Rivers Cuomo is already one of my favorite people in the entire Multiverse, and from the moment I first heard AJR on the radio I knew they were so special I had to run out and also buy a physical copy of their album--which is so much rarer for me these days since I consume most of my music on Spotify and RUclips now. So to have these incredible artists get together and collaborate, and to also see and learn how and why they have so much respect for each other? ...This is it. Right here. All the Yes. All the tears and the fears and uncertainty, and the deep, soft sorrow of that endless background hum, ever-reminding me of inevitable impermanence...that can wait for another day. This is the stuff that makes it all worth it. 💚

Can confirm, I got into AJR because Weezer is my favorite band and I only listened to Sober Up because Rivers was on it. Fell in love with AJR after that.
He’s fantastic, some of his interviews feel like you’re sitting in on a therapy session while he picks their brain!! Would definitely recommend listening to some of his longer interviews (especially the ajr ones!!)
He's a brilliant interviewer, check out his Conan Gray interviews they're the best artist/interviewer relationship I've seen outside of Tyler The Creator and Nardwuar

As someone who really only listens to alternative rock and alternative rock radio, hearing them talk about it is... humorous? I don’t know, I guess I just don’t know any other way aside from the weird world that is alternative rock
I have the same problem innasomuch I never really think of it as alternative? I guess it to me, it's just normal until I take the time to hear from my friends who don't always share the same music taste how wildly different it is to them. So, I definitely thought it was cool they touched on that.
