I think the so-called Hokkien Pengs were from 1967 to around 1974. I belong to this bracket years of NS. During my NS years, many of time were dropped out from primary schools, and others had tattoos on their bodies. My platoon cmdr had to speak in Hokkien during lessons and trainings and luckily he is a Chinese.
I remember my unit had their own version during the 12th PERSCOM celebration. It was sung and played by a fellow NSF. It was definitely worth a treasured memory. 🥲
