This video was actually a catalyst for me buying a Harvey Table saw. I was going back and forth whether to buy a SawStop, but after hearing "We'd prefer you use a `Harvey Saw`" ... I began researching Harvey saws and liked that they seem to be consistently improving their products and more importantly their standard fence/miter gauge, which comes with the saw(s), was already top of the line, whereas Sawstop (AFAIK) is not updating / providing a fence/miter as robust as Harvey. I then discovered their 48hour sale and bought the 4hp model with attachments.
I bought a Harvey table-saw on sale last year and it is awesome. Somethings you can count on with Harvey products (other than cost) is very high quality parts and materials, as well as superior performance. Even the previous Compass Miter-gauge is impressive.
Great video as usual, and what a great way to increase not only productivity but also increase accuracy and repeatability! I'm surprised he didn't talk about how the low fence is primarily the for when you are cutting a bevel and the blade has to clear over the top of the fence. At least, that's what my old man explained to me many moons ago!
I like this brand and I am planning to buy a new table saw but The problem is the price in Australia is the same price as Sawstop and they do offer outlet 10A in Australia. Good video
Nice saw , I’ll look at it in 2024 , that’s when I will retire my Sears 1972 table saw . It’s been great but I am going to upgrade since I put 200 amp service in the shop ! Cheers
Very nice standard style table saw fence but I would like to se it compared with Incra's TS fence. Since I put one on my Powermatic and my router table I have never looked back. I get EXACT repeatable cuts EVERY TIME no matter how many times I move the fence. To me that is what I was needing and was looking for. It can be micro dialed in also. It just fits my style perfectly. Same for the one on the router table. I haven't tapped the side of a table saw fence since installing it. Keep the vids coming. I really enjoy them. JimE
Hmm…. I’m guessing the JessEm Table saw stock guides might have a hard time working with this without a bit of some rework. You’d have to build up a pretty high base to get the arms to clear the aluminum rip fence face?
I'd love to get that fence. Those micro-adjust features, and the increased accuracy are impressive. First thing will be the miter gauge though. Harvey is spendy stuff, but definitely worth it.
But if you buy their table saws that have the fence and miter gauge standard they seem very competitively priced wise. Especially if you buy during one of their sales.
I am actually interested to see why you thought this is the *best* table saw fence you've seen when you also saw the Rip It fence. Hopefully, both companies will let you do a product review.
I have several questions/concerns about this fence. Have you had a chance to try one out? I am thinking of upgrading my SS ICS with this fence. My concern is if the fence remains parallel when the back lock is engaged. Many rip fences with a back lock pull out of parallel when locked down. I am also concerned about mounting Jessem stock guides to this fence. And last, I have an Incra miter gauge and the plastic scale has slipped out of position on occasion. I would be concerned that the scale on this fence would/could also accidentally be pushed out of position.
I really like these enhancements, but as a DIY person with a ver my small shop I have a SawStop JobSite table saw. The market for people like me that have these smaller table saws much be small since these companies never come out with these enhancements for smaller table saw. I know I would benefit with this type of fence since the fence on the jobsite saw is lack luster.
I have an Excalibur fence that locks on both ends like theirs and has aircraft grade roller bearings and it is at least 20 years old. Too bad that they went out of business a while ago.
Interesting. Not sure I'd want to spend another $1,300-1,700 CDN to further upgrade my SawStop t track fence. If I didn't have that fence, I would definitely contemplate it - the precision would be worth it.
This is really similar to the Incra Fence; I have the Incra and it is awesome; to truly transformed my experience. This is the closest I have ever in intent.
I would skip on Laguna. I've seen them in person at Rockler and I was not impressed. Very thin gauge metal through out the saw and cabinet. If I bought a new saw it would be a harvey.
I wish I had a big enough shop to have a big table saw that a fence like that would fit. But that's ok. My job site saw makes 90 deg cuts just the same. Stay awesome.
Been looking at upgrading my table saw fence guides, but out here in NZ we don't have the off the shelf options available to you guys in the USA. So I've been looking into the SBR type linear rails. Seems to me they wouldn't be that hard to fit to an existing table, and I think it would lock in your fence at 90 degrees (given a good sturdy Tee plate at the opeartor side between the guide and the fence) yet I don't see that many doing it (except a couple of guys moving towards CNC control of the fence). What am I missing?
That is a really nice fence, but I think $1200 is a bit much for a fence. It is nice, but the SawStop T-glide is pretty darn nice for way less. It even costs more than the Incra fence.
I've been a fan and I like the host, but what is that... like maybe, MAYBE three actual woodworking videos in the last two months? The rest of the content has been low effort, dare I say, commercials. I know no one will miss this one sub, but I can't imagine I'm the only one sick of "These 5 things you should buy using my affiliate link" videos. I hope this didn't come off mean, but it's honest feedback. I hope to catch your woodworking content again sometime. =/
I hardly watch any of his content anymore.. they are just infomercials.. next will be the sham wow every wood worker should have. Don’t get me wrong, bills need to be paid, but don’t lose sight of made you.. I really liked it his channel
Even if he spoke about his sponsors during a build video that would be fine. They all do it, but they continue to build. He should change his channel from “731 wood works” to “731 tool endorsements”
Love the videos but not quite sure how to interpret "Game Changer"... so many videos show it in the thumbnail. Keep up the good work and keep showing reasonably priced alternatives to the big brand name tools... Woodpecker, etc.
I think Harvey has more features than the Sawstop. It looks like you can get all the bells and whistles for a lot less money and ive heard no one complaining about quality.
This looks good but for a $1200 kickstarter price when it won't be delivered for almost a year? I dunno. I really like the Harvey fence. If I replaced my Unisaw, I think it's enough to flip me from a SawStop to a Harvey.
I have to say I appreciate all your content. But you haven't shown The best tables saw fence in the world bar none. The INCRA fence is the most accurate and repealed fence there is. Why everyone loves to continue to try to be accurate is funny. Put the INCRA against others would be the honest and best review. There are people that by Harvey and Saw stop only to remove their fences and put an INCRA on them. Thx. Love your channel.
Prices for some of these add on’s these day are getting ridiculous. Between the saw and the add ons you might as well just go buy an actual sliding table saw or panel saw.
Will you please stop with the clickbaity faces? Why go there? It's annoying, and it takes away from the content of the video. If you make good content, we will watch.
It may be the best fence but it cost more than most peoples table saws. I couldn’t see spending more money on the fence than I spent on my saw. The people who have a Harvey or SawStop will be 95% of there customers.
Why do you keep making commercials ? Very FEW people that are watching RUclips woodworking videos can AFFORD a fence that cost OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Thanks. After posting over 700 videos on this platform, I've tried a BUNCH of different thumbnail styles. RUclips gives you analytics on the click through rate (how many times someone clicks and watches the videos) and as goofy as the faces are and some call "stupid" those are the ones that get more clicks by a very large amount compared to others.

Harvey all day
I bought a Harvey table-saw on sale last year and it is awesome. Somethings you can count on with Harvey products (other than cost) is very high quality parts and materials, as well as superior performance. Even the previous Compass Miter-gauge is impressive.
I will certainly be upgrading to this new fence! I just got my Harvey in this week but wasn’t able to swing the extra price to upgrade.

At nearly $1,100 for the fence I'd say, yes they are extremely proud of their fence LOL
I like this brand and I am planning to buy a new table saw but The problem is the price in Australia is the same price as Sawstop and they do offer outlet 10A in Australia.
Good video
0:08 I love that Matt is a hand shake guy in a fist bump world!
I like all the innovations that Harvey is introducing, but for that price I would like to see a DRO built into the fence.
What's a dro bro

I would ABSOLUTELY get this for my nice Delta table saw!
Thanks again for the content. Look forward to getting my business running smoothly to where, Lord willing, I can purchase a few things like this. 😊
I’m sure it wouldn’t fit my old craftsman but it is really cool!
I am planning to buy a new table saw. Perfect video. Thank you
I'd love to get that fence. Those micro-adjust features, and the increased accuracy are impressive. First thing will be the miter gauge though. Harvey is spendy stuff, but definitely worth it.
It will be dear as gold

That’s one of the nicest table saws I’ve ever seen!
That fence is cool!
Harvey just keeps coming up with many ways to take my $$$, great products.
Which would you pick and why…. Big eye or Rip-it?
I have several questions/concerns about this fence. Have you had a chance to try one out? I am thinking of upgrading my SS ICS with this fence. This is an awesome fence! Hey love your videos brother bur would sure love to see a build video in the future! God bless you and your family!

Nice…but out of my league. Thx for the wishlist addition.
Big fan of Harvey and Bridge City! Great stuff.
It's still a pain like the other Harvey fences. Making fence jigs is a challenge with the sticking out.
Matt, any chance you can do a retrofit video for attaching to a Sawstop PCS?
Interesting. Not sure I'd want to spend another $1,300-1,700 CDN to further upgrade my SawStop t track fence. If I didn't have that fence, I would definitely contemplate it - the precision would be worth it.
I like it I don't have a cabinet saw yet, but I think I like this fence over many others and it seems worth the price they want.

Will this fence fit on my Grizzly 1023RL 10” tablesaw?
Looks like an improved Uni-Fence.
This is really similar to the Incra Fence; I have the Incra and it is awesome; to truly transformed my experience. This is the closest I have ever in intent.
Im sold, im adding it to my shopping list. 👍
K would like to ask if possible, you to make a video comparing Sawstop, Laguna and Harvey. Also give your opinion about each one.
Thank you
I would skip on Laguna. I've seen them in person at Rockler and I was not impressed. Very thin gauge metal through out the saw and cabinet. If I bought a new saw it would be a harvey.
Thank you, but the Harvey brand in Australia is just as expensive as the SawStop. It's crazy! 😝 Unfortunately, I can't afford it.
I wish I had a big enough shop to have a big table saw that a fence like that would fit. But that's ok. My job site saw makes 90 deg cuts just the same. Stay awesome.
Will it fit the Saw Stop Pro 10” Jobsite?

Holy crap! This fence is over $1000! I don't plan to spend that much on the table saw when I get one, for crying out loud!
Look at that gold table!!!
Looks amazing
I have a general international saw,I think it’s the 350 model . Anyways I have the Excalibur fence, but I have to say I like your system better

Harvey sounds awesome
Can you add Jessem clear cut guides to it?
I’m more interested in the miter gauge honestly
If I could ever heal up from needing arterial surgery and both hips replaced I will go with Harvey.
you guys need to have local pick up options so i can afford the dang thing
I think Harvey has more features than the Sawstop. It looks like you can get all the bells and whistles for a lot less money and ive heard no one complaining about quality.
That is an awesome looking fence but id feel bad putting a 1k fence on my delta.
Lol
WILL that fit my Craftsman cabinet saw and is 27 inches wide top to bottom
Great lookin fence but that price 😬
It’s crazy what there bringing to the table for woodworking it just gets better and better so does the price but money well spent I think anyway
Sadly you are assuming a square mounting. My old Delta 10” table saw has round BARS. My rails are ROUND. So it’s definitely not universal.
This looks good but for a $1200 kickstarter price when it won't be delivered for almost a year? I dunno.
I really like the Harvey fence. If I replaced my Unisaw, I think it's enough to flip me from a SawStop to a Harvey.
WOW! I want both of them for my Grizzly! How much?
Fence is $1049 pre-order (link in description) looks like $1250 once they are ship. Compass Miter Gauge $399 Release price (retail $450)
They look pretty sweet! Did you already preorder them? 😁
Nice! My wallet just puckered when I read the pinned comment, though. Ouch! Definitely worth it, just gotta make the hustle to get the $$.
Some of us can't afford a $4,000 fence. Nice product for those who can.
Nice & most likely efficient but very unlikely affordable for most of us

Matt's hand went straight down on the blade 🙈
But you have to set it manually! So last century. Should be at least keypad set, or better is just tell it (Alexa, fence to twenty five point four).
