I fail to understand the point of extruding to a consumer-sized spool, unless your operation is boutique .... makes much more sense to spool on an industrial scale, and either wholesale or re-spool to smaller sizes seperately.

Well all fancy stuff , you can make your own filament maker under 100$ it will slow but useable you can also use recycled plastic to make filament. The cost of virgin PLA granules is 1.5$ per KiloGram and the cost of PLA filament on Amazon is 10$ people are money hungry so i made a small filament machine seeing a video on youtube
