After mixing both do i still need to leave it overnight? Sorry am asking all these questions. I prepare and sell in a big office for some Years now. But it seems this method is better than what i do. So am thinking of changing to this your method, the reason for asking questions.
Thanks for the detailed video. Please was it the two separate grounded kunu you left to ferment or the one with potatoes and did you later add sugar?. Thanks
Weldone ma...quick question 1. When you pour hot water into the millet and Guinea corn mixture, was it the next day you added the potato, ginger and glove mixture? 2. Was it the next day you remove the chaff off all the mixture with the cloth? Thanks
@@ukfamilyshow ok ma .how many days can it last in the fridge b4 it's spoils.i also learned that it get watery when it's more than 3 days is it true? Lastly, what's the best way to preserve it for commercial purpose thanks for for answers.God bless you ma.
@@mojilana7213 it can last for one week in the fridge or freezer, if you mix it ticker, it will remain like that, so its your mixture that matters. Thank you Ma
UK this is great experience. I really learnt a lot in the making of this kunu. I will definitely try it out. Can't wait to see the tiger nut content. Keep it up❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I tried the above method but was not thick a bit watery tho the taste is fine. The potatoes taste and ginger come out. The color just like what you did but watery sort of. Pls how i prepare it thick.
My customers complain is light or watery compared to what i do before. It seems the texture i made is more of pap,so making the real kunu now is bringing issues .I sell in one bank. Maybe i should continue with the method i use before to retain customers. I can't be explaining change of method. Madam what will you suggest for me?
This is a detail and different preparation from what i was taught. I do mix millet and white corn with ginger, cloves dry pepper and other spices. I sell in the office for more than 5yrs with no complaints with the method i use. I will first try this method personally and compare before making for sell. This method makes the kunu look like tigernut texture.
If you add the Two mixture together before you pour hot water, then it will not form Ma, because the other mixture with potatoes is supposed to ferment on it own, while the millet alone is form when you pour water

After mixing both, you only filter it and start drinking and store the rest in your fridge

A question- the potatoes mixture and grinded grains MUST both ferment overnight before mixing together the following day?
Yes Ma, they have to ferment well

2. Was it the next day you remove the chaff off all the mixture with the cloth?
Thanks
Yes , Ma the next day morning Is when I added the mixture of potatoes, ginger, cloves, then you wash it
Like how many hours must the mixture stay before pouring into the grinded millet?
It can stay for 6 hours to 8 hour or if you prepare it in the Evening, the next morning, you can mix all of them together. Thank you very much Ma 🥰💖

Next time you do it , don't add too much water Ma, it will be ticker

Yes 👍🤚 it gives it the best kunu & taste you want
But what if i add the potatoes mixture when the millet is not yet cold? Will it still be okay?
As long as it is fermented, it will be ok Ma. Thank you
I noticed is settling with water on top . Have i added too much water?
Yes you can shifter out some of the water that is on top , when it is settled. Thank you
How many hours was it left to fermented?
You can keep it over Night or 12 hours
Pls ma how many quantity of milliet, guinea corn, and hot water you used for making this kunu
You can use the quantity you desire Ma
Please why can't you add the mixture together and pour hot water at once? Mine refused to form
If you add the Two mixture together before you pour hot water, then it will not form Ma, because the other mixture with potatoes is supposed to ferment on it own, while the millet alone is form when you pour water
