I agree that competency-based learning is the way to go for the American Academy, which offers college credits towards a four-year degree. One can definitively start off with a bang by offering 45 college credits in the general education category, which is about 40 to 45 college credits typically. I also agree that it would be great to have this training done online so that most Americans can participate in objectively working towards their four-year college degree for free in the four-year general college education category. One could also do the same exact thing with the college electives. About forty-five college elective credits of typically offered expected four-year degree programs have also been offered for free. This would effectively cut at least two-thirds of one's typical four-year college expense costs and make that potentially very low cost or even free for most American four-year college students and save most Americans at least on average about 80 college credits that typically cost easily at least $625 per college credit and at least $50,000 on average for taking eighty college credits in just the general college education category and general college electives category.
Thank you Ryan for the video. "Amercian Academy" for Americans ! Not sure if he means only for US citizens and green card holder or International students as well..
I want to be excited about this, and I kind of am. I'm just skeptical. I don't see how this could work. That said, if he pulls it off, I'm there! I'd love to attend and learn anything I can! I would take full advantage of all the opportunities a free education like that could give me.
"Trump" and "University" are two words that don't get along. In May 2010, the consumer protection division of the state of Texas got permission from the office of the Attorney General of Texas to sue Trump University. An investigation by the consumer protection division had found the company was "engaging in false, misleading and deceptive practices" and had defrauded Texas taxpayers out of $2.6 million. The office of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced in September 2013 that it had filed a lawsuit against Trump University. On August 24, 2013, the State of New York filed a $40 million civil suit against Trump University alleging illegal business practices and false claims made by the company. On October 18, 2013, Art Cohen, a California businessman, member of the Republican Party, filed a civil suit, Art Cohen v. Donald J. Trump, in the U.S. District Court for Southern California, as a class action on behalf of consumers throughout the United States who purchased services known as "Live Events" from Trump University after January 1, 2007. It alleged violations of the RICO statute, essentially a scheme to defraud.
And, I'd like to see an unbiased take on the court findings. Everything is against trump. Sometimes you have bad people running organizations and you aren't aware until you get sued.
Finally an idea that will empower the 'hacking the university' competency based low-cost, cost-minimizing, vocationally-focused, time-optimizing, politics-free educational alternative, available for free because web-based higher education is now effectively a zero marginal cost good :)
College tution is a joke in USA. People get educated for 10% (or less) of the price in cheapest US univ and come here to work. How is this fair for US kids?
This would be great, if adjunct with companies that hire the graduates. Instead of student loans, maybe pay companies to hire the graduates. We dont need 5 graduates fighting over 1 position available every 10 years.
Why can’t two year community colleges programs be free and help them support more online options. By the way tons of politicians have offered up free two year programs for free including Biden. Wonder why they never made it through Congress?
I'm sorry, if folks are going to teach ancient history or American history, we're going to touch on things that Mr. Trump would rather not have people learn. This all sounds great in theory, but it sounds like he stated that Mexico is going to pay for the wall to be built. Let's see how this goes!

I agree with his stance and hope he can pull it off. It will be interesting to see this rollout.
😂😂😂😂😂
It’ll be as successful as the last time.
What else do you expect?
@ocularpatdown it's the first time if you actually watched the video. Now go cry me some liberal tears 😂😂😂
Had never even heard of this proposal before. Very very interesting, thanks for sharing!
You can just look it up he posted the vid of him talking last year

It looks like it will only be free to US citizens.

Yes, but this would be accredited.
@@GusBrunson but seriously Trump could rescue a drowning child from the ocean and Democrats would accuse him of starving the sharks.

This is a Cool idea!!
Something like UMPI, would be Great!!!!
That would be cool!

Yeah WGU has done this very well for years
Sounds awesome!
😂😂😂😂
Reminds me somewhat of University of the People.
They're not cheap.
What other better options do I have
I imagine this will be like a public version of WGU (Western Governors University) which would be the best way to do it
That would be cool. It doesn't look like that will be the format, but that would be awesome.

Agreed.
Only for american. Suggest for indian

All he has to do is make public colleges free.
Why can’t two year community colleges programs be free and help them support more online options. By the way tons of politicians have offered up free two year programs for free including Biden. Wonder why they never made it through Congress?
I’m sure he can tap all those professors from Trump university to be teachers.

Seriously. Smh
Trump University 2.0 😂😂😂😂
