Your understanding of camera angles and perspectives at that young is genuinely so impressive. at that age i may as well have been eating dirt in comparison
I'd probably be disappointed it wasn't from the big plans for videos that I had back then. And also that my videos aren't all elaborate fight sequences and gory horror movies! Luckily I grew out of the whole 'more blood equals better video'
@@drool3616 considering they were ALL children! When I made videos with my friends at this age they failed to take direction and I never would've been able to line them up like this, and that's assuming I could've even thought of the idea 😂
Philip, I dont mind if you make videos more offen or if you take a week for a video. What counts for me is that you do what you want to do, and not become an industry-driven advertising-influencer. We've lost too many good RUclipsrs to that. Stay as you are, please :)
while i 100% agree, it is easy to say as a bystander/outsider I dont know if he entirely depends on youtube, but i suspect the pure need for "financial survival" drove many of those industry driven advertising influencers to where they are now, to not be driven by passion, but the need to pay rent
i'm going through the same thing! except instead of shortening my video projects to a day each, i was hoping to lower it to 2 weeks lol i always appreciate videos like these about your process, because over the years there's been many times where i would relate with what you talked about. especially this time, over the years i've noticed a slow erosion of those good habits, as you put it. it's almost like entropy where i naturally fall into getting less done in more time.
Fascinating, you want to do multiple things in a day and be satisfied - I do much learning and projects every day, and yet I wonder if I should spend multiple days on each thing instead, to improve flow state and focus as a thing progresses. I guess this is a sign that regardless of what I have, I should hold it as special, because the grass is pretty green on either side of the fence
Bro the films you did as a kid are impressive as. As a film student, many people in my course are learning this stuff for the first time when you knew it as a young kid. Impressive
I have always enjoyed the content on this channel for how much I relate to it. From the sleep paralysis videos to the covid diaries to the reflection on our creative growth and struggles. As someone who also works in a creative field for a living which started out as my childhood passion, I also recall in an envious manner how quickly I was able to put together videos / art. Sure, they weren't nearly as good of quality as they are now, but there was something freeing in the lack of caring about that. Even now, when I work on something for someone else for money. I find myself getting it done in record time compared to my personal projects I think I hold to a higher standard. And somehow, the contract work I made somehow looks like a cleaner end product than my personal ones I spend so much time on. Maybe I too need to heavily trim my ambition and align my expectations with something more realistic. I'll probably be happier with the result. But it can be so hard to let go of the lure of a grandeois magnum opus. If you are starting up more Once a Day projects- I sure hope you share them.
It's always immensely relatable and wholesome to see stuff Philip made when he was a kid. Makes me think of all the drawing me and my sister did when we were children.
This is kinda inspiring, I have been LACKING lately in regards to getting projects done. I too will let this day mark a change! Single day projects from now on!
excited to see whatever you have on the horizon dude. will legit watch whatever you put out at this point, been invested for too many years to stop tuning in now
Maybe this is the wrong channel to comment (especially if the kliksphilips are all secretly different people!) But when the dust settles on Unreal Engine for Fortnite's launch, I think a video on it might be right up your alley. From your opinions on Unreal, map designing software, Epic Games (past and present) etc. Love your videos and perspective!
i do the same when i right rhymes or i make beats i make like 80 percent or something and then i stop and i do something else and then i have a bunch of almost completed stufff but i lack the will .. prolly i have adhd or something like that
I have a really good tip to help with procrastinating: lie on the couch for two hours not really doing anything. Just watch RUclips on your phone. I find it weirdly refreshing in giving me the ability to do stuff again.
These videos must be pretty therapeutic for you. At the same time giving us more authentic view at the being you are. I feel more like a stalker and less like a parasocial friend which is good?
Your understanding of camera angles and perspectives at that young is genuinely so impressive. at that age i may as well have been eating dirt in comparison
At that age I definitely was eating dirt
It's adorable seeing young philip. I wonder what he would say with the knowledge his dreams would eventually come true with video making

@@kliksphilip I believe you to be lying, I've seen your gory cs2 video
@@kliksphilip thankfully you're more mature than 3kliksplhippl
Those forced perspective shots at the halfway point are kind of shockingly good looking.
Really impressive considering philip was just a child

it is nice you still have your childhood videos
actually i was a little underwhelmed and didn't hear anything you said because of the footage. it was interesting what little Phillip is doing.

Don't know why, but old VHS footage is pure horror film ward.
Love your short projects, and most of all - music !
young philip knew his audience so well, he will go far
I like that this script doesn't feel like something deep I should ruminate on, it's more conversation feeling.

pretty cool use of perspective for the giant footage.
Looking forward to seeing more videos but i also appreciate the unique and in-depth perspective you provide :)
hey, noticed you have not uploaded in a couple days, hope you are taking these days and focusing on you, love from Arizona

you got this philip, I believe in you
That background video with the depth illusion making the giant is _adorable_!
2:19 Ayyyyyy, it's the childhood Helm's Deep re-enactment we've been waiting almost five years to see (ruclips.net/video/SXwC8jnP4Y4/видео.htmlm19s)
5 minutes with Phill 2, but in some way changed so that RUclips doesn't hate on it again. 😊

Must have been weird to have Bill Gates as your dad.
I wanna watch dr who and the zombies!
i like hearing you talk
The footage in this video is so cool
You were such a cute baby with your serious face 😍
You haven't changed a bit apart of the beard obviously 😂
I like the idea of more videos with less time put into them. 5 minutes with Phil was a bit too much, but this sounds like a nice idea :)
Man wtf. I didn't get a notification for this video, not in the browser or on mobile
Delightful videoids.
Yaay, comment section is back! :)
is quite showing that at young age you had such a talent for this

Doctor Who and the Zombies in Fusion 2.5 when?
more fluffykins please :)

Quality over quantity
Young Philip did Attack on Titan before Attack on Titan did!

Did you make this video in one day?
Do you still have fun making those videos?

average day in britain, just stab a zombie
Are you a big dr who fan?
Why dont you use AI to make the subtitles for you. Gpt has a plugin for audio.
Its usually not good enough
Hopefully the horrid performance of this video is just a fluke
is this an april fools day video or are you serious?
Holy hell those forced perspective shots??? From a child???
