These analysts always wanna get someone fired. Right or wrong they like to over hype mistakes or so-called mistakes and focus on that to justify their calls for someone to be fired.
I'm sorry, I just don't agree with people saying the play calling was bad in that situation. First of all, they showed the analytics win probability and they say it was clearly higher going on 4th down, but it's only just 5% higher, it's not leaps and bounds higher. Second, they said why did he throw on 3rd down if he's not gonna go for it on 4th, well, first of all they caught the defense napping, thinking they would run the ball, and second it's not like he threw a bomb downfield, a risky pass, it was a simple short throw to a wide open receiver. You can't play Monday morning quarterback and call him a genius play caller if Saquon makes the catch and a bad play caller now that he didn't catch it. Lastly, the field goal made them have to move all the way down the field for a TD and not just kick a field goal that any decent kicker right now can make from close to 60 yards.
@@Jdcjr1991 Same here im not an egales fan but that decision cost them points and last time i checked whoever has the most points wins the game. Dude thinks the egales are that good to go for it on 4th and whatever those choices will get him fired
Siriani should be on the hot seat the eagles offense is one of the most in depth and complete offenses in terms player personnel and skill position if they don’t succeed he’s gone.
The risk of stopping the clock outweighs the play call. Giving your opponent extra timeouts and more time on the clock is a recipe for upset. Doesn’t matter what should have happened.
The play was the perfect play, with a perfect pass, in a perfect spot? So I'm not understanding why they keep questioning if it was the right play? The play wasn't the problem, saquon, not catching a super easy and uncontested ball, was the problem. Lastly, running, especially when the defense is expecting the run, would not have guaranteed yardage or the eagles keeping possession.
The defense was expecting the run on 1st and 2nd down and they gained 7 yards. Chances are they would have gained 3 yards on 3rd and 4th down. At the end of the day, you have to trust the strongest part of your team which is the offensive line and believe they can pick up the 1st. In the scenario that they don't pick up the first down, Atlanta starts with the ball inside their own 10-yard line with about 55 seconds and no timeouts. Likely not getting a TD and worst case scenario is overtime. Sirianni's play-calling brought in the scenario of losing the game in regulation.
Who cares?! The fact of the matter is that if the Eagles had done what ESPN says, and failed, Sirianni would still get slaughtered because he left the Falcons a FG away from OT and a coin flip aways from the W. Give me a break ESPN, please...
Nick Sirianni should have been fired from last year's losing streak. Sorry, but he's not ready to be a head coach based on his lack of situational awareness. He just doesn't have the experience or knowledge to be a head coach.
He's a terrible coach. One day, Eagles fans will see this if they don't already. There's only so many times coordinators can be blamed for the QB and coach.
If Barkley makes that catch to ice the game two things. These clowns have to nitpick another game to earn their overpaid salaries and second, the bookies don't clean up like they did. Waking up takes place when you handicap point spreads vs fantasy.
To flip that though that's the reason they made it to the superbowl he's unconventional if saquon catches that ball your praising nick, he just dropped the ball
My money is on Kamara and those zone blocking schemes, and not with the Eagles defense. I don't bet money though, so I'll bet my 1965 AC Cobra with a blown 427 signed by Carrol Shelby. Oh, no I won't. OK, I'll bet a bag of Planter's peanuts.

People quickly forget he coached them to a Super Bowl. Everyone needs to chill out, It’s 2 weeks in and if Saquon catches that easy pass we’re not having any of these convos. Not to mention there are 2 new coordinators this season, it takes time to adapt to new schemes.
Except it's not just two weeks. It's now 9 games in which a very talented team has gone 2-7 and they were blown out in 4 of those games. And one of those wins was a one-score game against the Giants. He needs to be gone if they lose against the Saints and Bucs in the next two weeks. They have a bye after the Bucs game and could switch it up then.
The best roster in nfl plus great coordinators coached them plus playing Daniel jones in playoffs and 49ers 5th string qb sirriani did absolutely nothing not even 1 %
@@ClarkeJay99 again, we’re not even having this convo if saquon catches that pass and they’re 2-0. No one was complaining about Sirianni 2 years ago when they made the Super Bowl run. We also can’t downplay how much of an impact it was losing both Steichen and Gannon, and it showed big time last year. I agree with the fact that if the eagles end up being 1-4 after these next few weeks, then we gotta start looking at coaching changes but to say it now is premature.
@@guidzz44 I get that, but this team hasn't looked right since the Super Bowl. My preference was to change it up in the off season, but understood why they kept him. But being 1-3 going into the bye week would likely cost him the job.
