+Berry Berriess The graphics for tv shows are often much lower because it takes time to create light and render. As a 3D animator myself, 1 frame of beautifully lit animation can sometimes take up to several hours to render (ie, disney movies). I'm sure the one for the promo was a money shot so they took their time to render it properly. Still, im really loving the show tho.
1. They only had a month to make it so it was obviously rushed some which helps but 2. Just judging by it my guess is it’s target is a Western style show and a lot of them the first season is sort of slow but as the show progresses it gets faster and more exciting like SVTFOE, Steven Universe, etc. Season 2 is already a lot more progress. Obviously still not not super charismatic but it’s said that Season 3 is going to be huge. 3. It’s obviously a kids show so you sort of have to go in with low expectations. All else aside I still think it’s an enjoyable show as long as you don’t over analyze it.
SlurrrPei yeah season 2 is a big improvement on season 1. They’re obviously both great, but I feel like there’s a lot more plot in season 2 rather than just the repetitive *person gets akumatized, they save the day* aspect. They obviously still do that, but there’s more of a story now I feel like.

@@aileengunadi4840 If you look closely at the Miraculous box, the Ladybug represents the Yin of the Yi Ching in the center whereas the Black cat represents the Yang of the Yi Ching. The other 5 creatures that are not in the 12 Chinese Zodiac represent the 5 elements namely Fire, Earth, Wood, Water and Metal. The Bee represents Earth. With the colors of that part of the box you should be able to figure out which element the rest of those creatures each represent.
I like the ML being shown right now, but seriously now that I have seen the potential of what it could have been, I'm kind of disappointed. This teaser promised a thrillingly epic, uniquely sweet, and somehow haunting story. I would have watched that show just for the pure design of the characters and how they moved! There's a personality that got lost in the translation of these ideas to the actual show. I hope that one day, we can gain ourselves a reboot with the original concepts behind it. Just because it's a show for kids, does not mean that it has to be watered down.
I completely agree. Although we have to acknowledge that that level of animation costs a lot of money and rendering would take forever. They would need huge success for the show in order to pay off all of that (and make a profit!) But hey, we can dream 😊
can we talk about the animation quality in the preview clips like MY GOODNESS WHAT HOW I love the way ML turned out, but the animation was slightly hindered by the quick release. That being said, Im dying for more so I'm happy it came out so quickly and can't wait for season 2 :) imagine if one day in the distant future, they went back and reanimated the series (or, more realistically, made a movie) featuring the quality of animation seen here? I might have an animation-love-induced heart attack :P
Two years later you have a huge fandom, on their toes for the next episodes! You captivated a wide range of audience, and you inspired a whole generation, of children growing up to see a female super heroin who surpasses our expectations, and not only have you caught the interest of children, self proclaimed adults are watching the show too, and it all started with a simple and empowering idea! I can't wait to see what this show grows to become, also I can't wait to see Luka! I've already seen Kegami though!
Its 2 years from now, and there is now a huge fandom, cosplayers ranging from children to adult watching and waiting for more, even little boys and men are watching. Lots of people getting inspired by the show.
Damn... I remember watching this when I first got into miraculous. I remember the excitment I felt for this concept. And watching the first few episodes felt so new and exciting cause I'd never seen anything like it. I hoped this show would introduce me to aspects if France and romance and superheros. And now, all these years later, it seems like all of that was forgotten and lost the original charm. Do you think the people who made this show, their past selves, would be proud of what they have made today?
I think directors has been changed, so maybe these people aren't working for the show anymore? And yes as you said,it lost its own charm. Even its concept is different now. The more they write episodes, the worse we get i guess
Perhaps. I guess it depends on whether or not their vision for the show has been met, but as someone who's been a loyal fan for years I have to agree that the quality of writing and animation has taken a nose-dive. I won't say it's gone down the gutter just yet- there's still the ghost of what it was that has the potential to live up to it's past glory. For now, I guess we just have to wait and see.

París Arts Agreed. Season 2 is more focused on their story, and discovering more about their powers and feelings. The episodes link better than in season 1, and I find myself more excited waiting for the next episode!!!
thats the lowest reason. I watched the preview interview for miraculous. The main reason is that the animators could keep up with ladybugs spots since its a action anime and she moves around a lot. it made people motion sick looking at it. there were also many errors and complications in general with it to begin with which is why they resorted to low budget animation. @@francescop.c.3298

I gotta say I like the Adrien they went with in the end HE'S NICER TO MARINETTE AND ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT HIS FRIENDS AND OTHERS. I just wanna punch the other one in the face and tell him flat out that Marinette is Lady bug and show him proof and see how he treats her then.
Wow , these concepts are 100x better than the actual show , the show is so dull with the low budget it only makes it more soulless , and the fact that it took 5 seasons to start a story building season
Ah, I remember being so excited for this show way back when I saw this video. Then season 1 came out, and I couldn't believe it was the same thing because of how formulaic it was. So I can appreaciate that it actually has an overarching plot now and higher stakes. Even if the character development is still all over the place.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Adrien we have now and the show they went with, and Adrien and Marinette’s relationship. But K think it would have been really sweet to see the original Adrien grow as a person and slowly fall for Marinette and just watching their friendship develop…I really love redemption arcs and watching characters becoming better people
So many great concepts, and they abandoned them to appeal to the style so many kids shows these days do! If you wanna be special you have to show it. The most successful cartoons in America aren't nearly as generic as what is currently airing in Korea. I know they want this to last so there isn't much characterization in the first five episodes but... man.
Dude, I'm with you, I saw what they were originally going for and I loved it..but then they scrapped most of the ideas. Hopefully, if they go through with the animation version, they will redo it so it involves the more deeper elements and is aimed at teens, not kids.
i think it will go deeper in next seasons because it was actually intended for kids but now that they know teenagers watch this too i hope they make it a little more darker and deeper
I actually agree, but one correction. The blue hair is intentional, it is a callback to how comic book superheroes with black hair always had blue highlights. Look up any older comic book photo of Wonder Woman or Superman. Their hair had blue in itZ
Fey Griffith Exactly the concept art and shorts are amazing and I have so many ideas for what the show could’ve became. I can only hope for some kind of reboot that ups the rating to at least PG-13 so we can get into some darker tones and more in-depth characters and plot

I'm seeing this in 2022 and just love how they were confident about this. And this show really became so popular! I always drag this show in our chat and I have made almost 5-6 people a fan of miraculous ladybug! This show is truly MIRACULOUS! I've been watching this show since 2015 and I wish I have seen this in 2012 already.
I am a huge fan of Magical Girl shows and this is definatly a more unique one compared to others: Marinette has similar personality and quirks most magical girls have, but she has more to her character and we actually see what she wants to do: be a fashion designer. Most magical girls just want to be an idol at least she has something else she wants to do. Plus the concept of her hero alter ego is cool too a ladubug is considered good luck and that makes sense for her powers. I like Adrien becuase of his character overall, we don't have many male Neko characters, Adrien is more involved in the plot as most magical boys are just on the sidelines. And finally, this show has unique side characters, usually a magical girl show has their side characters appear once or twice and don't do anything. At least these characters have some unique characteristics and they stand out and actually are involved with the story one way or another. Yes i know this was long but I had to share this with everyone on why i love this show so much

It's so crazy! Like the previews look really polished and amazing! Like it'll be a movie or something. Then there's the show. The animation is still good, but you have to admit, it's less detailed and kind of generic??? (I guess is the word?) I hope if they do get popular enough to have a movie, it'll have that great animation quality again!
I'm glad they ditched "Félix" to be honest. It seems like he was going to be an anime cliché: taciturn, a loner and a douche to the heroine's attentions. And I didn't like his design either... kinda reminded me of Seto Kaiba from Yugi-Oh! Quite the unpleasant feeling. I love how Adrien is in comparison: despite being rich and a model, he's nice, humble and open, always moving forwards. So refreshing ! Same with the old Marinette: seems like she was going to be a pushy, loud and lovestruck heroine, kinda like Sailor Moon (I've always loved Sailor Moon, but even I have to admit she got annoying sometimes). While the Marinette we know now, is clumsy in a funny way and feels just... I don't know, "natural". And I love that. She's so lovely. This series is a breathe of fresh air, really. I could go on and on.There are still some cliché characters though but it doesn't bother me as much as it should, since the main heroes are so different and unique. That's some good character depth here. Please keep it up, you guys ! You're doing a fantastic job so far !
adrien is still nice even though he doesn't get any attention from his father and his life isn't that great he's lonely but what i like even though it's like this he didn't end up being a jerk like the cliché loner jerk guy

That first scene at 0:00 is amazing! I like the 3D animation! If Zagtoon stuck to that animation and the quality Miraculous rn in 3D would be the hit! I still like the 3D version now...
Felix/Adrien was treated badly his whole life. That would make a lot of sense for him to be cold blooded unlike Adrien being kind and friendly. Marinette/Bridgette was confident to confess her love for Felix even if he rejected her a lot. At least she’s not a creepy stalker like Marinette. Also, ladybug and cat noir are not popular superheroes back in the earlier concepts, they were instead an “urban legend” because they fight in the shadows. When cat noir’s hair flaps over him when he transforms, he looks different. That way, no one would be able to recognize him. Why did they have to cancel those concepts?
I don’t like the way they wasted heroes’ potential and made them more cliched that they supposed to be. Mari-Bridgette and Félix were more interesting personages that Adrian and Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Same I saw the trailer back when I was 8 and presumed it was a dumb show for toddlers I watched it as a joke and the episodes that captivated me were volpina and ladywifi and now here my ass is hoping for more lore and waiting for the next season
I honestly like this original design but I'm in to that dark mysterious stuff I also like felexes character everyone else doesn't but I like Adrien 2 I really like both designs of the show but I would like to see the original design in action
"this will be singularly one of the most important girls project that we work on over the next five years" today is the 'next five years' and season 4 is coming really soon. But let me tell you, all of the episodes and specials (or seasons) was yet THE MOST INTERESTING EVER. All those love squares and love triangles too, with the action, the connection, all of the things that involves the series are THE BEST. Even teens and adults still watch the show (well some of them)
Maybe it's very hard to do an animation like in 0:20 and they just went to simplify things fir everyone. The animation from 0:20 and 1:19 seems also to belong from a movie/film(???) 😄
The creator really put a lot of idea into this and I just love it how they wanted to make the characters relatable for teens that's just amazing in my opinion ❤
I am very proud of the work and dedication they put the show into. Many other artists never really put all of their work into stuff, especially for kids this generation. One of the reasons why I love ML is because of the storyline. They give hints and clues about the next episodes and helps you figure things out as you go along. There is a subtle pattern I found while watching the show, which is very fun trying to see who is going to be akumatized next. (I also love how they mislead things as well. Lukanette? Adrianette? Which will be canon?) I am proud of the staff and workers who are working on the show. I'm sad it wasn't as amazing as the clips they showed us, and the animation form they were intending to use, but I like graphic design shows. It sort of helps me feel like the show isn't just for kids. (It reminds me of RWBY. I love that show).

When I watched Miraculous Ladybuy for the first time, it made me realize that everyone can become a total game changer and reprogram everything and that even one person can make a massive change with limitless possibilities, but only when they're doing the right thing and take responsibility for their actions. Every time I watch Miraculous Ladybug, I always get a warm feeling or even a cold feeling as I was reborn countless times with such sensation. Finally, Miraculous Ladybug had taught me endless moral values and is a very educational animation, for instance, it taught me the meaning of and appreciate the life that I've been given and most importantly, all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing. You guys who put all of your blood, sweat and tears into this animation, you are all Miraculous!
When my friend said about Ladybug to me I was like "Miraculous Ladybug? I hate super-heroes things! Ok, if I try out u will stop anoyng me with this?" And when I finished the first episode I was like "OMG I NEED MORE!" and now i'm a big fan of Miraculous!

I would honestly love to see the anime version of this come to life instead of that low-budget, half-rendered CGI mess of repetitive traits with lack of progression. Imagine the beautiful quality of it, how it would have gained as much success as Spy X Family and My Hero Academia.

I will have you know this is the one and only superhero thing I will watch or even remotely associate myself with. Most superhero shows have very shallow boring and generally annoying and aggravating main characters but mlb has characters I love and care about deeply, even if I don't relate much to them. Most superhero girls are either way too serious and boring or way too childish and non-serious, I get the feeling when I watch these things that production companies think that only young children and adults will watch a girl superhero show. But mlb is more of a tweens/teens show, which is amazing! It has, in my opinion, the perfect balance of serious, funny, romantic, ridicilous, cool, relatable, and realistic! I am SO thankful to all the people responsible for this incredible masterpiece and I hope this show goes on as the amazing show it is today and I hope other companies will notice that this SELLS and make more incredible shows that inspire like this. (I have literally now been on a mlb fix for over 2 months now and I can't stop)
In this video ladybug seemed a great project, they have the ability to do something better, I do not say that the series is bad but needs improvement, before the CGI animation looked better, Marinette looked much better with black and not bluish hair, in that version looks much more realistic, and for the chapter of origins would have preferred the concept of Marinette finding the miraculous in the abandoned house (4:30), I would like it to be as it looks in conceptual art, I would have preferred it to be an anime, to summarize I prefer almost everything of how looked ladybug in this video. :"v

star and orion It would be hard because of budget reasons; ESPECIALLY if it was anime. And don’t be fooled, CGI is cheaper and a lot easier than 2D. In a way, it’s just lazier. Plus, for some reason they think that people will buy into these shows if everything is CG and more realistic. Not sure why, but that’s that..
When you watch miraculous ladybugs first seasons, you can tell that it's a kid show. The episodes have no real order, which means there's no plot development, it repeats the same formula over and over again, etc. This is fine, because it was meant to be a kids show, but theirs definitely a very large demographic of teens watching it, including me. I think that they could do a lot with the show if the realized that older kids were starting to watch, and it'd make the show really good. I watched the new episodes in season 3, and I was pleasantly surprised. There was major events taking place in almost all of the episodes. However, there was still no real order to the episodes, and I feel like the story will be hard to follow in the further as the plot thickens. I also would LOVE to see some improvements to the animation. Some people like how it is now, but I would fully support a full revamp to the style, or just a major improvement to the current one (Personally, I would prefer hand drawn animation than computer generated. I know it would take more time but I think it would be soooo worth it) Miraculous ladybug is already I pretty cool show, and it has an awesome concept, but I think it could improve a lot an attract even more people to watch it. Miraculous ladybug couldn't have been a better animated serie. I love it the way it is ; Adrien, Marinette, Chloe, Gabriel,Alya,Tikki,plagg ect :Everyone is perfect! I'm 18 years old and I never really thought of adoring some cartoon as much as this. The fandom is also part of it ! Haven't any of them heard about Wonder Woman? Sailor Moon? Black Widow? they claim this to be the "first female superhero serie" and it actually isn't true, at all. I love this series and I have watched it since it aired, but this is not a "first time thing" in the powerful and heroic women comics/series.

I’m glad that they changed Adrien into who he is today. I definitely wouldn’t have liked the early version of him. That being said, I do wish they would’ve kept the teen audience they originally intended for. I love the show now but I feel like the only thing it’s missing is more of a mature feel. I think that would’ve made the show explode onto the scene rather than creep there like how it did
The key point in this whole pv is "a hero by night". Yuupp. Night scenes would make the animation looked so good. The candle in front of eiffel tower scene?? It's just so beautiful. Lightings oh lightings. But yeah. Rendering 😥😥😥

I completely agree. Although we have to acknowledge that that level of animation costs a lot of money and rendering would take forever. They would need huge success for the show in order to pay off all of that (and make a profit!)

I love the way ML turned out, but the animation was slightly hindered by the quick release. That being said, Im dying for more so I'm happy it came out so quickly and can't wait for season 2 :) imagine if one day in the distant future, they went back and reanimated the series (or, more realistically, made a movie) featuring the quality of animation seen here? I might have an animation-love-induced heart attack :P

Damn... I remember watching this when I first got into miraculous. I remember the excitment I felt for this concept. And watching the first few episodes felt so new and exciting cause I'd never seen anything like it. I hoped this show would introduce me to aspects if France and romance and superheros. And now, all these years later, it seems like all of that was forgotten and lost the original charm.

I guess it depends on whether or not their vision for the show has been met, but as someone who's been a loyal fan for years I have to agree that the quality of writing and animation has taken a nose-dive. I won't say it's gone down the gutter just yet- there's still the ghost of what it was that has the potential to live up to it's past glory. For now, I guess we just have to wait and see.

The main reason is that the animators could keep up with ladybugs spots since its a action anime and she moves around a lot. it made people motion sick looking at it. there were also many errors and complications in general with it to begin with which is why they resorted to low budget animation. @@francescop.c.3298

Ah, I remember being so excited for this show way back when I saw this video. Then season 1 came out, and I couldn't believe it was the same thing because of how formulaic it was. So I can appreaciate that it actually has an overarching plot now and higher stakes. Even if the character development is still all over the place.
That animation in the beginning was GORGEOUS
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Adrien we have now and the show they went with, and Adrien and Marinette’s relationship. But K think it would have been really sweet to see the original Adrien grow as a person and slowly fall for Marinette and just watching their friendship develop…I really love redemption arcs and watching characters becoming better people

The most successful cartoons in America aren't nearly as generic as what is currently airing in Korea. Dude, I'm with you, I saw what they were originally going for and I loved it..but then they scrapped most of the ideas. Hopefully, if they go through with the animation version, they will redo it so it involves the more deeper elements and is aimed at teens, not kids.

I am a huge fan of Magical Girl shows and this is definatly a more unique one compared to others:
Marinette has similar personality and quirks most magical girls have, but she has more to her character and we actually see what she wants to do: be a fashion designer. Most magical girls just want to be an idol at least she has something else she wants to do. Plus the concept of her hero alter ego is cool too a ladubug is considered good luck and that makes sense for her powers.
I like Adrien becuase of his character overall, we don't have many male Neko characters, Adrien is more involved in the plot as most magical boys are just on the sidelines.
And finally, this show has unique side characters, usually a magical girl show has their side characters appear once or twice and don't do anything. At least these characters have some unique characteristics and they stand out and actually are involved with the story one way or another.

I'm glad they ditched "Félix" to be honest. It seems like he was going to be an anime cliché: taciturn, a loner and a douche to the heroine's attentions. And I didn't like his design either... kinda reminded me of Seto Kaiba from Yugi-Oh! Quite the unpleasant feeling. I love how Adrien is in comparison: despite being rich and a model, he's nice, humble and open, always moving forwards. So refreshing !
Same with the old Marinette: seems like she was going to be a pushy, loud and lovestruck heroine, kinda like Sailor Moon (I've always loved Sailor Moon, but even I have to admit she got annoying sometimes). While the Marinette we know now, is clumsy in a funny way and feels just... I don't know, "natural". And I love that. She's so lovely.
This series is a breathe of fresh air, really. I could go on and on.There are still some cliché characters though but it doesn't bother me as much as it should, since the main heroes are so different and unique. That's some good character depth here.

Felix/Adrien was treated badly his whole life. That would make a lot of sense for him to be cold blooded unlike Adrien being kind and friendly. Marinette/Bridgette was confident to confess her love for Felix even if he rejected her a lot. At least she’s not a creepy stalker like Marinette. Also, ladybug and cat noir are not popular superheroes back in the earlier concepts, they were instead an “urban legend” because they fight in the shadows. When cat noir’s hair flaps over him when he transforms, he looks different. That way, no one would be able to recognize him. Why did they have to cancel those concepts?

today is the 'next five years' and season 4 is coming really soon. But let me tell you, all of the episodes and specials (or seasons) was yet THE MOST INTERESTING EVER. All those love squares and love triangles too, with the action, the connection, all of the things that involves the series are THE BEST. Even teens and adults still watch the show (well some of them)

I am very proud of the work and dedication they put the show into. Many other artists never really put all of their work into stuff, especially for kids this generation.
One of the reasons why I love ML is because of the storyline. They give hints and clues about the next episodes and helps you figure things out as you go along. There is a subtle pattern I found while watching the show, which is very fun trying to see who is going to be akumatized next. (I also love how they mislead things as well. Lukanette? Adrianette? Which will be canon?) I am proud of the staff and workers who are working on the show.
I'm sad it wasn't as amazing as the clips they showed us, and the animation form they were intending to use, but I like graphic design shows. It sort of helps me feel like the show isn't just for kids. (It reminds me of RWBY. I love that show).

When I watched Miraculous Ladybuy for the first time, it made me realize that everyone can become a total game changer and reprogram everything and that even one person can make a massive change with limitless possibilities, but only when they're doing the right thing and take responsibility for their actions.
Every time I watch Miraculous Ladybug, I always get a warm feeling or even a cold feeling as I was reborn countless times with such sensation.
Finally, Miraculous Ladybug had taught me endless moral values and is a very educational animation, for instance, it taught me the meaning of and appreciate the life that I've been given and most importantly, all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing.
You guys who put all of your blood, sweat and tears into this animation, you are all Miraculous!

I will have you know this is the one and only superhero thing I will watch or even remotely associate myself with.
Most superhero shows have very shallow boring and generally annoying and aggravating main characters but mlb has characters I love and care about deeply, even if I don't relate much to them.
Most superhero girls are either way too serious and boring or way too childish and non-serious, I get the feeling when I watch these things that production companies think that only young children and adults will watch a girl superhero show. But mlb is more of a tweens/teens show, which is amazing! It has, in my opinion, the perfect balance of serious, funny, romantic, ridicilous, cool, relatable, and realistic!
I am SO thankful to all the people responsible for this incredible masterpiece and I hope this show goes on as the amazing show it is today and I hope other companies will notice that this SELLS and make more incredible shows that inspire like this.

In this video ladybug seemed a great project, they have the ability to do something better, I do not say that the series is bad but needs improvement, before the CGI animation looked better, Marinette looked much better with black and not bluish hair, in that version looks much more realistic, and for the chapter of origins would have preferred the concept of Marinette finding the miraculous in the abandoned house (4:30), I would like it to be as it looks in conceptual art, I would have preferred it to be an anime, to summarize I prefer almost everything of how looked ladybug in this video. :"v

Plus, for some reason they think that people will buy into these shows if everything is CG and more realistic. Not sure why, but that’s that..
When you watch miraculous ladybugs first seasons, you can tell that it's a kid show. The episodes have no real order, which means there's no plot development, it repeats the same formula over and over again, etc. This is fine, because it was meant to be a kids show, but theirs definitely a very large demographic of teens watching it, including me. I think that they could do a lot with the show if the realized that older kids were starting to watch, and it'd make the show really good. I watched the new episodes in season 3, and I was pleasantly surprised. There was major events taking place in almost all of the episodes. However, there was still no real order to the episodes, and I feel like the story will be hard to follow in the further as the plot thickens. I also would LOVE to see some improvements to the animation. Some people like how it is now, but I would fully support a full revamp to the style, or just a major improvement to the current one (Personally, I would prefer hand drawn animation than computer generated. I know it would take more time but I think it would be soooo worth it) Miraculous ladybug is already I pretty cool show, and it has an awesome concept, but I think it could improve a lot an attract even more people to watch it. I would love to see it improve.

It's quite interesting to see the changes between this and the final version.
No gadgets... no turning into superheros at night... no sence of real danger from the villains.
That’s because they said that’s coming in the show *later* It was claimed that all the new effects and new outfit and gadgets, appear when both lady bug and chat noir show their true love in action( basically after the reveal, which isn’t anywhere near here😞)

I’m glad that they changed Adrien into who he is today. I definitely wouldn’t have liked the early version of him. That being said, I do wish they would’ve kept the teen audience they originally intended for. I love the show now but I feel like the only thing it’s missing is more of a mature feel. I think that would’ve made the show explode onto the scene rather than creep there like how it did
I'm not really a fan of superheroes but after watching the first season 1 episode, before I know it I can't stop. Definitely my favorite 😍
The key point in this whole pv is "a hero by night". Yuupp. Night scenes would make the animation looked so good. The candle in front of eiffel tower scene?? It's just so beautiful. Lightings oh lightings. But yeah. Rendering 😥😥😥
In really would have preferred this version of Miraculous now, the animation is so I good!
