I was diagnosed when I was 2 years old, and hadn't learned to walk or talk until 3. I've lived pretty happy with my diagnosis for 19 years, even though it has it's ups and downs! Was never really social as a kid, I'm still not exactly the best at socializing though I have made some autistic friends, I did and still do have quite a few stimming behaviors, and I can't tolerate loud noises. On the flip side, I know a lot about video games, books and movies and have a unique perspective on the world. I've had rough patches, but I wouldn't trade my autism for anything.
You seem very normal to me, you are just a person who loves to be left alone sometimes. What's the wrong with that? In my country there is an independent state (it's not considered as a part of the country, it has its own laws) with people who enjoy being lonely, some of them go as far as to live inside sealed caves without any contact with others.
I also saw his recommendation and approach Dr Oyalo for the herbs on RUclips. The herbs has so far work positive on my child’s eye contacts and speech improvement. My child social skill is good now and response to name has improved too
When we gained true sentience, we became more brains than bodies. It's terrible that you can outlive your brain. A brain in a jar is more human that a body without a brain. I'm autistic and therapy didn't help they tried to hide my intelligence from me because they thought me knowing a lot of things quickly was bad, and my older sister asked,"isn't that good?" And they kicked her out of the room. My sister and my family are the real reason why I'm out of special ed and I'm in regular classes when I entered in 10th grade. 2020: And I'm headed to a good college. 2022: Did more research and autistic are actually the most creative, even though less social, we tend to be around we can relate to, no matter race or gender, I know cuz I went through it. I'm at a University atm and I'm happy with what I'm doing and who I'm hanging with.
Please help me dear . My son is 15 months old and he is showing strong sighns of autism he likes to watch TV and mobile rhymes every time . I have no money to pay for the therapies please tell me how can I help my son at home?
Zia Khan Khan First thing, stop letting your kid watch TV or whatever electronic media. Secondly, please look for a book called Early Denver Start Model by Sally Rogers and practice what’s in the book. Parents will have to be very involved with toddlers at risk to try to achieve the best outcome. We are fellow strugglers here, good luck!
I have autism. I'm really glad that I have a great friend of fifteen years that helped me in so many ways. Got me talking more. I hardly spoke to people. Because of him, I've learned how to control my anxiety so I can talk to people. Supporters of autism don't know how much they're appreciated.

I remember, my parents told me I was autistic when I was nine. Until then I was screaming and self harming wondering what the hell was wrong with me. Then I was abused by a friend and it made me start getting really angry at home. And I couldn’t really process it in the moment, so I started lashing out. I guess I’m lucky in a way to have found out so early, my dad was diagnosed at 42. I’m fifteen now and the abuse still ruins my day to day functioning, and how I handle noise and stress. I almost died from a suicide attempt in 2018 and went to a psychiatric hospital. I also have ADHD, a possible personality disorder, complex PTSD, clinical depression and some other stuff. I’m on a lot of medication but I hope things start to get better. I believe everybody has their own unique way of coping. For me it’s poetry , art (and maths if I’m in the mood) I encourage you all, whether you are autistic or not...to find your coping strategy. Mine are the reason I’m not dead today, I believe. I’ve started to open up to people around me which helps too. Yes, I’ll always be autistic but I’m starting to change my views and see that as a good thing..after all if I wasn’t autistic I wouldn’t really be me. Sorry for this random story aha but I hope it inspires some of you :)
My dear brother may God bless you.You are very special . Even I have a very special son who is autistic, dyslexic, and with severe ADHD.I succeeded in diagnosing his at the age of three and still supporting him every second of my life
My son was diagnosed autism spectrum at the age of four but I had already started therapy one year back even before diagnosis. Now he is verbal, responding, interacting, sending to normal school.I am giving him average one and a half hour institution therapy and additional two to three hour home therapy. If your son is slightly verbal there is Hope to make him verbal through repeated speech therapy sessions.Kindly find some time to speak to him .keep on talking to him .He understand everything. You instruct him to do all household work.Dont show any consideration.treat him like normal kid. Give training for all daily activities. You can refer RUclips for home training sessions.Definitely you can stimulate him to speak .My son is an example .One year back we were asked to send him to special school. But now he is eligible for normal education .He started communicating and interacting. With God's grace he is improving and still looking forward to make him normal. It depends how much time and effort parents put for the kid.Hope you r getting inspiration.Early intervention easy recovery
I'm also on the autistic spectrum, and it's been a very hard battle for me, but I live on my own, drive a beautiful car, have a good job, and have a wonderful set of friends at 31. :)
Our son has autism and we still dont really understand what it is,what we do know is that our son is the most caring loving child ever and hes super intelligent, far intelligent than his parents
I was diagnosed on the mild side when I was younger. 12 years of therapy, and lots of moments where God showed me and my family mercy later, I'm doing a lot better. Although it is still a part of me (currently at high functioning), I am grateful about it. It's another part of me.
My lil brother has autism. I love him very much it hurts me when he trys to hurt himself. God bless all the other children who have autism. You Are loved.
My son isn't diagnosed yet but it's been scary for me because I want him to live a healthy happy life. The what ifs run through my mind and I feel helpless. Then I get home from work and this kid has a way to make me forget. He's about to be 2 in July and I can honestly say he is everything and more than what I dreamed. Knowing that he might be autistic definitely makes me wasn't to be involved even more than I already am with my sons progress. Reading everyone's comments here I can sence a culture of love with people who have autism or loved ones that have it. I wsnt to thank you all for making my fears go away. I have to be strong I have to be his rock,I have to be the best father I can possibly be. Love you all for all your stories and words of encouragement.
My son Aiden was diagnosed with autism in August. Initially I didn’t know what to think and I still struggle with it. But Im going to do whatever I can to help him. We’ve been fortunate to start early intervention with speech. Everyday is different some good some bad. He future is bright 🙂 I recently decided to start a channel and vlog about our experiences.
That sounds great, also, a little bit piece of advice from a guy who has Autism, if your son is sensitive to sound, then you need to do your best to make him feel a little comfortable so in the future, he knows how to tackle these sounds. And if your son has a special interest, then my best advice would be to encourage it.
@@HenryLouis21 Thank you so much for your advice. I greatly appreciate the input and will strongly consider your suggestions. Keeping Aiden comfortable in various situations definitely helps with his behavior. As far as interest goes I have an inkling he enjoys music . He loves playing with different instruments and I encourage it as much as possible. But he also has a short attention span ;-) so I know we'll just have to wait and see, hopefully he calms down as he gets older.
I was diagnosed with autism when I was about four years old. I too got OT and speech therapy when I was little. The speech therapy carried on through high school. We people with autism do have our challenges. The biggest challenge is socializing. I remember as a little kid I would socialize more with adults than kids. It was hard, but over time I overcame that. I still do have challenges socializing with others. The thing I’m trying to work on is finding a girlfriend. Many of my friends are already married and have families. For me, and those with autism, it’s harder and takes some time. What would be interesting to me would be to find a girl who is on the spectrum as well. I have heard of many autism dating websites, and I am thinking of registering on one of them. Hopefully I can find the right one for me, and have a bright future ahead of me.

I don’t have it . But when I was in high school there was kids with it some worse then others and they are honestly really kind souls that deserve more than what they get from ppl
My cousin has autism and so do I. But we’re polar opposites. He’s outgoing, loud and energetic. And I’m shy, I hate noise and I’m not energetic at all. It’s hard being around him even though it’s not his fault. I know how he feels but it’s so hard to get along and like him
Same, I am kinda shy and I don’t talk to anybody unless they ask me something. Like if somebody talk to me I might take like a few seconds to process what they said. And I also don’t like sounds. But anything that happens I am always very happy with life.
I’m 17 years old and autistic. My sensory things and triggers don’t matter to me...but I’m just like you. I like fashion and reading and video games. I love music and am in a choir. I stargaze and dream and dance like any other. All we want is acceptance. It’s okay to approach me with questions, but please remember we don’t like being stared at or treated as lesser beings ^^
I have autism and it fells like alot of people hate me for it. Its not my fault i was born with it. You saying that make me a bit less thoughtful that everyone hates me. Youre a good person
I was horrible when I was younger. I learned to control my autism, now barely anyone can notice. I learned that many people with autism have heightened intelligence. That's the reason I'm happy to have it, because I can do anything. My skills build like a video game.
Paradoxical Psychosis yeah that’s not healthy, you are going to need to get some help. People with ASD have plenty of emotions, sometimes more intense than someone who is ‘atypical’. But the thing is that many people with ASD can’t recognise their own emotions. Most if not all of people with ASD have meltdowns because they don’t know how to express their emotions, (that they can’t even understand) in a safer healthier way.
I have autism, and I wasn't expecting people in my school to accuse me of lying about my disability. This does hurt; not that people are picking on me, but that they think I would like about having autism.
My parents had me go to speech therapy when I was seven because it was suggested by an expert I was on the autism spectrum. One of the main factors was that I would play with my toys alone without needing attention like my brother and sister. But the biggest factor was I had 200 pounds of Legos + Bionicles with billions of possible combinations. Why would I need 'your' attention?
I'm 17 and I have traits of autism. Not fully diagnosed, going to get a test soon to find out but my traits include being scared of loud noises, problem socialising, awkwardness, trouble fitting in/getting involved or just rather not get involved and other stuff too
I’m 15 and I feel like I’m slightly autistic? I’m not sure. Looking back to when I was younger, I did show some signs but I also feel that I was just lonely and, horrible to say but, a bit depressed. I would play by myself a lot in preschool but got along with other friends in primary. I would spin around lots because the feeling of feeling dizzy intrigued me. I did have some problems with learning but I’m set 1 in most of my subjects. I won’t be upset if I find out I’m autistic, I just want to know the truth about myself.
I’m 17 and lives with Autism,I was diagnosed with it when I was in my early childhood. I’m mostly comfortable being solo or alone because I’m horrible at starting conversations sometimes and get very nervous around doing social interaction with people I don’t know or barely know. If your a friend of mine,I’ll gladly talk to you. If your not a friend or you hate me for whatever reason,I avoid you at all costs. I avoid bullies or people trying to harm or fight me at whatever the cost.

Hi, I am autistic and this is my diagnosis story and the story of how I am learning about my autism through observing myself:) I was diagnosed at age 3, stayed in the hospital(possibly under long term anesthesia)for 8 days, ran through lots of observations and tests, soon enough, they diagnosed me with level 2 autism, for the year of my life I knew I had it, I hated it, I thought it would make me not smart and. It able to fit in, but when I was 5, I learned that’s not true, and my whole life is NOT ruined because I am autistic, the rest of the years were peaceful and calm while dark and angering at the same time, soon enough, I started learning about my autistic traits and my hypotonia that comes with autism, and I still have SO much more to learn, autistic adults, teens and children, please, do not discourage yourself for autism❤
My son just turned 5 years old. He learned how to play and interact with me through ABA therapy, pre-school and early intervention at 2 years old. He doesn't have the diagnosis yet, the psychotherapist thinks it's ADHD but I disagree. My son still repeats phrases, covers his ears, he displays stimming and obsessive behaviors, his social interactions are atypical at times, etc. I think he has Aspergers since it runs in my family.
I was born with Autism. I believe it was for a very good reason. At 48 years old now, I have the care of my father, my mom and my brother and I became a more happy and sweet loving person. :) I'm so blessed as adult to get Social Security and other benefits. Another good thing about getting that disability is that I don't have to worry about working anymore. That mean no more boss from hell to put up with, no more tough times with job. I'm home, happy and I'm enjoying life as a dependent adult child. This video really tells me alot when I was a child. :)
I’ve been thrown death threats about my autism since 8. It’s really hard to be autistic. Well, people make it hard to be autistic. It is a serious topic autism and it disgusts me to see people using autism as the centre of a joke. Autism is serious and it is no joke. I hear lots of slurs thrown at autistic people and it makes me feel uncomfortable knowing that neurotypicals are taking the shit out of autistic people. I hope one day they realise that autism or not, we are the same and that autistic people have the same capability to complete goals they want to achieve as we do.
My cousin has Autism and he’s 5. He goes to therapy everyday but he hasn’t said a word other then “mom” he just makes noises. He’s also really energetic and when he cries he goes crazy. My aunt sent of video and he was destroying the house he was knocking down the furniture. And I feel so bad for him and my aunt. Hopefully he gets better.

My brother Clarence is Autistic and our father died last 2015 and I am unemployed taking care of him while my other brother and mom has to work and ever since he was a child it is difficult for us financially when we have to pay for all the therapy, school for special children etc.. and our government here in the Philippines has no program for special children. Plus people here have less information and understanding for people with disabilities so often they are discriminated.
I have autism and it makes me sad cause all of my friends say autism like it’s a bad thing and it gives you bad reputation and being gay (I’m not gay) as well they all ways say “well that’s autism” or “that’s so gay” if somethings wrong it just isn’t fair :( I think everyone is unique and should be treated evenly.
Have you tried using natural herbal medicine, my cousin had same problem Autism for 2 years it affected her life and career, we came in contact with Dr Isibor on youtube who helped her with his herbal medicine and body cleanser, now she's fine and perfectly ok..
Ok, my son is three, and his mother took him to a developmental practitioner for his delayed speech, and the doctor said he had autism AND ADHD. I can’t believe that he has autism because he engages in play, he plays with others, has eye contact, copies the silly things I do when playing with him, he copies dances (head shoulders knees n toes cartoon dances etc) he doesn’t have particular toys he plays with or lines things up, he communicates what he wants like his juice or snacks or PB&J etc. N then I’m lookin this up, studying it and I don’t see that in my boy! Now there’s something called “mild autism” and MAYYYBE he could have that, but even still it just doesn’t add up to what I see all the time. Can someone please help me? I’m goin for a second opinion soon. I just don’t want my child on unnecessary meds for a condition he could very possibly not have. He’s just a toddler.

Autism is a spectrum. Whilst one autistic person may avoid eye contact, another may stare so intensely at anither persons eyes that it looks like they are staring into your soul. One person may hate physical contact, another may seek it out. And so on.

Terrius Thomas no, not that either. Also, you can’t medicate people for ASD. But you can medicate them for things like anxiety and depression which is very common in people with ASD. I also think that medication should be used as a last resort when it comes to children. It creates a dependence early on and there *has* been research that advocates that medication alters how the brain works if used too heavily.

Also can relate my guy.
You seem very normal to me, you are just a person who loves to be left alone sometimes. What's the wrong with that?

Yes definitely ..Some autistic are verbal means they will speak once you give regular speech therapy

I have moderate to severe autism and everyone is always either super condescending to me or act like I don't have a problem at all since I can talk just fine it is a problem I can't do things independently I need to be consistently what to do and I only have one friend because she is the only person outside my family who is able to except the fact that I don't catch on to social cues and I need to be reminded of everything sometimes I feel like my best friend understands me better then even my parents I love my parents but I think sometimes they don't understand what's going on with me well I guess that's the end of my rant thanks to anyone who read this whole this
I’m from Sri Lanka and my son is 10 years old who is autistic…due to economic crisis here we have no income for 3 years and his school therapy have stopped for these 3 years. I’m autistic and I was really bad when I was a baby like breaking things and saying that I was gonna kill myself but now I’m fine. I’m smart and love call of duty
Any other gamers with autism besides me?
I don't have any types of autism I just have lots of anger issues so it still makes me feel like I'm not alone
I am a autistic person.
Great video 😊
Me when something slightly funny happens: *laugh* EEEEEEEEEEEEE3E3333333 *windshield wiper noises* AAAAAA *spray bottle noises*
*loud wheezing*
Thank you!
My mum thinks I’m autistic I’ve been diagnosed but I can’t really relate to the things In videos about autism
Autism is a spectrum. Whilst one autistic person may avoid eye contact, another may stare so intensely at anither persons eyes that it looks like they are staring into your soul. One person may hate physical contact, another may seek it out. And so on.
My son did not get an autism diagnosis through the school iep . But he got an autism spectrum label with the developmental pediatrician, no evaluation done by them yet . So not sure where to go and what to do . He’s turning 12 and haven’t gotten very far except with an adhd and anxiety diagnosis at a behavioral center with options for meds .
I am too no one sits with me in the bus when im going somewhere.. My own 2 bff's sit together but not me.
i'm so sorry! hopefully someone will soon.
I'm sorry to hear that I'm sure they are missing out on an amazing person like you.
Can you please share what it is you did to improve? Thank you xxx
I have Autism too ☺️ but I don't like it when my Family yells because it hurts me when I was 5 I made excellent progress on the outside I'm 19 years old but in the inside I'm 5 or 6 years old.
I was diagnosed with autism at a late stage about 2-3 years old and all that didn’t help with my primary school as they didn’t care about me at all like I could be doing my own thing and I would get hit on the ground by a kid and they wouldn’t do anything but as soon as I retaliate back they come after me like a 5 star wanted level in gta and it also doesn’t hope the headteacher wanted me to go to a special school and constantly tried to get me expelled and out of all the teachers like 50 ish probbaly less only 5-6 acctualy liked me and wanted to understand and help me now I wanted to kill myself by the time I was in year 6 as that’s when things started to get worse I barely finished my SATS I was put on a separate desk away from everyone the desk was tiny and the chair was big I got bullied about 1-2 times a week and the headteacher told my mum I am a failure and out of all that all I got from primary was the trauma of my past and a mental scar in my brain almost killing my self 1-2 years ago with my mates (I’m 15 now) as all they kept doing to me was calling me autistic and just generally being nasty and it doesn’t help that hardly anyone listens to me anymore my friend I knew since primary doesn’t talk to me anymore I sit my lunches alone on the floor outside and break is the same thing but next to some familiar faces and I don’t even care at this point if they dont want me there I just at least want one time every 24 hours to speak to someone or just be near someone
I have autism but we all now life is hard never give up and I hate loud noice I can’t even talk right and all that
Jamietheboywiththeipad S do you have any frends
My youngest of 4 Jaxon, who is coming up to 2, has just been diagnosed. He doesn’t talk but is so loving and breaks my heart when he’s having a breakdown and I’m trying to calm him. Just want to know how I can help him
I understand exactly how you feel. My son Aiden will be 3 in oct and was diagnosed in aug. Aiden is for the most part no verbal and it’s heartbreaking to see him struggle to communicate his needs. I wish you the best is yalls journey.
andy everitt my daughter was diagnosed at two and is now four. She is non-verbal but has picked up some sign language and pecs is a great way to help communicate. I feel the same when she has her breakdowns, all I can do is hug it out with her. Eventually I’ll figure out what happened but it’s hard. Best of luck. There are so many programs that can help
next thing u know ya son will be saying he’s genderfluid or some shit 😂
I have autism myself. What was best for me was speech therapy and classes on social skills. You also have to be very patient with him, try as hard as you can to put yourself in his shoes. It'll be hard, but you got this.
I was only just diagnosed with autism last year (I’m 13) and it’s been shit. I haven’t even thought that I might have autism before my diagnosis.
Meower 5 watch your profanity.

@@daniel-tg3825 First of all, that's impossible because that is not how it works, and removing Autism from an autistic person's brain is mostly just taking away your identity and what makes you a person.
With my brother is same he is 3 year and half he still didn't talk what ever he want he hold hand and take us that place Can someone please help with suggestions
He have great memories he remembers where ever we go but he don't interested to play with any one 😔

Not trying to offend anybody, but I’m pretty sure by your spelling and “I say the f. Word b word Mf word. I cuss a lot.” Sound like something a 9 year old would say

I have autism when things get too loud I get mad or I get upset and I started covering my ears and then I go ask A grown-up and I get mad sometimes and I don’t know how do use my words when I’m upset but I know that I am a good kid and I try hard but it’s hard for me and people are not listening when I told him to quiet down and then I get upset but I have a really cool guy that helped me he became my friend his name is Rev and he’s there for me when I need him but he’s not always there sometimes he works at the other group home where I live in a group home and he’s there sometimes and he’s just been there ever since I came in I feel like he just became my friend and when I am upset he’s there but the days when he’s not here I still listen to things that he tells me do you think that he tells me to do and I think about him all the time
We were supposed to have our meeting with the developmental pediatrician who had findings that my sign has either autism, is gifted, or genius because he was diagnosed to have a decoding skills of a 2nd grader at age three. Now, he is five years old. He is the one reading in the video. ruclips.net/video/l7841i_36SQ/видео.html

I have autism I am 13 years old...

WillyMcFly when I started pre-K I was running screaming kicking hitting and more. I was sent to a different school with special education class for about 6 years then in 3rd grade they noticed my behavior is improving and put me back to regular classes then 7th grade I had accelerated classes I made it to honor band Las Vegas youth orchestras and jazz band(I was born in California 2/7/2006 moved and currently living in Las Vegas Nevada around March 2011 so most of my life I live in Las Vegas Nevada) so that’s my story of autism

Having autism myself, it cant be defined or explained. Certain traits are irrelevant went explaining autism and same when explain a "normal" person. I socialized with kids my age and still do, I never have outburst or anything and I don't have trouble understand most things. It's all different. Autism sure is interesting.
I got Autism and I was diagnosed at 8 my friends little brother was diagnosed at 2 with Autism
hi, my grandson has autism, they said severe autism, he is two and five months years old. He was also diagnosed at 2 yrs old. He goes to school everyday. He recently started to use an app on the ipad, which he uses to communicate phrases and words, like no, yes, thank you, etc. He's such a sweet little boy, full of love and affection. Wish you the best!

Greyslopp people are infected with unknown diseases before they were born and this caused them to be autistic and vulgar teachers try to bully those students and force them to fit in.

I was told I have autism but that is wrong
The Blackcelt you’re you, being able to have the label ‘autistic’ applied to you, doesn’t change a thing.
@@scomo7yearsago958 oh I'm sorry! your right! Medication can't autism! Since autism is a brain wiring difference! Autism is untreatable with medication
