🙋🏾‍♀️Naturally thin person here who has had two kids. Even after having children I struggle to keep weight on. The most I ever weighed in my life was 135 and that was with carrying a child. Being naturally thin we have to be intentional about gaining weight. Thank you for sharing your journey ❤

Congratulations to you sis! I am actually in the my process of lossing weight since December. Im 5'5 too and I started at 174. I have lots of muscle but I added alot fat and loss muscle mass from stress eating/being lazy after my daddy passed. 10 pounds down. I highly recommend getting a Bodpod test. They Show how much body fat and muscle you are Percentage-wise. Im happy for you, keep it up💜

It's so wonderful watching someone take steps to gain weight. I've never been in that classroom 😂

I had the same problem as you when I joined the army. I was 110. I was very thin. They put me on double rations (of food). I gained so much muscle. I was able to maintain it by eating more things like like chicken breast, omlets, oats, sweet potatoes (used to do fish), grains and vegetables. The thing that helped most was eating ALOT more meat. Protein keeps you full and satisfied. Meal preparation helps alot too for gaining weight/bulking. Gives you more time to focus on gym. I currently am shooting for 62-140g of protein daily. To be honest, many days without a protein shake, I fall short of this which is what I need to build muscle. Still try getting most of your protein intake from real food. I don't always want to drink the shakes but the way I see it, strength training and lifting weights doesn't show in my muscle mass without it. I been getting bodpods done for years so it's down to a science for me on what works and what doesn't as much as I dislike the shakes sometimes lol. The muscle is what gives the curves.

Not me liking the video before it starts.🤣 But for real, I've been small all my life and I am also on a weight gain journey. I hate when people tell me, "You need to eat more! Go get you some burgers!" But Im like yo Im not trying to gain weight from eating just anything. My happy weight is always 110-111. Honestly though when I stop stressing so much about my weight and just continue to workout and eat well, and I mean "well" as in more & healthy food, then that weight will come faster, I've learned. Sorry for the novel. Always enjoy your videos 💞

      Omgg thank youu! ❤
And you’re good love, you can write how much you like!
But Girl I feel your pain! I’m like I am eating! And I’ve eaten very unhealthy in the past and it did me no good, the weight went where I didn’t want it to go. I can definitely say that I feel way better since I’m eating healthier.
I agree with you, when I don’t worry about it, I know more weight will come!

i love this because im the same height and similar build . i was 100 lbs in 2023 amd ended the year at 115. my goal is to maintain & slowly gain during the year to be 130. i definitely have to be consistent & show up and workout even when i want to. I like the reward system too! I have to try that out 💕thanks so much for the inspo and good luck on your journey

This was me in my 20s. Body dismorphia was and still is one of my greatest opponents. I was in the 120s at 5'7 and all I wanted was to get to 130 lbs. It didn't happen 😕. But weight gain comes with age and babies so I got up to 140 in my 30s. I started lifting heavy to do a body recomp and it worked out well. It's good that you're going about the weight gain the right way and that's by building muscle as opposed fat gain. That'll take you a long way as you get older. Way to go 🎉!

I felt this intro! Congratulations on the gains so far! I started working out and gaining weight in 2019. I was at 114 lbs when I started. By 2020 I made it to my weight goal which was 140. I’m 5”5. And I don’t eat gluten so I’m restricted from each some things .But things were shut down so it was easy to maintain. I’ve slowly yo yo’d my weight since then. I’ve still been consistently working out but it’s a challenge to eat in surplus when burning more calories from working out. Getting back to 140 and maintaining is still one of my goals for the year. I’ll be cheering you on! I haven’t posted a video recently but I do post on my fitness IG and it’s fitness specific so it’s a dose of motivation when I scroll on that page.

Hey girl! I am a gym girly! I just wanted to also encourage you to document how much weight you're moving every gym session so if you lift 60 lb on a leg press write that down so that next week when you hit the leg press you can try to hit 70 lb increasing your weight is a great way to see gains

Heyyy! Thanks so much for your feedback! I’ve been documenting my weight, reps and sets for sure, but starting out for some reason I would barely Increase weight the next time. I think it was like a mind over matter thing.
But as of recently, I’ve definitely been pushing myself to reach those higher weights! ❤ now just patiently waiting for the results 😁

    • @ralishaoliver3610
      @ralishaoliver3610 5 месяцев назад

@KekeJ yes ma'am. Push that weight. You CAN do it. You ARE strong. Progressive overload is great for gains. Keep in mind that you can increase your reps if need be until you're ready to increase weight. A good rule of thumb is if you can do more than 15 reps, it's time to increase your weight. Keep at it.

Thanks for this video! I too have always been slim currently 118lbs at 5'4". However, I have high cholesterol even with a healthy diet. I literally have to eliminate most animal fat, whole eggs, all dairy, and other sources of cholesterol. It can make weight gain/muscle building a challenge when having to use a mainly plant based diet. Would be interested to see where your sources of protein are coming from.

I’m finally being brave enough to get control of my mental health, a big part of that is your physical health. I promise it gets better yall, the only person allowed to make changes in your life, is you. Believe and trust in yourself, we got this!🩷

You can have the 25 I gained back after starting grad school😭 I got down to 155, from being around 180-185 most of my adult life, during my last year of my undergrad. Stayed there during the year I took off from school after I graduated. Then grad school said.. "you really thought you were good huh?" This is my last semester and I'm trying to be back at 155 by the time I graduate

If you’re open to reading any fitness/health literature I'd recommend the book "Outlive" by Dr. Peter Attia. It really expands your mind in terms of the importance of exercise, sleep and mental well-being. Looking forward to supporting you on your journey❤.

Keke….lookn at your body frame you’re petite and got height like Whitney Houston. Lean muscle mass will be very good for you not bulky; your butt/thigh/leg area you can get a Brazilian Butt dvd 📀 for building lower extremities and provides sculpture. Overall good job 👏🏾 👏🏾. I damn sho wish I was your size frfr., eat with no worries 😉
