These cymbals sound great, especially for drummers that dont have much money but want good sounding cymbals that can be compared to the higher classes! I fell in love and I think im going to buy a ride, because it has a sound like the expensive cymbals. Also great video, buddy!
I'm already investing in the Classics Custom Duals! I'm in a pop punk band, and I've already had experience with the Classics Customs series. Amazing cymbals! They cut through mixes, loud guitars, and pretty much anything else. Meinl has tons of cymbal lines that provide amazing versatility for someone like me who plays a very cool genre of music. Loved these cymbals since I bought them. I can 100% tell everyone that the CC Duals will not disappoint!

It’s a bit surprising Meinl is only just now making these, given how long they’ve had the dual Byzance series out, and it just makes sense to blend the existing Classics Custom finishes. They sound sweet.
I actually just switched to these from Zildjian K's because I was tired of how much it costs to replace them and I was blown away by how good they sound. More than happy.
Great video and great sounding cymbals. Seriously considering buying a couple of these. I have the 19 inch Dark crash and it sounds great. Im an old drummer coming back after many years and it's a tough road but I'm having a blast and really enjoy jamming with friends again.
I bought the sixteen custom dual crash to replace my old hcs and it didn't disappoint. I use them in everything from my prog rock n blues band to Sunday morning worship these cymbals in my opinion could be used in any genre just according to how you play them great product I recommend them.
I think I like the sound of b12 cymbals over b20. I like the quicker decay. Although the soultone vintage b20 crash cymbals are incredible, they are also expensive as a Zildjian or Paiste.
Them cymbals are shiny ! That 16 inch trash is very nice with that quick decay, and the Bell on the ride sounds so good in that rap mix. PS: I really wanted to apply for that video editing position for a moment (would be hella fun), but I have some work to do to be able to produce to the quality of videos you have already set out. Maybe in the future I will apply as I love what DBO is all about: helping and progressing the drumming community! Hope you find someone who fits what you're looking for and that they enjoy themselves with the creative work ! Keep doing what you're doing Gabe, Shaya and everyone else involved with the DBO team !
I don't own any Meinl cymbals (I'm a big Sabian fan) but I have to say, these are probably the nicest sounding B12 cymbals I've ever heard, and I'm surprised how versatile they are between the styles you played. I wasn't sure what I'd think of them considering I'm not personally into the sound of the Byzance Dual cymbals but I was blown away by how awesome these sounded. If I were to buy a set of Meinl cymbals I'd definitely consider these for any situation where I'm playing those styles (though I play a lot more jazz and funk as well which might require something a bit more personal sound for he crashes and ride like some Byzance Jazz or Vintage cymbals, but the hi hats in the Classics Custom Dual line could still work for that). Very cool line!!
They honestly sound what cymbals sound like in my head. I have the hi hats and got them randomly with a trade with an old paiste china i had. I do want more of this set and love them. Cant wait to get the set
Awsome video I also attended my first rock festival September 9-12 at blue ridge rock festival and finally got to see I prevail live seeing you gabe and Luke Holland at the same show was absolutely amazing!
Ooooh I’ve been considering new cymbals lately but was having trouble deciding. I currently use the Custom Classic Darks, but they’re the entry level sizes, and they sometimes fall short on the sound I want. These seem like some good ones to smack around on 😌Perfect timing, thanks Gabe!
If I could give you any advice I would say do not buy one big set of cymbals, I would say find the ones you want and buy each one individually so you can mix and match the sound a little bit
@@Max-dd4ow thanks! That makes sense and definitely seems like the most feasible process to achieve what I want. I actually currently use a mix of the HCS and Darks bc I had the HCS first 🥴
I have the 19 inch crash in the CC Dark and love the way it sounds. Thinking of mixing in some of these Duals with some Fat Hats. Think that's the sound I want
@@ReecePlaysDrums_ after owning both now. I think I’d honestly get a mixture. If you’re purchasing the packs the get the HHX complex. But personally I like the HHX crashes, and the Meinl dual for the Ride and hihat. That’s what I would do
OMG u r back!!!!!! Time to have lesson🤓🤓🤓 Btw although am a big fan of Sabian, I pretty like these cymbals especially for rock stuff like BMTH and I Prevail
You could do a 30 inch Stagg super ride, Zildjian 21 inch Mega Bell Ride, Byzance 22" Jazz Tradition Flat Ride Cymbal AND A Byzance 22" Jazz China-Ride Cymbal
I didn’t really like the sound for I prevail. Didn’t sound loud enough and cutting through. Could just be my EQ preference. It sure did sounds absolutely amazing for the pop and Rap wow that gives me ideas! 🌀🔥🐝
I think they did well with the pop song. Not so much with the rap song. But I think a well versed drummer can mold any set of drums and cymbals into any genre. Just my opinion.
Try even the cheapest cymbals and play all these songs the same way, plus the editing the goes on behind cameras, you’ll pretty much hear the same thing.
Better in sound, and a bit more expensive for them to make. Of course with a lot of major companies they put Marketing and the Ratios from so many other endorsements in the overall price too. So that’s why a lot there are smaller companies with b20 cymbals a little cheaper too
The truth of the matter is no one’s going to be able to tell the difference between any of these medium to high-quality cymbals other than drummers and sound engineers.
@@AustinWestbro the rides sound good. I don’t particularly enjoy the hats, but my hats are much better quality. and the crashes personally aren’t my favorite, but still nice. All the efx are really cool though. Different cymbals for different people I guess🤷♂️
Fell in love with my 18" Dual Dark Crash.
It opens up like nothing Ive played before.
The rest of my cymbals are Pure Alloys and I love them too
I really hope that there will be a mega bell ride of this series in the future!
I would like to see Classics Custom Dual Cymbals vs. Byzance Dual Extra Cymbals lol

"don't have much money" - full cymbal pack is the same cost as A customs lol

do they have a decent sustain? I got Sabian Freq Crash, it looks like these ones. and it dies almost instantly

I’m pretty happy with my CC darks, but that splash might be up my alley…
Yeah the splash is sick
I am in love with the ride
Those cymbals sound great! They look very cool as well :)
Agreed!

That stack is a drum chop slice of heaven.
Haha yeah I actually really liked it!
I going to upgrade all of my cymbals from Zildjian to meinl, as it’s been a few years and I want a new sound. There’s just so many options!

Isn't this b10? I have some zildjian B12 hi-hats.
For me cc dual great too for gospel
Those cymbals were awesome, I wait for Gabe's signature cymbal series
Wait, is that actually happening? Or are you hoping it happens someday?
Dang that would be dope
Congrats on this man! Cheers!
I think cymbal/drum companies should get you to do videos for them. That was super! Esp that intro sequence!
Would be great if you did more of these videos with other series of cymbals, I wanna hear how different cymbals sound in a metal song mix
these cymbals sound and look awesome

Can you do a new video on your favorite cymbals ? I wonder if these will be replacing any byzance

Why is B20 more expensive? Is it better in sound, or it's harder to make? Here in Southeast Asia, B20 cymbals are pretty cheap.

Can this play jazz?
I don’t think they’d be ideal for jazz, I’d recommend b20 cymbals like the byzance jazz/foundry reserve for jazz
