I recently picked up an Xbox 360 and started collecting for it, and it is purely because of your videos. Love a Collector John upload. Your chill approach to videogame hunting got me back into adding to my old Xbox, PS2 and 360 collection. Found Sudeki on Xbox for £4 last week. A game I owned as a kid but somehow entirely lost. Such a fun find.

I came across your videos randomly and it's quickly become my favorite gaming content on RUclips. You are a really unique voice on the platform. Your video capture the fun of retro game collecting that so many of us feel and gets lost in the idea of having a collection filled with all the "heavy hitters." I like that you don't just go for the most expensive games like so many other channels, and instead show how much fun there is to be had in the lesser known and more obscure games as well. The small reviews and feelings you give on some of the games in each video are great and it's cool you aren't afraid to show when a game disappoints you. It's something i think every gamer can identify with. I was definitely groaning when I saw you picking up Bullet Witch.

I saw that Bullet Witch is one of the 360 games that spiked in price and I think a lot of people who are spending way too much on it are going to be disappointed

This remains one of my fantasy RUclips channels by a mile. The Coffee x Boba Tea intro immediately followed by the Dreamcast intro sound, you can’t teach this stuff.
And the fact that your retro Character Action games and the Earth Defense Force game serving as cheaper retro alternatives to things like Stellar Blade and Helldivers is such a cool detail and great for gamers low on cash and time like myself. You’re the man, man

Fallout 3 and Oblivion together in one package is quite the weird combination.
Don't ever trade anything in at Gaming Generations. They pay very low compared to other stores. They don't even beat Game Stop sometimes.

Great pickups, I like how you showed the differences between the 360 and Xbox versions of TR: Legend... That generation of gaming is sometimes difficult to collect for as you sometimes forget which system ran the game best and had the most features. Some collectors don't care, especially if you're gonna collect the same game again but good for those who only prefer one version of each game.
Wow, those prices are pretty solid, wish they had a gaming generations by me!
360 unfortunately experienced a big FOMO hit mid april this year(not sure when you filmed this!). So more 'wanted' titles like bulletwitch & lollipop chainsaw people are wanting $50-60+ for on ebay/mercari etc.
And the onechanbara's ive seen going for $100+, which is insane since the fomo will inevitably die down for most titles like it does with most consoles.
360 isnt at the ps2/GC point yet with prices but seems like people are trying to get it there sooner rather than later :(.

Elshaddai is a really cool experience. Each stage has sections that switch the game mechanics. It’s almost like playing a fever dream. It left a lasting impression on me.

Currently on eBay there’s a seller with sealed copies of Blades of time for Xbox 360 for $24.99. I ordered one but haven’t played it yet to tell you if it’s any good or not. I prefer going in retro game stores but i only have 1 near me and their selection is good but they don’t always have what I’m looking for. The next good retro store is almost an hour and a half away from and i don’t always get a chance to go that way.
I got to give you a lot of respect, because most RUclipsrs jumped on the bullet witch bandwagon and they are yelling from the rooftops that that is one of the best games ever. I bought it when it first came out and I still have my original copy but I was highly disappointed in how that game. At least you have a game that's going up in value

Nice pick-ups John. Contra games are so good, apart from Contra rogue corps. EDF and games are fun. I've just recently picked up Tales of Symphonia remastered for xbox one, I've never played it but after hearing how much nostalgia you have for it will help me give it a good go so thank you.
Nice pickups! El Shaddai releases on Switch next Tuesday if you prefer getting on that system. SMT5 Vengeance rekeases on June 14th (it's SMT5 with additional content) if you want to wait to get the complete edition. And Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP (it's a remaster on curent gen platforms) is supposed to be released before the end of the year if you prefer waiting for that version as well. I think your best pickup this time is Tales of Symphonia as it comes with Dawn of the New World, which is a spin-off to Symphonia. So, 2 games for 10$ is a hell of a deal! Great video and keep up the good work!

love the new haircut! I didn't own much ps2 games growing up but one of them was indeed Dark Cloud. It is a really good game, sadly i didn't get far because I was too young to read at the time lol, but my favorite thing to do was fishing. I should really pick up Tales of Symphonia to own it instead of playing it on an emulator. Great video as always!

Nice pickups. If you didn't know, that Watchmen The End Is High on PS3 comes with The Watchman movie Blu-ray as well. 😊 Also Lego games like The Lord of The Rings and the Batman games come with movies as well.

Anyway, El Shaddai is a really cool game, switches up the gameplay between 2D platforming and 3D combat. Also has an interesting story based on the book of Enoch. So if you find theology and stuff interesting (which I do) then it’s definitely worth checking out.
Also, thanks for helping me take Bullet Witch off of my list lol I was on the fence about it given the price, but I think your review seals it for me.
And yes Shattered Soldier is awesome, but it is BALLS hard even for a Contra game. But you probably should have grabbed Fatal Inertia for $15. Pretty sure it’s selling for like $150 or something crazy right now 😅

Bullet Witch came out before Bayonetta.
And I hear you on Bullet Witch. I got it with Deadly Premonition maybe 8 years ago thinking they were a similar vibe, but they were not lol. If you’ve never played Deadly Premonition, I’d recommend that completely. Bad in terms of gameplay, but incredibly engaging and hilarious.

I think you should pick up Binary Domain sometime. It's a cheesy Japanese version of Gears of War where you shoot machines instead of Orcs while trying to stomach half baked college humor. Cool game.
Resonance of Fate has an interesting combat system but the characters are so bland and the graphics look really ugly on HD screens. Probably looks fine on CRT. Still, a different game and a nice piece for the collection.
El Shaddai was visually stunning. But to be honest from when I played it in like 2012, the story is nonsense and the gameplay is varied, but repetitive. I’d say it’s worth $15, but definitely a game that looks better than it is haha. Great stuff John
