The question regarding the production Sci-Fi's lacking the same bottom contours, as described and visible in Tomo's video on the board's description page, has come up a lot since it's release. Has anyone found a response as to why the board was "de-tuned" ?

Love the feel of epoxy (stringerless with a carbon stiffener only) and the bugger flies, but even the tiniest hairline crack, barely noticeable, the things rot terribly if you miss one. Mate missed a tiny nose crack and water went around the whole carbon deck stringer and completely destroyed his $999 RRP board.

Really wish the production line of sci-fi's had the same bottom as the sci-fi Daniel explains in his advertisement for the Sci-fi (quad concave inside a single concave). Although the production line design is great I was disappointed to not the have quad concave design. Sort of false advertisement.

the stock off the rack FW SciFi has the Tomo quad inside single concave.... and it rips... I love both my SciFi and SKX and the Cymatic (that I've ridden but don't own) --4est

Good to see an attempt at making complexities comprehensible for non-scientists, but the captioning was terrible, words were mangled and created confusion.
