The Fashion Flynet! LOLOL!!! And WOW...those solar lights in the field - fantastic!!! Great visit in Australia... wanted to get a feel of how the Aboriginal ladies felt about meeting African American ladies there. Their history is so powerful, and with such tie ins to our own. Looking forward to Bali!

lol! I was not playing with those flies, they were EVERYWHERE from dawn to dusk. When we were visiting the solar lights, a guy said to me "I think you would enjoy your experience more if you took your mask off." My response was "I'm enjoying it more because I have it on!" :-D I wish we could have interacted with the Aboriginal people more! I agree 100% that the similarities and ties to the African American experience are incredibly strong. We did get to see a cultural performance but were asked to not film, so wanted to respect that. Hoping to get started on editing Bali soon, lots of footage there.

Uluru is AMAZING! I had the opportunity to visit and walk the base as well(some in my group chose to be disrespectful and climb 😤😡). Its breathtaking outside there. And yes Roo does taste like steak/bison. 🙃😜

Oh did have the opportunity to interact with any of the aboriginal people? I did. And they were truly amazing and beautiful people. Everyone I met called me "sistah" 😍. We had some great convos about what it means to be black. It was such a blessing to meet people so in tune and in love with their blackness.

So happy that we had the chance to visit. I first learned about it when Oprah did her Australia special there in 2010. After that, visiting the continent was a must-do for me. We didn't get to interact with the aboriginal people as much as I would have wanted, but we did get to see a performance and meet some of the artisans as well.
