At Best Buy here in USA only teal and blue were GG. Black was TT. I got a grey GT from target and it sounds better to me than the GG. It’s also 10g heavier than GG. The funny thing is the Teal GG I got came with the latest firmware, but the GT came with 5.3.3 I think. GG Made in China and GT in Vietnam.
@@true_artem GT is practically the GG but with better bass response and slightly louder than the GG. That's why people say that "GG is better" is because of the bass response and best overalls. While the TL (or TT) are louder and produce more low bass compared to the GG (or GT) they do lack that *Thump* on the bass on some songs, like this one in the video. So it really depends on what you get when purchasing one to be really honest 😕
@AlexXDIpX7 ok, i do agree. I rechange my statement after 6 more months of testing. TL and TT have slightly lowers bass responses but they do lack a lot of upper and mid bass overall and have some degree of distortion, making it sound weaker than GT and GG.
This explains everything i recently got a flip 6 purposely for party boost since i already had filp 5 but dint know about the modles. so i unknowingly bought a tl model now my flip 5 is gg which i also dint know about but it sounded way better than the flip 6. IMO, GG and TL at the start of their serial numbers means they are manufactured by different production centers on the same spec provided by JBL. So, by chance, TL was "tested" by a YTuber claiming better than a GG Flip 5. As for Flip 6, this YTuber prefers the sound of GG serial number better. It could be just variation of a small samples from this review, and can be subjective. Even if you have in your hands a GG and a TL Flip 6, your comparison may be subjective to your own listening in a somewhat the same acoustic room (but not quite a scientific setup). That said, for a portable speaker of this price range, the sample variation is bound to happen. As for me, I just got a Flip 6 for my BDay, had no idea what GG and TL, until I watched some YT video and found mine a GG serial variant! 🙂
You all know their is equalizer setting in the JBL app right it really doesn't matter adjust to your liking... in general it's basically the same. Flip 6 is a flip6....

I am from Peru and I have the flip 6 gg from China in green and if the grid has a medium reddish appearance between olive green and reddish, in the light the mesh can be seen better It has red and green interweaving and it sounds very good. In fact, after 15 days I bought the charge 5, the tt version from Vietnam, and comparing them in sound, the charge 5 obviously feels bigger in sound but how good bass is felt in the jbl flip 6 at times they sound almost as powerful as the charge 5

Guys I got a GG and TL myself. The GG sounds way better. The bass is more lower and more defined. the high frequencies extend higher and smoother. This is very important for audiophiles because the TL has a wild cutoff in its highs. The average Joe wont be able to discern though

TL for better quality build 👍 it has plastic cone fully water prof and durability . Gg little bit bass and little mid, but outdoor u cannot hear it. Is important to tl deep bass is pleasant ,upperbass you can hear it and mid high, people saying the TL so Loud Volume than GG. For me TL more improved👍💪 and importane speaker is Plastic Cone. .

I have the CS and the TL, they both have a plastic coated cone, underneath it's paper but water won't reach under that ^^ The GG however is paper and isn't coated that much so you still see the paper.

@@judesantos4188 interesting conclusion. Before you answered my question, I had two GTs, one GG and a TL speakers in my hands in a short amount of time. According to my feelings, TL has almost no upper frequencies but great upper mids (vocal frequences). In stereo TL and GG together feel a little more powerful than a pair of GTs (due to louder mids). GG and GT have a lot of bass, no mid highs, but high highs. It so happened that I left a pair of GT for stereo for listening at a low volume. Sound V-like, the higts is very clean. But which speaker is better GG or GT did not have time to understand until the end, there was little time)
@true_artem the earlier gg models sound the best, but the newer ones don't sound as good as the earlier ones. The best sounding one started with GG and the second pair of letters with IL. If the second pair of letters started with anything else than IL, then it is not as good sounding. I recommend getting a GT for now because it is better than the newer form of the GG model, and the older form, GG-IL has mostly likely been sold out and more hard to find since it is the oldest form of GG. If you find one that starts with GG and the second pair of letters starts with IL, then get it over the GT. Hope this helps.

Look at Flip5 i think its same and cs are best in waterproof and not rips like tl models (no paper driver speaker)

@@judesantos4188 interesting conclusion. Before you answered my question, I had two GTs, one GG and a TL speakers in my hands in a short amount of time. According to my feelings, TL has almost no upper frequencies but great upper mids (vocal frequences). In stereo TL and GG together feel a little more powerful than a pair of GTs (due to louder mids). GG and GT have a lot of bass, no mid highs, but high highs. It so happened that I left a pair of GT for stereo for listening at a low volume. Sound V-like, the higts is very clean. But which speaker is better GG or GT did not have time to understand until the end, there was little time)
@true_artem the earlier gg models sound the best, but the newer ones don't sound as good as the earlier ones. The best sounding one started with GG and the second pair of letters with IL. If the second pair of letters started with anything else than IL, then it is not as good sounding. I recommend getting a GT for now because it is better than the newer form of the GG model, and the older form, GG-IL has mostly likely been sold out and more hard to find since it is the oldest form of GG. If you find one that starts with GG and the second pair of letters starts with IL, then get it over the GT. Hope this helps.

You can’t, gotta buy it in store to know what version you get by looking at the first two letters on the serial number under the box.
