      It sure is, my favourite pedal I've seen in a long time - I got put onto it looking for a feedback pedal for noise rock/shoegaze, I love those almost broken, radio interference sounds - I'd absolutely LOVE to see you demo one of these on your harp one day (edit- I see you already have after finishing the video! Nice one! guess that's where I'm headed next!) - as someone's said to you before, bring on the harp-gaze! 😅👍
      I love your demos/videos btw, it's nice to bump into you here so I could say something that won't get drowned in the sea of replies you rightly get! 👍💙

    I bought an old transistor radio from a charity shop for 3 dollars. I plugged it in a reverb through the headphone input and then into the low sens input of my amp. I plug my guitar in the high sens input of the same amp and get amazing results. Running the radio through other pedals[ ring modulators, low pass filters, bit crushers and so on] give me great results with pedals i already own and wouldn't spend time witn so as to familiarize myself with them and get the most out of them, if i kept buying every novelty pedal that was released no matter how good it is, or no matter how much i think i need it.

    • @CyberattackWorld

      good ears, yeah that was some very cool and unexpected side effect of the pedal. Even though I dialed out most of its FM radio weirdness for the Slayer song, that weird thing still crept in. It's possible you could lose it with a lower setting on the Shift knob, but I was really into it.

      @@CyberattackWorld Definitely man - subbed right after viewing! I don't doubt that it was a challenge to put that section together, but I would definitely point people interested in what this pedal actually does to your video, so kudos.
      Did you ever try the Barbershop overdrive from FC? I've had one for a few years and love it. Wondering how similar the JFET drive here is to that one (for context, I've been running my acoustic with passive soundhole pickup into ODs and fuzzes trying to find my favorite "blown our preamp with tape saturation" recreation)

    • @CyberattackWorld
      @CyberattackWorld  Год назад +1

      @@ben_moy thanks dude. I did end up getting a Barbershop after this video and I'm a big fan. I think it's definitely similar to the Roger That, but even when the Roger That is set to be as stable as possible, it still has some extra weirdness and motion that the Barbershop doesn't. But I would say they're related. I spend some time talking about the Barbershop in this video if you're curious: ruclips.net/video/Mpc9tCnP7Bo/видео.htmlsi=j5GCCskST8E5ZCe6

      @@CyberattackWorld Very helpful - thanks so much! Great tip about thickening things up with multiple tracks -- even those high gain monsters like Corgan got the massive sound by layering guitars more than cranking gain. I still never would have expected Slayer with a Barbershop--that was sick. I was peeping the ~900 fuzz from FC, too, but I honestly think my cheapo DOD Carcosa covers the amount of "hair" I want.. I think Roger That would be a funky overdrive live and a noisemaker on records.. Thanks again!

    • @TobiasC-mg4zk
      @TobiasC-mg4zk Год назад +1

      The four eyes crossover fuzz is sadly discontinued. It’s my favourite fuzz of all time. It’s a multiband clipper that allows you to adjust clipping in separate frequencies. Your input signal is split into separate frequencies and remixed after you set the amount of clipping on each frequency. A sweep pot allows you to adjust/set the eq resonance for a huge expanse of frequencies. This pot is also CV controllable so it can be used as a mutant wah. Hopefully they reissue this unit. It’s worth hunting a used one down.

      It really is doing the frequency modulation (and demodulation), but nothing ever travels anywhere as a radiowave through the air, nor is there a tiny antenna anywhere inside the pedal, so nothing is being broadcast in that sense.
