Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

They needed to cut down the numbers in the herd. Since they were keeping so many babies and olive didn't live up to the expectations. She went to a new home with her daughters.

When a goat or any animal, (like my horse) used you as a scratching post it means they trust you Its so cute seeing Luna do that with you guys, it reminds me of my horse doing the same, I miss him but this video gives me good memories to remember ❤

Yep, it's a real thing. My big bay quarter horse, all 18 hands of him, would rub me to where he'd almost knock me down too. 😂
But I loved him so much & I miss him horribly! 😢

@@ariadne1696 Yep! My big ol baby, quarter- thoroughbred mix did that ever morning when I went to visit him. I thought he was tryna play but he just liked to use me as a scratching post, especially my back it was cute even if he almost knocked me over, now he runs happily in horse paradise above me 😊🤍

it is very similar to our gouda cheese, or edammer, which is also tasty, and both color the longer they lie, and taste more salty, a really proud Dutch women, with many years of cheese making skills, and still love it

Tatum and Lola are going to have fun in Colorado. As a Coloradan I can say that almost every day since mid April we have been getting rained on. I’m sure they’ll do fine in Colorado and have lots of new adventures. I’m excited to watch River and Lancelot continue to grow into big strong goats.
