSTIFIED by OUR WORKS and not by faith alone. Meaning faith alone is not enough.
@@dman7668No. You have no idea what the bible says obviously. James is simply saying James has actual faith, which saves because he has responded with works of repentance obedience service and Faith. Faith itself is the driver of all the activity of one convinced about an unseen King who has never been seen in 2 thousand years. Obviously. But James is straightforward saying you who sit around doing nothing or living exactly the same way you would anyway and claim to have faith: you do not have and never had faith at all. No one who says they have faith and has never been converted and submitted under God's authority has never had faith. It's obvious you have never had faith he is talking about you. You goofy unfounded arrogance shows you are not under God's authority but still sins authority you are an ignorant blind self righteous self promoter. @@Western-Supremacistyou don't have a clue you try to understand it by your own generations culture that worships man's works and calls your evil works righteous. James and Paul are not in disagreement.
@@iacoponefurio1915 I don't think they are in disagreement... You're the second person now that is putting words in my mouth. How apt for what I suspect to be both Protestants! I'm here to clarify Protestant misinterpretation. And yet two Protestants cannot understand simple English. Very apt.
If anyone of you really want Truth you have to search for it, advice dont go to church, they have some of the truth, but half the truth is still a lie 💯📖 facts are that the Torah is part of the new covenant, look up Jeremiah 31:33 in the Hebrew, book of Hebrews quotes that very scripture, Messiah himself said heaven and earth would pass before anything perished from the Torah Mathew 5:17-20, Messiah kept the Torah perfectly and said follow Me i have laid before you the perfect example, sadly people want to take away from the Father's perfect Torah, dont fall for it, NO ONE has the authority to do so , not even the Son that's why he said I do nothing of myself, of course we don't keep the Torah to earn salvation, it is the Father's instructions and will for our lives, we can only be justified through the Blood of Messiah Yeshua , but do we continue in sin that grace may abound GOD FORBID Romans 6:1-2, do we make void the Torah through faith GOD FORBID we ESTABLISH the Torah Romans 3:31, the whole point of the Torah is to point out sin, if you get rid of it we no longer are aware of these sins the Torah points out, may YAH bless you all 🙏💯♥️☝️📖
James 2 21, Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22, You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected Abraham's faith was perfected on the basis of his works. Works came first, and not faith. I trust that you will deal with this in next week's session.
@@vaulteddome the context of James 2:14-26 is not when a person is saved/justified, it is what kind of faith is it that justifies? James 2:14 ““What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can *that* faith save him?” Romans 4’s discussion of justification is much more relevant however; “we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness. How then was it counted to him? Was it *before or after* he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised.” Romans 4:9a-10 So what was counted to Abraham as righteousness? Faith When was it counted to him? *Before* any circumcision! The context of James 2 makes it clear that the justification he speaks of is the justification of one’s profession of faith.
@@joeh8130 That's an odd intepretation of justification. So if a believer fails to 'justify his profession of faith', is he saved in your opinion? James is clear that he is talking of justification in the ususal sense of salvation, and that Abraham's faith was perfected in works. How do you explain the apparent contradiction between James and Paul?
@@vaulteddome I resolve the apparent contradiction as I outlined above: Paul and James are answering two different questions. Paul addresses the basis upon which a law breaker is credited as righteous, James addresses what is the nature of that faith which justifies. According to Paul the justified person is the one with faith, James assumes this in addressing which kind of faith saves, a mere professed one with no evidence? or one that is demonstrated by works? Again James 2:14 is the frame for the whole discussion: “Can *that* faith save him?” How do you resolve the apparent contradiction?
Justification by faith alone friends? Romans 2:13 "for it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but the👉 doers of the Law who will be justified." I thought we are justified by faith alone. Yet the bible does not say this in Romans, it specifically says those that DO and not just hear will be justified before God. Note: it does not say anything about faith justifying us alone and then producing good works or some nonsense like that.
A man is justified by faith apart from the law The just shall live by Faith There's like a hundred more fake hypocrite cult leader atheist who depends on your evil works to justify you 😅😅😅😅😅duhhhh
Which means that you aren't righteous by just hearing the Law, you must obey it all perfectly in every way in order to be declared righteous by God which we know that all have sinned & there is none righteous except Jesus Christ who obeyed all the Law perfectly. No one is justified by being a doer of the Law because all of us have transgressed against God by our own rebellion & breaking the Law. Don't forget Romans 3:28 "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law."
No you are self righteous and self reliant because you reject God's sacrifice and Grace. We ARE justified by Faith. You are not accepted by God you call your evil deeds righteous and make a mockery of God's authority and provisions.
@@dman7668 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10. But that doesn't contradict what precedes it: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” - Ephesians 2:8-9. Nor does Paul & James contradict each other. Saved unto good works not saved by works.

Greatest preacher? Get off the man's you know what, he isn't right preaching Sola fide, because Sola Fide justification by faith alone isn't in the Bible.
James 2:24 you see how a man is justified by his works, and not by faith ALONE.

Such a powerful sermon. God bless you Pastor Jeff, you are a true inspiration
AMEN brother. Well said Jeff.🙏👍
Thank you pastor for the inspiring message.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
not of works, so that no one may boast.
(James 2)
Good Works/Acts/Deeds taught by the Law of Christ Jesus "JUSTIFIES" (give the right reason) our FAITH in Christ thru God's Grace... Amen.

Great message, we all need to understand it this is were our salvation stands on.... one of my favorite versus

James 2:26 - For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
The context of this verse is found in James 2:14-26. In these verses, James is rebuking those who claim to have faith in Christ but don’t show it by their good works. He says that faith without works is useless and that good works are necessary to prove the genuineness of our faith.
Well, actually that isn't what Saint James writes. He says
"You see how a man is justified by his works and not by faith alone"
James is not merely writing that works are showing ones faith to be true. He writes that he is showing his faith by his actions absolutely, but then he goes on to say that we are JUSTIFIED by OUR WORKS and not by faith alone. Meaning faith alone is not enough.

If anyone of you really want Truth you have to search for it, advice dont go to church, they have some of the truth, but half the truth is still a lie 💯📖 facts are that the Torah is part of the new covenant, look up Jeremiah 31:33 in the Hebrew, book of Hebrews quotes that very scripture, Messiah himself said heaven and earth would pass before anything perished from the Torah Mathew 5:17-20, Messiah kept the Torah perfectly and said follow Me i have laid before you the perfect example, sadly people want to take away from the Father's perfect Torah, dont fall for it, NO ONE has the authority to do so , not even the Son that's why he said I do nothing of myself, of course we don't keep the Torah to earn salvation, it is the Father's instructions and will for our lives, we can only be justified through the Blood of Messiah Yeshua , but do we continue in sin that grace may abound GOD FORBID Romans 6:1-2, do we make void the Torah through faith GOD FORBID we ESTABLISH the Torah Romans 3:31, the whole point of the Torah is to point out sin, if you get rid of it we no longer are aware of these sins the Torah points out, may YAH bless you all 🙏💯♥️☝️📖
James 2
21, Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
22, You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected
Abraham's faith was perfected on the basis of his works. Works came first, and not faith. I trust that you will deal with this in next week's session.
Can you tell me which text addresses the question of *when* Abraham was justified? Romans 4 or James 2?
@@joeh8130 James 2 already addresses your question. Abraham was justified *when* he demonstrated works, and this perfected his faith.
@@vaulteddome the context of James 2:14-26 is not when a person is saved/justified, it is what kind of faith is it that justifies? James 2:14 ““What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can *that* faith save him?”
Romans 4’s discussion of justification is much more relevant however;
“we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness. How then was it counted to him? Was it *before or after* he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised.” Romans 4:9a-10
So what was counted to Abraham as righteousness? Faith
When was it counted to him?
Again James 2:14 is the frame for the whole discussion: “Can *that* faith save him?”
How do you resolve the apparent contradiction?

"for it is not the hearers of the
Law who are righteous before God, but the👉 doers of the Law who will be justified."
