i love caboosing. the usage of this music gives me a certain feeling about the topic you are discussing. from the top of my head. i think the feeling of trolling or being ironic about something
I love Caboosing, it fits perfectly for jokey segments. All of your music is sublime, sometimes when I'm browsing through presets on a synth, I'll hang on one when my immediate thought it "Oh that sounds like something in one of Philip's songs."
Never change the music please, especially this first song. Your music has motivated me to make music myself already for many years now. You actually changed my life completely and I'm not even joking.
I don't typically leave comments, but I felt compelled to express how much your music, as well as your dad's, has been a constant companion throughout my 3D art journey. Nearly every piece I've created has been crafted while listening to one of your tracks. It's a good background to vibe to, Space Travel song never fails to send shivers down my spine. When kliksphilip or Steventhedreamer are playing i transform into a productivity machine. I'm sincerely grateful to both of you for the inspiration and motivation you provide. Thank you.
Caboosing is great, it has a particular atmosphere that you don’t often get out of music and that’s really special to me. I think it’s a perfect kind of song for the voice over in your videos.
The most frustrating thing about negative comments, for me, is that the more wildly wrong or unreasonable the comment is, the more likely I am to engage with it. I dunno, I just feel compelled to set the record straight when I see somebody spouting absolute nonsense or thoroughly unreasonable judgement on someone else, when really, their extraordinarily stupid comment is the least deserving of engagement and should be ignored. As somebody who is planning on entering the 'creator' side of RUclips soon, this is something i think I'm really going to have to get better at, or else it's going to drive me insane.
I agree. Sometimes I find myself reading a bunch of thoughtful comments, only to observe myself wanting to reply to some half-formed criticism. Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough to say to post under 'good' comments, yet there is always a few things brewing for certain other comments. Maybe that's a bias I should consciously counter. Though I guess that would mean asking 'Why do you think so?' of people that post stuff like 'nice video' as well.
Honestly, Richard Lewis warning you about the address thing is a nice move I hadn't expected from him. During all this drama, I was always firmly on your side (probably because when I met you at ESL afterparties, you were always nice, and RL was always a bit of an arse), but this is the right thing to say
@@indestructiblemadness8531 You don't really have to like Richard, but respect he has earned throughout the years for his work. He has done so much for the CS community, and we owe him at least respecting him for that, no matter how delusional he can get at times.

@@no64256 He's a big figure in the pro scene (not as a player though), and have been many things: Host, analyst, etc. But what he has done that deserves respect from the CS community is as a journalist, which include exposing various forms of corruption, and therefore helping the scene stay as 'clean' as possible. I say that knowing full well that the pro scene is basically owned by the Saudi's these days, so I guess to some degree you can sadly say he lost the fight.
Funny thing, caboosing is one of my favorite tracks from your videos. There is a cool sense of mistery that it has, and it's start is so unique it's impossible to miss. Been watching you for at least 7 years and have so many positive memories associated to your content and soundtrack. Keep caboosing Phillip
Been watching for what? 8 years now? and still you're one of my favourite youtubers and I watch every video you produce. I love your own personal touch to every video. Thanks Philip! and thanks Klik Empire too.
I appreciate this channel so much because of how personal it is - so please keep using caboose! It's not often to find a channel where people just "speak" - not diminishing all the effort you put into getting relevant footage and scripting, but the way you work and write on this channel manages to consistently feel like those discussions you have with someone smart as a kid, just listening and appreciating the way someone is conveying their thoughts to you.
It is unfortunate to see so much negativity on the internet and online, but I am very happy that you always find a way to bring at least some positivity into a negative topic, way to go Philip.
i really enjoy your transparency with how you feel about random tangential things like this. its really interesting to hear about what your experience is like as a creator. please keep doing what youre doing :)
You are a very unique creator and i fully enjoy the dose of parasocial hangout i get from videos like this. Even if I didn't spot myself in any of these screenshots.
I think it’s due to it having that very harsh change in intensity making it startle you coupled with very distorted edm synths. Not to mention after the very intense section the synth kinda lingers around a bit, trying to remind everyone that the scare isn’t over yet.
Caboosing's main rift makes for such a good segue. The main reason some people might find it annoying is because that rift grabs your attention, so if you're using it as background noise while doing something else, it can be distracting. Also this is the first time I've heard or used it's name.
It isn't that for me since i rarely listen to background videos, it's too confusing for me to do it 😅, but Personally, i feel that the general feeling of the entire soundtrack causes me a little bit of unease, not enough to be melancholy...
Well that's funny because i love caboosing. Your music (& your dad's music) really sets a particular atmosphere to your videos. I've never found this atmosphere anywhere else on RUclips. Please keep including it!
Caboosing just "sounds" like your videos, its like they share the same energy. Whenever im dilly dallying around in cs (noclip and nohud just like you do), its like the song just plays on my head automatically
you have basically perfected the craft of theming your own yt videos to you, every time a video starts with one of your chosen songs it just gives the perfect feel that its your video, long thoughtful "conversation" are my favorite part of your channel.
Honestly Caboosing has caused me to start instantly skimming the video for a part it isn't playing, I even did on this video until I realized you were talking about exactly it. I always liked the other songs but starting a video with Caboosing has nearly always made me do this. I don't why, the song went from "detail breakdown song" to eerie anxious music, I'm not sure when that made the switch in my head.
?????? I've always liked Caboosing, although I didn't know the name. I don't tend to notice background music often, but the swell intro to Caboosing always catches my attention, and makes me associate it with your content, which I like. I'm guessing it's a silent majority situation.
Caboosing is a certified banger; so much so that I probably spent a good half hour searching for it's name. I have the same comments about songs, although my Caboosing is simultaneously the most complained about, and most name-requested song. There's really no winning in RUclips comments, it's a shame reading them is so addicting!
As others have mentioned Caboosing gives a special feeling to the moment of your videos. At first I thought it was a bit annoying as it was used so much. But now I realize it gives a clear cue when the tone of the video is changed. I've started to enjoy hearing the soundtrack. All your music is great, please don't stop using it!
I never imagined some people hated so much caboosing, wow I actually like it, and i find that all music you put fits into the context, so well that i actually have to think about it to notice I love all of it
I actually like that song, because of how it incorporates a pretty intense synth with a more calm, windy sound. And the little acoustic snare taps in the background.
I usually don't comment after a hours have passed, usually because the comment will get buried under other comments; thinking it won't be seen by the content creator. I don't know why anyone would hate the kilksphilip empire, make it their mission to "being it down". I have never met any of the 3 Philip brothers but they all seem so nice, not just in the videos they produce, but also through comments of people who have actually met one of the Philips. Hope to meet you one day and express my gratitude in person for all the things you do.
Wow, just the over day I was searching the name of the Cabiosing track, I thoroughly researched all two or three artists on Spotify and RUclips, even some RUclips compilation with music from your videos, but still couldn't find it... And there you are, starting the video with this track and telling it's name right into my face! Thank you. And by the way, Caboosing is Awesome
Hello Philip! I'm sure this video has like a 1000 of these types of comments now that you brought this up but I never knew anyone disliked that song. I see it just as nostalgic and calming as all the other tracks. I think I've almost always liked it, never hated it certainly, never felt any of those bad emotions from it. I can of course tell why people hate that sound and why they feel what they feel. And when I was watching this video also let my girlfriend listen to this song and she described almost the exact same emotions as described in the video and she seems pretty horrified from it. I think people just need to listen to it more. Some of my favourite songs of all time are tracks that I completely hated at first. If you can be bothered listen to a few seconds of the track munou by österreich, maybe you'll feel what I felt, what they feel when listening to caboosing, it's so jazzy and out of tune sounding and out of tempo I completely hated it for years, but nowadays it's gotta be in my top 10. tl;dr Give caboosing more exposure, it good.
This will be my first comment on your channel. I've been having a blast rewatching your older videos. Thanks for everything you do. Now I return to lurking here in silence for a few years hencemore. (Seriously, please don't be discouraged from uploading and doing whatever else you love. You are amazing.)
I just love how he talks about hating on Caboosing, but the comments love it lmao. I honestly love it myself, I'd say that it is very good as a joke segment song.
Your videos grab my attention in so many different ways, and I credit a lot of that to the music you use. I’ve even bought your music pack for CS (even though I hardly play it… 40 hrs at time of writing). I adore the way you format your videos, your channels, and the dialogue you give. You’re legitimately a good RUclipsr, and there’s not a lot of channels I’d say that about. Your videos are among those ones I see in my sub feed and think “Ooo! Such and such uploaded! I already know I’m gonna enjoy it, so I’m gonna find a time in the day where I can watch it uninterrupted with my full attention.” And then never forget to watch it before the end of the day, despite being forgetful of things that should typically take priority. It’s the kind of uploads that make you smile when you see them in your feed. Keep it up, and I’ll be here until the last video you upload. I’ll also be sure to comment more often since I know you do in fact read them! And for the love of all things, please don’t change the music. Thanks.
It is a great song and it is something defining for the feel of your channel. It isn't a song i wouldn't listen to on its own, but it belongs on your channel.
Omg I've been obsessed with Caboosing ever since I watched your Italy video 44 days ago (which also happens to be my gf's birthday). I listened to all your music and your dad's I could find and even went through many many synth patches and modules and so on trying to grasp at an essence of its beauty. This video has me contemplating if there really is a greater being behind all this. Thank you. Please make a video talking about the process / equipment used.
About Caboosing: Your music (or your dad's music) has developed its own charm over the years. I've even spontaneously listened to the music in a playlist once. I like the mature way you handle this topic and find your response to be very nice :) keep it up kliksphilip
It's surprising how people find caboosing anxiety inducing, i guess it's one of those things different people can percieve wildly differently, personally i love it just as much as the others !
Literally thought of this song a few days ago at work and couldnt find it after i got home so i spiraled out of my mind cause i knew you use this all the time, finally I can add it to the collection. Love it so much
When people dislike something they'll let you know, but rarely when they like something. Background music enhances the content, but it's in the background so won't get praise quickly. Caboosing to me stood out as well, that's why it's very iconic kliksphilip to me. I can imagine if the sounds bother someone it's extra annoying, because it's a song that stands out so much. You'll have to decide if the few people who get bothered by it are worth satisfying by the many who do enjoy the song. But let's be honest, if you stopped using it no-one would notice. At least if you didn't make this video :P
I left a comment on one of your old Dirt Rally vids some time ago how it inspired me to try out the racing genre of games that was totally out of my usual type of games I play. Spiraled me to be fully into sim racing as hobby((and even deeper into that stuff now then I was then)) and gotten taken off guard that you gave it a like despite it being such old video. Made my day :)
Really interesting video. You raised such a range of points that all have your own depth to them. The Hogwarts Legacy/JKR/Trans mess was a strange microcosm of the outrages you see today. I'm trans myself, and we're such a small part of the population the hate seems crazy. So many people from both sides were completely irrational during the release of Hogwarts Legacy. And if it's worth anything, I found your HL videos great!
@@rubz1390 The game didn't stand to it's own merits in many ways. But in reality, that's just how the games industry works. People move on to the next big thing.
@@CentaurionArcher I meant more like after 6 months people aren't really talking about the controversy anymore. People who haven't played it yet are going to see it in the Steam store and buy it now if they want without knowing about all the drama that came with it.
Thank you for commenting on the hogwarts legacy drama. I saw it happen live on twitter and was concerned for you. Seems like a lot of people were just searching by the keyword "hogwarts legacy" on twitter and critisising people there.
Caboosing is awesome, I had no idea so many people disliked it I saw the Harry Potter vid & ignored it. But it is difficult when you watch someone you looked up to spend years spreading transphobia & hate, deciding you need to just completely distance yourself from all her work, but then watching everyone around you who's unaffected by her bigotry just continue to support her work without a care in the world. Does that make you transphobic for playing a video game? No, but I understand the frustration.
on the transphobia/"bigger enemies" thing: yes, there are people, structures and organizations that are way bigger problems for us. i don't think it makes a lot of sense to go blasting any youtuber who covered that game or whatever, but i can understand why people are doing it. theres several things leading to it: a. a genuine want to educate and show why giving certain people a platform/expanding it is a bad thing. the commenters don't know if you genuinely don't know what the matter with JKR is, if you simply chose to ignore it or actively agree with her. b. when you're a member of any marginalised group, especially nowadays you can have a pretty strong sense that everything out there in the world is out to get you. that's partially because too much of it is - we're all seeing the rancid hate against trans people being spread all over the place* - but it's also in part because internet forums really amplify this negativity and hate beyond scale. so because of this sense of constantly being attacked, you're inclined to jump to defend yourself at the smallest things. to be clear, i'm not saying that that is good or healthy behaviour, i'm saying i can understand it. * this is actually a really good measure for how seriously a newspaper takes their journalistic duties and integrity - do they just blindly parrot the obvious nonsense people spout as facts or do they question and contextualise it? sadly way too many major news outlets direly fail at this.
Slander campaign isn't 'educational'. It's bullying- especially when it goes to other forms of social media, ignores any context or situation and just accuses me of wanting trans genocide. Those accusations are malicious and nasty, and those people know they can attack as much as they want and any backlash they get they can play the 'help I'm being repressed by a transphobe' card. It's not a part of the trans movement the rest should want to be associated with
@@kliksphilip Well this is the other side of the issue, where you act like you were murdered for playing a game. You got some mean comments on the internet, no one is making laws to make your life worse or to actively have you killed, you'll live.
Just because there are starving children in Africa, it doesn't mean other people can't have problems in their life. The way I've been treated isn't okay
@@kliksphilipthe vitriol directed toward you and people who played hogwarts legacy is completely unjustified. However I agree with this commenter because its important to consider the causation of that behaviour, especially in this context. It’s true that Rowling is toxic and has the influence to cause very real repression. That being said playing the hogwarts game doesn’t make you compliant or something
I understand not wanting to start any drama over Hogwarts Legacy by replying to comments and such, but could you at least have removed the transphobic ones? Or did you leave them up so you'd get more engagement or whatever? :/ Still really disappointed how you handled that comment section
If I didn't see this video, I would have never guessed people dislike caboosing. It is one of my favorite songs used and I associate it positively with your videos. I love the atmosphere and feeling it adds to the video. Please don't stop using it
oof now i know youre actually gonna read this which makes it a bit weeeird but i think the hogwarts legacy stuff is too complex to place in a blanket "i was mobbed" thing or a "everyone who interacts with it is transphobic" thing its a hard topic within trans communities because we are so relatively powerless as we see our siblings getting murdured and the prime advocates for our continued oppression - like JK rowling - still get their media empires funded. a lot of us get very jaded and want to try and stop that (for obvious reasons) by any means but this turns into advocacy that doesnt really matter. like arguing on twitter over consumption choices. its hurts seeing us be ignored in laws or only noticed to be shat on more so a lot lash out in bad ways. this might be quite a stretch but imagine theres a racist film director in the 1960s and he releases a film that - whilst having no racism in it - black people obviously arent keen on people watching the film for obvs reasons. but because of how society is at the time theres also not really much they can do about it or the director. a lot of that frustration may be funneled into petty arguments about consumption of it due to the relative powerlessness of a group. and now in 2020 id say trans people have even less power so theres even more room for that powerless lashing out yknow i think im rambling although i will say- brianna ghey's murder was 100% a hate crime and i dont think it was a good idea to confidentaly say it wasn't and to chastise someone for being emotional over it just because the police had put out a shit statement before any real investigation had started. but the logic at the time of the incident of "trans person bullied by teens at school gets murdered by teens from that school" is pretty self evident and yeah i will say there is an element of transphobia to assume there was no transphobia at play in the attack and to use that to try and make someone else shut up i dont want this to be an attack but more just an explanation of what its like from our point of view caboosing is great though how do people dislike it

here I am, love watching philip, me
I don't typically leave comments, but I felt compelled to express how much your music, as well as your dad's, has been a constant companion throughout my 3D art journey.
I dont follow him enough to conclude for sure, but my image is, that he is a bit of an arse with a code.
@@indestructiblemadness8531
You don't really have to like Richard, but respect he has earned throughout the years for his work. He has done so much for the CS community, and we owe him at least respecting him for that, no matter how delusional he can get at times.
Who's Richard Lewis? I've never played Counter Strike
@@no64256 he's an esports journalist (and at times, a desk host at majors) who uncovered the iBuyPower match fixing scandal and more recently broke the most comprehensive story on CS2 when we were all still guessing. he's incredibly good at what he does, if incredibly insecure - during the drama with Philip he blocked me for saying a silly joke lol.
@@no64256
He's a big figure in the pro scene (not as a player though), and have been many things: Host, analyst, etc.
I like caboosing. Caboosing army rise up
Been watching for what? 8 years now? and still you're one of my favourite youtubers and I watch every video you produce. I love your own personal touch to every video. Thanks Philip! and thanks Klik Empire too.
i love all your and your dads music, please keep using all of it
I love all the music you play in your videos. They've always felt very deliberately chosen and fitting, especially in your more nostalgic content.
I love all your and your dad's music
same, it helps relax me when I have trouble sleeping.
Ditto. It's fascinating.
I was surprised to see an entire video script in the captions, you made me watch it twice lol
Caboosing's main rift makes for such a good segue. The main reason some people might find it annoying is because that rift grabs your attention, so if you're using it as background noise while doing something else, it can be distracting. Also this is the first time I've heard or used it's name.
It isn't that for me since i rarely listen to background videos, it's too confusing for me to do it 😅, but
Personally, i feel that the general feeling of the entire soundtrack causes me a little bit of unease, not enough to be melancholy...
Yeeah, I remember him talking about it, no other youtuber really comes close
Now I gotta bookmark this video and comment in 10 years to see if he is still reading comments.
I could also reply here in ten years, who knows...
I'll try to remember to get here in 10 years
ill try to reply too see ya guys
is this a time capsule comment chain? count me in
I always have positive associations to Caboosing. It's very unique to your humour and narration style :)
I like the part where Kliksphilip said "its Caboosin' time!" And proceeded to Caboose over everyone in the comment section
nerd
this is such a dumb comment. +1 👍
You have my updoot!
This song is perfect where you use it, I like it alongside all of your musical work
I freaking love Caboosing, it and Snychobonk are iconically your sound. The fact some people get angry over it is a musical achievement
Caboosing perfectly captures essence of a bruh moment
Cäböösing
As others have mentioned Caboosing gives a special feeling to the moment of your videos. At first I thought it was a bit annoying as it was used so much. But now I realize it gives a clear cue when the tone of the video is changed. I've started to enjoy hearing the soundtrack. All your music is great, please don't stop using it!
Caboosing is great, it's like a musical jumpscare if it was a scary clown in the wild west.
wild Whomobile spotted
I never imagined some people hated so much caboosing, wow
I actually like it, and i find that all music you put fits into the context, so well that i actually have to think about it to notice
I love all of it
I've always really liked Caboosing. It's absolutely one of my favourites.
I genuinely like Caboosing, unironically. It suits the silly bits where it's used, but even without that, I think it just sounds nice.
That's the song that let's me know shit boutta go down.
I appreciate you keeping a pragmatic and level head on these topics. Keep on keeping on Philip
The vibes of caboosing are actually my favourite. they remind me of days i cant quite remember
Crossing those islands, Atomic amnesia, Digadig and Synchobonk are some of my favourite songs and even made it into my playlist, thanks kliks!
Sorry to you, Kuma, but this one is a banger. Never stop using it, Philip. And keep on rocking, burger40.
We're anxiously awaiting your arrival, burger40.
About Caboosing: Your music (or your dad's music) has developed its own charm over the years. I've even spontaneously listened to the music in a playlist once. I like the mature way you handle this topic and find your response to be very nice :)
keep it up kliksphilip
CABOOSING I LOVE THAT SONG
I’ve always loved that track. I think the opening notes play in my head whenever I think of your content.
Ironically after say 6 months of Hogwarts release nobody cares anymore.
The loud caboosings broke me every time, please don't stop
Thank you for commenting on the hogwarts legacy drama. I saw it happen live on twitter and was concerned for you. Seems like a lot of people were just searching by the keyword "hogwarts legacy" on twitter and critisising people there.
What the hell, Caboosing is truly iconic and probably my favorite.
I like how silly but mesmerizing it is at the same time.
Caboosing is awesome, I had no idea so many people disliked it
I saw the Harry Potter vid & ignored it.
To use the weird phrase that me and my roommates/friends use, you're in fact, a good bean
also i like the eldritch caboose music its lovely
on the transphobia/"bigger enemies" thing: yes, there are people, structures and organizations that are way bigger problems for us. i don't think it makes a lot of sense to go blasting any youtuber who covered that game or whatever, but i can understand why people are doing it.
theres several things leading to it:
a. a genuine want to educate and show why giving certain people a platform/expanding it is a bad thing. the commenters don't know if you genuinely don't know what the matter with JKR is, if you simply chose to ignore it or actively agree with her.
b. when you're a member of any marginalised group, especially nowadays you can have a pretty strong sense that everything out there in the world is out to get you. that's partially because too much of it is - we're all seeing the rancid hate against trans people being spread all over the place* - but it's also in part because internet forums really amplify this negativity and hate beyond scale. so because of this sense of constantly being attacked, you're inclined to jump to defend yourself at the smallest things.
to be clear, i'm not saying that that is good or healthy behaviour, i'm saying i can understand it.
You did a great job of explaining this. Thank you I’ve been looking for this comment
I LOVE Caboosing! It's one of my most listened to songs from your channel! It feels similar to re-entry for me but more energetic.
Please don't stop using it
oof now i know youre actually gonna read this which makes it a bit weeeird but i think the hogwarts legacy stuff is too complex to place in a blanket "i was mobbed" thing or a "everyone who interacts with it is transphobic" thing
its a hard topic within trans communities because we are so relatively powerless as we see our siblings getting murdured and the prime advocates for our continued oppression - like JK rowling - still get their media empires funded. a lot of us get very jaded and want to try and stop that (for obvious reasons) by any means but this turns into advocacy that doesnt really matter. like arguing on twitter over consumption choices. its hurts seeing us be ignored in laws or only noticed to be shat on more so a lot lash out in bad ways. this might be quite a stretch but imagine theres a racist film director in the 1960s and he releases a film that - whilst having no racism in it - black people obviously arent keen on people watching the film for obvs reasons. but because of how society is at the time theres also not really much they can do about it or the director. a lot of that frustration may be funneled into petty arguments about consumption of it due to the relative powerlessness of a group. and now in 2020 id say trans people have even less power so theres even more room for that powerless lashing out yknow
i think im rambling although i will say- brianna ghey's murder was 100% a hate crime and i dont think it was a good idea to confidentaly say it wasn't and to chastise someone for being emotional over it just because the police had put out a shit statement before any real investigation had started. but the logic at the time of the incident of "trans person bullied by teens at school gets murdered by teens from that school" is pretty self evident and yeah i will say there is an element of transphobia to assume there was no transphobia at play in the attack and to use that to try and make someone else shut up
i dont want this to be an attack but more just an explanation of what its like from our point of view
caboosing is great though how do people dislike it
WHAT!? People dislike Caboosing? I love it. I'm not a big music listening fellow, but all background music you use on your videos are pleasing to me, Caboosing included. This is my Caboosing appreciation post, please keep using it.
I can't find the burger :(
I honestly love caboosing, I never gave it much thought when I hear it, but the weird eeriness of it always fits the segment its in, usually evoking the right feeling for it!
I think people would notice something was off if you DIDNT use it for those silly/weird parts.
(I know I will now, after this video)
I adore caboosing!
Your videos are some of my favorite to watch on youtube. well researched, scripted, edited, voiced. You really stand out among the creators of this platform. And your fathers music makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. never stop doing what your doing. unless you want to i suppose
As a synth-lover, cabooseing is just a fun slidey glissando synth track. It grabs my attention and delicately yet articulately warbles. Never found the song uncomfortable nor unpleasant.
literally kliked on this video ready to hear the beautiful music and right away my ears were attacked. Thank you for adressing this caboosing incident
Nice video, and insightful. Did I catch it right that you manually approve all the comments on your videos?
Also can't yet see if that burger person, or the atomic amnesia guy has commented yet. Would love to see their replies!
nope
I really like the music you use in your videos, including Caboosing.
nobody can hate this guy.
apart from overly paranoid and insecure csgo journalists
I could do it but i don't really want to
These thoughtful introspections are my favorite part of following you
butger40 where r u?
I love the running joke of boosting the volume of caboosing specifically in this video
2:56 FMPONE didn't deserve this ;-;
I want to say that I love your channels and the grand experiment of the kliks empire.
You're point of view is so unique and so well dissected between all the channels that it's almost archival of the experience of RUclips.
Thank you Philip!! I look forward to every step you take :)
