@@cladiax1 I think Stonehenge was first used as an offensive weapon after Ulysses but switched to defending key strategic points in Erusia such as the solar power generator plant.
@@briarmason8737 You sure? I mean, I can barely remember Mobius being on Erusean occupied territory, not de jure land, the first time he came under their fire.
@@LuizAlexPhoenix This was before Mobius became active in the war. As said in the beginning of the game, Stonehenge was so effective in its power, range, and accuracy, it managed to push back the opposing forces all the way to North Point.
In the Legend, King Arthur drew excalibur on one of the battlefields, and the resulting glare of the Light shining off the sword was able to either blind or fell the Enemy who bore witness to its glare.
The fact that nobody has mentioned that this superweapon is fired *In Sync* with the sporadic, desperate soundtrack that plays when you try (and succeed) in destroying it is shocking! But to clue you up a bit: It's an 'on' 'off' beat synchronisation, also sporadic. And this is only the start the of the depth of symbolism portrayed in the Belkan war. The TL;DR Conclusion: Pixy was the *Only* person throughout the war that outright challenged the validity and morality of the events that unfold: But upon witnessing YOU destroy Excalibur, his mind is set. You are both the Embodiment of the problem (the demon of Razgriz, the spirit of war) - And the solution (you are ultimately fighting for *Peace* and Pixy trusts you the entire time, throughout the war). So he sets out to plan AWWNB, just to test your *trust* of him; and ask whether you'd be willing to leave the battlefield, if it turned out you had become the very thing you sought to destroy! And as you canonically spare him in the final moments of your duel, he realises that You Do Trust him aswell; And when Cipher Disappears - Pixy realises you have Answered his question, that you Are willing to forsake your part in war itself to deprive corrupt government/political agendas of their demonic superweapon of chaos - And for this, he ultimately thanks you in the documentary for *listening* to him, should you ever have the chance to see his recording. This is literally the reason he is involved in AWWNB, he doesn't join it; he - along with Wizard 1 - Starts it! But he isn't aligned with Wizards morality and demonstrates this when Wizard calls the detonation of the seven nukes Larry's 'Birthday' - Larry rebukes the idea, but still joins him anyway; he's just using him to set up your final duel with himself; Wizard is caught and imprisoned for his part in terrorism after the war, but Pixy isn't; You intentionally Shoot Wizard down over the round table, who is himself 'aiming for your cockipt', but when it comes to shooting down Pixy, you have a final chance to Kill him; and he the same opportunity to kill you, but you both refuse! So... Yeah. I mean it is just speculation, but if Pixy was truly aligned with terrosism why is he canonically painted as being free to explore the battlefield and Question Borders - when Wizard 1; the man who most definitely believed in the ideology of 'No Borders' himself winds up in a box? Shouldn't Pixy be right there with him? And why does HE act as if Cipher was his friend, and did something so special that Pixy (contrary to his portrayal of Cipher during their final duel) *Thanks* him openly on camera? He definitely isn't as stubbornly opposed to borders as Wizard 1, he doesn't even *join him in battle* in defense of terrorism Once, and he hints at his motivation throughout the entirety of the allies' invasion of Belka - even at the start! There is symbolism and openly posed questions intertwined throughout this entire game's plot; but i'm pretty certain about the symbolism and motivations of Pixy, Cipher and those who were operating Excalibur itself on this fateful and ultimately tragic mission. And this IS this TL;DR, I could explain a Waldreich Megaton of evidence portraying all parties in support of this idea, and end up with a novel; But this channel sums up Belkas innocence on one of his own videos and *I Think* that's enough to set the groudwork here. It isn't just Belka that's 'innocent', so is Pixy, and so are YOU! But you are the 1st incarnation of the demon of Razgriz and Pixy, in seeing this, sets out to free you; And succeeds! You are *never* seen again, And 15 years pass before the demon is reawakened in the events of 'The Unsung War - this time as a *true hero.* The end.
man I remember my firts time playing this mission, I was really scary and excited at same time, old memories, acecombat zero, 5 the unsung war and acecombat 3 electrophere were good ones, thanks for this videos, I being looking for this playthrough.
This mission is so god damm epic, im watching your playtrough on this game because i can't afford the game, you are a very impressive player and im starting to liking this game Sorry if my english is bad
I wonder how hard this game would be if played on a mobile phone with a PS2 emulator... More importantly though, the last UGBL to the Excalibur was a nice touch. 🤘
In real life i wonder if they could even get that close because a laser beam cant really miss and when it locks onto you its gonna gradually increase its intensity not just throw a beam at you.In the end its a game so yea.

this is the only time in ace combat that you destroy a purly defensive super weapon

Ya know, I noticed that the dialog in the older AC games were way cooler. The dialog in AC7 is a little corny haha

In real life, a squadron of B-2 spirits can destroy the excalibur.
That laser reminds me of Icarus from Die Another Day.
Best AC ever, better than AC5.
They satisfy different tastes, AC4 was the really shitty one.
SamVision I thought Zero and 5 were shitty. The AI in both clip right through the ground.
I love all of them. (Except the shitty assault horizon)
SamVision I can’t believe you’re insulting a game from 2001. Graphics were different then. Unbelievable

Any chance of doing more Ace combat Zero videos? Using different planes? (Su-25 and F-14D and F/A 18 where the three that i used the most.) :)

Used Mig-21 to clear this mission
