definitely the Roland does not sound like an accordion, but it is something else. You can like it or not, but it has little to do with accordions. the sound most consistent with the accordion is that of the . Except for Roland all the others are pleasant to listen to.
yes i can clearly hear difference between the cheap ones and the higher priced ones although some sounding more similar than others, personally I would not go lower in terms of sound quality than than weltsmeister Ramona as clealy the sound was more dynamic and fuller compared to the previous ones.
For sure I can detect the difference: the most expensive have a more rounder sound. However I prefer the 200$ one as its sound is more vibrant (for me of course)

No entanto, o Stradella tem o charme do vibratto da canção francesa, mas não é o melhor som, por ser um pouco estridente. O Aelita é abafado, mas é mais grave. O Settimio Soprani satisfaz perfeitamente e tem um som muito equilibrado e pouco agressivo.
As the price increases, the grave notes are more muted, more pleasant to listen to. The less expensive ones have a very piercing pitch. It hurts the ears.

To tell the truth, I liked all of them. It's hard to really compare low end versus high end accordions, Especially when some are new, and some are old. The preferred sound changed over the years, and everyone has different tastes in what they should sound like, anyway. And, that's how it should be. Different strokes for different folks! Great video!
I don’t know why but the $200 one especially sounds the most enjoyable to me. It feels more like what you’d hear just walking down the street in some European city at night

I don't think it's a very fair comparison... the registers you're using are different for each accordion! Besides, it's notoriously difficult to tell the difference between such instruments if you're not playing them or listening from very close, and especially if you're listening from phone speakers
Each accordion has its own distictive sound, I can hear some improvement as you advance from cheaper to more expensive, there is definitely some improvement. The last one though, it sounds rather artificial, I do not personally like that sound. All the Weltmeisters sound gorgeous. Aquick question: What's that melody called? I heard it in Ameli, that movie with Audrey Tautou in it.
So true even among the same models. I have 3 Hohner Corona III’s that sound quite different, they have their own unique personalities. I must say my old german one is superior compared to my newer german one and my chinese one.
I have played accordion since I was 6 and a half and yes since over 55 years have gone by I can tell the difference of a higer end accordion. However, having said that the others would be fine for someone just learning or wanting to have some fun with a crowd. It is a very interensting instrument and I am so glad my dad gave me the chance to have learned how to play!
and this song was made for a small and simple accordion like a concertina so it stands to reason that the best timbre will be the timbre of a simpler accordion. That's why I say you can't compare a simple accordion with a big repair accordion

Słychać naturalnie różnice pomiędzy brzmieniem poszczególnych akordeonów, nie powiedziałbym że te instrumenty tańsze mają gorsze brzmienie. Moim zdaniem każdy akordeon podobnie jak i organy piszczałkowe mają swoją barwę dźwięku, każdy instrument gra trochę inaczej. Cały taki instrument składa się z mnóstwa piszczałek które bardziej lub mniej stroją,które różnią się barwą i w tej różnorodności jest bogactwo. Co do prezentowanych instrumentów to moim zdaniem najsłabiej wypadł ten ostatni najdroższy cyfrowy, słychać że jest to dźwięk syntetyczny, harmoniczna fal dźwiękowych nie jest wytważana przez zadęcie na piszczałkach tylko cyfrowo generowana przez impulsy elektromagnetyczne które poruszają membraną głośnika. takie cyfrowe instrumenty brzmią tak samo, jedyna różnica jeżeli zastosujemy inny zestaw głośników lub zmienimy nastawy filtrów eqalizera. Ale te dźwięki są stałe, zaprogramowane, w każdym egzemplarzu identyczne, w instrumentach piszczałkowych nawet zmiana wilgotności powietrza czy też temperatura mają wpływ na wytwarzane dźwięki.
I enjoyed the sound of the $4000 accordion. It seems to have a more harmonic sound to it than the others. My least favorite was the digital $6000 model.

I think that to find differences the prices increase very quick. It's the same between pianos from €3000 to €150.000. I think also that hear with a smartphone and in direct is not the same thing. 🎹
The $200.00 model has a nice French mustette quality. Cajun and zydeco players love that sound. I’d buy that squeezebox in a heartbeat! The others , not so much. Thanks for posting

Da come bisogna forzare il mantice ,dalla sensibilità delle voci al pianissimo e al fortissimo , dalla sensibilità della tastiera, dal gusto del suonatore alla corposità o dalla risposta acuta delle ance. Not a fan of German accordions. I own several Italian instruments with various reed combinations. I also own a Roland which I love. This video did not show the great versatility of the Roland which uses sampled sounds from many, many instruments. If I could have only one, it would be the Roland. Thank you very much, the performance was great and I know that this took a lot of effort.

The Roland is electronic and can offer the sounds of different accordion types. Also a smaller accordion with more bass knobs as usual. Also less weight.
The old Weltmeister Supita from GDR is an amazing instrument! But for me, the best Piano accordion will always be Guerrini Superior 2 President from 79-83! Or Settimio Soprani/Scandalli Artist VI/Super VI from the 50's!

I think what I noticed was the smoother sound as the quality increased. Not as much (if you will) tiny chatter. But I really saw nothing wrong w any of them.

Its because it was made in USSR, and many people like sound of this era more. Different materials, ways to make parts etc.

I think the last one (Roland) was a sample? It has MIDI, and it sounded like it had some reverb in the sound.

чутно металічне деренчання звукових пластинок у більш дешевих моделей. до 750$ майже однакове звучання.
Слухаю через телефон. Звук міняється, але різниця по якості не помітно. Думаю, наживо, то можна було і порівняти.
Вельтмейстер, чим дорожчий, тим краще, але ще краще, останній digital...
