My mom has a shrine to manny Pacquiao in her house but she never told me how many pinoys are competitive shooters. I always thought we just had boxing, billiards and chicken fighting lol
That is an awesome good video, I improved my draw after I saw that by the late Ron Avery, he also said, let the hand meet earlier...thank you..😊😊😊😊...also D. R. Middlebrooks teaches that to meet early also Mike Seeklander and it also works in close space and for self defence...
So many little things up front that make huge differences in efficiency and speed. Just realizing stance and hand placement at "make ready" can make s HUGE difference! You bet I'll be working on that this week! Thanks guys!
Yoooooo, I was just looking for a video like this, I was specifically look for one from you! Love it! I had lots of Alphas on my first CO match but apparently time is more important.
Welcome to competition shooting! It’s addictive! I will correct you though, time isn’t really more important than alphas, they work together. In CO, minor scoring means alphas are really important. Of course I understand that as a new competitor you are probably getting destroyed on time, but most of that is not how fast you pull the trigger. First look at things like footwork, body positioning, stage planning, transitions, and gun handling. Those will all help you get faster without compromising your points!
Great content .. however this skipped over what the support hand is doing, placement pressure etc. did a lot for the firing hand but. Nothing on support hand. I’d be interested in that to complete this instructional
Looks like the CZ 75 Tac Sport (maybe it's a shadow actually). I tested that gun a while back and always regretted not buying it. CZ Should have continued production for us lowly Californians ;) cause with our roster we just lost one and gained none. Very nice detailed tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you for the excellent video Instruction. You mentioned parts that can help with the trigger. I have a small hand. What type of parts would you recommend for proper finger placement on the trigger?
I think there may be a difference between defense and competition as to where the hands marry up. For defense, I may want them to marry up at the chest because I can shoot there before extending out or go to a high sul hold when clear the situation changed to no shoot. So for defense I think up & out may still be valid for tactical reasons. For competition you’re right on point. Just my opinion.
I've heard of relaxing your gun hand and clamping your support hand, keeping your support hand low on the holster hemisphere of your body so it can meet the gun quicker. I still protect my neck during the draw, and have 200+lbs of grip strength per hand. Have the grip strength of a medium sized dog bite before you enter competition, and don't hard-wire a weird "bowling ball" style of draw, and leave your neck and head wide open. Compete the way you fight. If you are beaten by a step-counting reloader, so be it. Be a real pistolero, don't treat pistolcraft like a video game.
when you pull the trigger and it shoots, and then you release your finger. does your finger only release far enough for the reset? or does your finger come off the trigger?
What you missed is the people who have shot for years and they don't know they have reactive interference or what I call a hot stove effect. As they PRESS the trigger their minds react to the explosion and they release their grip as they take their finger from the trigger. It's also a problem for people at public ranges and their minds are on one single shot instead of working their minds to multiple shots. It's sad and a bit humorous when you see supposed instructors flap their support fingers outward. And they will do it with every single shot.
It’s nuts I can get world class instructions for free. What a time to be alive! He’s such a good communicator.
Like always a great video but what impresses me more is the offer in supporting others that have lost everything

Same I discovered FMA on my own.

You know most of what you have brought up, I just do. But didn't really know I was. Thanks! Love this channel! Always great content!

Awesome stuff..some new tips I will definitely be trying out. 👍
Great video and great advice. I'll keep practicing until it gets automatic.
I feel like the jump from M to GM is more about the ability to move yourself physically than it is about accuracy or the draw.
Wonderful tips. Thank you 😊
Great to see a Lefty, you're in your right mind! Thanks

Would love to see this same video with a stock Glock or an m&p or any average pistol! Trigger pull is way different!
Excellent! Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this information.
Thanks Jon. Need all the info you can give.
Awesome and informative information. Can’t wait to try these techniques with my EDC XTEN with Norma spec range and carry ammunition.
Excellent content. Please cover your support hand too. Thanks.

Jon Bautista was definitely a public service announcer or science teacher in his past life.
Excelent
Did y'all forget to discuss the support hand or did I miss it somehow? :)

Cheers to us Lefthanded shooters.
Great content! Plus one for Yt algorithm
First, thanks for the vids
I can shoot as fast as a grandmaster...I just can't hit as accurately as one lol
What kind of mag pouches?
Unkel jon!
❤
Thank you Grandmaster
We want a video about shooting fast for assault rifles. Also teach us how some people can throw rocks and shoot them while they fly with Ak47
I think the hoodie gives him speed.
With ammo and gas prices I shoot and drive slow, lol.

Grandmaster shooter, eh? Who bestows this title?
The USPSA.
I'm assuming the USPSA classification process.
