So not as much money as big oil and coal gets yearly?

That's not known for a reason.
Will eliminate a lot of Union jobs.
@@francismarion6400 union jobs he says like there not subsidized by our tax dollars walmart is considered union
People making 100k cant afford homes, how can low income people afford homes and add solar panels?
Because the Democrats pay them to put them on their homes
Solar energy is clean energy and should be promoted as solar panels are more affordable for all.
Unless on a hail storm like a few weeks ago when a huge solar farm was destroyed. Solar Farms are put out in open land and are susceptible to being destroyed.
@@2olvets443 Hail storms don’t happen all the time. There is weather dangers to all sorts of energy source’s, wind , oil and gas production etc. They are floods, hurricanes etc. so it is not just one industry that is affected.
@@Toto-cl8rw they happen quite frequently where they want to put them, at least here in the US. Granted major storms effect other sources productions, however there is stores for them, other than wind power. Solar is only good for daylight output and no storage on large scale.
To believe the rhetoric they are putting out that it would mean savings to the consumer is idiotic.
@@2olvets443 We will see. The solar panels are not yet installed from this project. All I am saying is it is now the time to get off oil and gas 100% . Global warming will affect coming generations, and climate change is already here. Any new forms of clean energy is a good idea.
Solar panels can’t be recycled. They’re buried in landfills sounds pretty clean to me.😂🤣😂🤣
Oh boy, if we keep drawing energy from the sun, it might get tired....

Dang. Could have spent that money on bombs.
He NEVER runs out of OUR MONEY to give to Netanyahu
We need sustainable energy production. i.e. energy production that can be sustained... when the sun goes down, the wind stops blowing, and the subsidies dry up.
Nuclear power
I like Solar Panels but there is a problem, we had a hail storm in Texas that wiped out an entire solar panel field, they entire field was destroyed and requires total replacement, they also do not work during Ice Storms.
Locations that have hail that bad should be avoided for solar but that never happens in the dry west deserts, or make them tracking with vertical capability
Putting solar panels in a place prone to massively destructive hail storms is not very smart... I guess it makes sense this was in Texas
Solar panels can be built to withstand up to 3 inch hailstones at more than 88 mph.
How is this not insider trading again if they preinvested money before passing such bill?
Nah nah, this is somehow inexplicitly different.
Insider trading or not id rather they do it with solar panels than big oil
@rennoc6478 yeah, but they tried to sell everyone a dream with the " electric car " deal. But I'm an electrician and I know for a fact they didn't have the infrastructure to charge said cars, and the battery banks normally start going bad after 5 years and that it's really expensive to fix, then there's the electric motors that go bad. In short, these people who buy into this in the name of climate change aren't very smart. Gasoline will still be here for a while, including diesel, and farting cows 🐄...as you can probably tell, I'm no fan of democrat or progressive idiotic policies.
@@shanewinters3121 electric cars are a WAYYYY different story than solar panels

Another worthless pathetic investment. We lost billions upon billions on the last solar panel investment and this is another flop.

They need to do something with the world's largest number of coal power plants. Maybe they will build more..

We've given more than $120 billion to the nuclear industry which has been around for most of a century and still can't survive on it's own.
@@kenofken9458they never gave it a chance.
Yeah, most of it will go to Chinese companies who manufacture those solar panels
Well, until American companies can manufacture panels as competitively as China does it makes sense to just buy them from China. According to a December 2023 report by Wood Mackenzie, China's solar panel production costs are 60% lower than the US's. China's production cost is 15 cents per watt, while the US's is 40 cents per watt. - Reuters

7 billion dollars????? American tax payers money??? Or the federal government money???? 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
What’s the difference
All you have to do is use a solar panel in sunlight and capture energy.
You must be a little bit impressed that humanity has developed technology similar to photosynthesis.
Windmills, or basic turbines, have been around for years. Tesla was able to harvest energy for electricity with Niagara Falls.
Humanity advances when we develop more simple solutions.
A solar panel getting its self-tan means less work for me AND more economic independence from other countries…?
Why wouldn’t we choose the self-sufficient and sustainable energy option?

Why do only poor people get help with solar?
Nuclear energy produces more power per sq meter.

My family and I lost our house during covid-19 under Joe's watch. Now, we live in a fifth wheel and are considered "unhoused." I do the best I can, and I sure wish those solar panels, batteries and hybrid inverter chargers were available to us poor people living below the poverty level. It would keep me from running this 9500 KW gas generator, paying these outrageous fuel prices, and single-handedly destroying the climate over the state of California. But, Biden don't care for those of us who really need those Solar Systems.
don't blame biden for your bad life decisions.
I'm really sorry to hear you lost your house. I wish that they had incentives for you all as well. It's not fair. Have you tried looking into setting up your own solar and battery system? I haven't done it myself, I've heard from a lot of people that it Can be much more affordable even if you owned your home still paying someone to set it up for you and I hear it's not super complicated but I'm not sure. I'm sorry you've gotta keep your generator going.

What’s bro on about
America's most powerful geopolitical rival is China and regarding this adversary the United States has leadership in three of four strategic technologies, namely semiconductors and their manufacture, biotechnology and artificial intelligence. In the fourth strategic technology, renewable energy, China has a leadership position. U. S. domestic policy on all energy fronts has been to decouple from all carbon based energy sources. The forces of such policy will result in strategic vulnerability to China, whether is is dependence on imported elements of infrastructure such as solar panels or finished products, most notably the soon to appear low priced electric vehicles from China. These vehicles are likely subsidized by the Chinese Communist Party and the net result will be additional unemployment in the U. S. automobile industry.
America needs solar cells on the roof of every car truck and bus to inflate the price of unaffordable electric vehicles.
Lemme guess China panels greased palms
Maybe look up American companies that manufacture solar panels, huh?
Send it to nuclear fusion research instead, and hopefully it will be used well.
no, Tesla coils, no more need for copper wire crossing the country.

Solar is the cheapest electricity source on earth!
It is the cheapest with zero subsidies
Nuclear is far more expensive than solar. At least three times as much on a levelized cost basis.
The two newest units built in the country at Vogtle took 15 years and $35 billion to complete. It was the most expensive infrastructure project of any kind in this country.
Solar is literally the cheapest kind of energy per kilowatt hour, its just initial installation costs are super high
@@kenofken9458
Dude, 1 nuclear power plant can produce more electricity than a 1000 acres of solar panels.
How is that cheaper ?
I'd need 4 acres of panels to power the shop I work in on a sunny day. How can that possibly be cheaper ? Solar isn't sustainable nor is it cheaper.
You're delusional.
We'd need to cover almost all the desert in the southwest of this country to cover the electricity used in Las Vegas and Phoenix alone...
