  • In this video I attempt to resurrect a dead Makita DTD171 impact driver that was destined to meet the bottom of a bin. It had a problem with the control board and trigger. Both pretty expensive parts. Or so it would seem!
    Let's see what the Parkside 4V tool range and 5 euros on Aliexpress had to say about that!
    In the video you will find these Parkside tools:
    4v Screwdriver - www.lidl.de/p/...
    4v soldering iron - www.lidl.de/p/...
    4v rotary tool (NEW TOOL) - www.lidl.de/p/...
    Makita DTD171 - makita.in/prod...
    Parts used for the Makita project
    Control board and trigger - www.aliexpress...

    That head grinder you used to cut is one of best tools I bought in L. Very good presentation. And obvious knowledge and routine working.

      Thank you so much! In all honesty this is the first time I am attempting such a thing so I had no idea what I was doing nor any real hope that it would work. 😂 So it could have been a couple of hours in the video bin... not the first time unfortunately!

    Very cool video.And thank you for the real review of the rotary tool 🔥 In my oocal lidl in Bulgaria the price was 14 euro

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  3 месяца назад +1

      14 is a really solid price for this. I initially did not think it could do much with the 4V battery, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Granted this is my first rotary tool but it did everything I asked of it and that mode panel was a challenge but it handled it very well. Thank you for the recommendation it is a nice little tool! In fact I am really starting to like the 4V Parkside tools that I have tried.

    The problem with cheap tools is the trigger feel... I'm fixing my dead Makita with genuine one because of that. I have also wondered if it's possible to make gisam/onevan or whatever tool better with Makita genuine trigger for better feel.

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  3 месяца назад +1

      I don't think it is possible to do that on the Gisam. That said I have not attempted it, however it must be said that the electronics inside the Gisam are somewhere between regular Aliexpress and an actual Makita. Also you do have a point you do get a much higher quality with the genuine thing.

    • @wanderer7779
      @wanderer7779 3 месяца назад +1

      @@BrokeLifeEU It's worse if you use genuine thing for the last 8 years at work 😆. I'm definitely going to do motor swaps into Makita or triggers into gisam when i get a few dead ones!

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  3 месяца назад

      @@wanderer7779 The motor swaps are doable, the triggers looked a bit different, but O don‘t have a genuine Makita one to try on the Gisam unfortunately. That said I think the Gisam has better speed control than the Parkside 😅

    • @wanderer7779
      @wanderer7779 3 месяца назад

      @@BrokeLifeEU And gisam is garbage what does that make Parkside 🫠. Considering the price it's only worth it if you find a trash Makita somewhere...I wish i worked at a junkyard people throw away good stuff without even realizing the potential! I picked up a few times from junk corded tools just to fix the cable and have a good tool 😆

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  3 месяца назад +1

      @@wanderer7779 Parkside is possibly the cheapest brand you could reasonably get away with purchasing. Mainly because of the warranty. The quality is becoming worse by the month but at least you can return it if you don‘t like it. Not the same with Aliexpress/Temu etc, if you don‘t like the product in most cases you are stuck with it.
