As an Hakka that grew up in the west and came home 13 years ago. I can speak it fluently. Thank you for highlighting my people in your vlog.
Jenn的拍片質感真的很棒
快要可以當成電視節目了
而且有夥伴一起旅遊可以更享受過程
謝謝你🥹♥️✨ really thank you so much!
Taiwan is so small, yet there is so much to see, learn and discover. Thank you for sharing those interesting things with us 🤗
Yes is packed to the brim with things to see!!
感謝來訪!味衛佳柿餅感謝您!更歡迎所有朋友都來玩!
Thank you 謝謝你♥️♥️♥️
好喜歡這個行程😊❤
Glad to see an English Channel about Taiwan!!
👋🏻😁
Thank you, Jenn, for bringing such an enjoyable walk around a rural Hakka village, which one must almost live in Taiwan to discover and appreciate it. You touched upon the essence of Ilha Formosa!
🥹♥️
Had no idea there's something like this in Taiwan. Added to list! 🥰🥰🥰
Yes!! The season lasts until the end of December ~
Woow. I love this video. Thanks for it.😍😍
Thanks for posting this video & you should be a Taiwan goodwill ambassador. Cheers & have a great US Thanksgiving holiday to all.
That mochi looked delicious!
Literally the softest I’ve had!
Love it! Beautiful shots of persimmons. Also I love that you foster cats! I have 3 foster kittens right now too
Ohh little kittens!? Hopefully they will find a home soon ♥️ I’ve had my foster cat now for about 6/7 weeks! I post about her on my IG in the hopes of someone maybe loving her and adopting her 🤞🏻
@@LayersOfJenn yup l got them when they were 9 weeks, they’re now about 12 weeks. Very fun and snuggly. I would love to foster more adult kitties but one of my own cats is a bully to new adult cats. Kittens are fine tho! I hope you find an adopter soon! She looks very sweet. I always forget to check Instagram, I’ll have to be better about it to look at your fosters!
Also, mine 3 are all orange too! The girl is a brighter orange and the 2 boys are more cream orange.
Ohhh fun fact, only 20% of orange cats are female 😜
Thanks for making this video and providing some insight about Hakka culture! This is the first video I’ve seen showing Xinpu village. Xinpu is where my late maternal grandmother was born and raised and her family home is still there. Growing up, I would occasionally visit her childhood home and have memories of all the delicious Hakka dishes I enjoyed while visiting Xinpu. Watching your video made me notice how some things have changed but some have also remained the same. I am feeling so much nostalgia right now, this really makes me think of my wonderful grandmother and brings me back to the times we spent together in Xinpu. ❤
I can only imagine the nostalgia for you 🥹♥️
This brought tears to me, my late maternal grandparents lived in Xinpu, and my maternal grandmothers family farm/home was nearby as well. My best childhood memories were there. I didn’t love most Hakka food though. It was mostly so healthy and I just wanted fried stuff 😂. I like it now though.
So beautiful
Such a lovely place !
You were in my town 😱 😃 love your video as always!
I was!!
很意外你中文很好~~希望你在台灣過得愉快~
Jenn's Mandarin communication to purchase stuffs is getting so good. So proud of Jenn 😄
I’m trying 💦 🙇♀️
thank you for introducing such hidden and unique part of Taiwan :)
My pleasure!
Wow! Did you go on weekends?I just been to there, too. The persimmon ice pop tastes great😋
I did! We went on a weekend bc that’s when my friend was available. It was quite busy!
Hakka culture is so special and it's lovely to see the ways they work on preserving their traditions no matter where they're settled !
I don't know a single Hakka language, but did learned a few through a radio program when going to university on my last semester.
Sometimes the pronunciation sounds like Mandarin/Putonghua, but not regular sounds.
What I do not know earlier is that my aunt was a Hakka people.
I also don’t know any Hakka words but I know many people in my area do!
jenn真的很願意探討深入當地文化 又非常願意推廣❤ 的連台灣人的我都沒去過😅
Always! There is a lot to learn in Taiwan :)
Thanks for the video, Jenn! And definitely yet another place I want to be able to visit in Taiwan someday! And, to answer your question in the video, it's an "orchard" if it's based on trees, so yes, a cultivated collection of persimmon trees would properly be referred to as a persimmon orchard! 🙂
So it is an orchard 🤣
I only have been there couple times with my church friends for river tracing (朔溪) in 內灣(in 尖石鄉 I assume) in summer time. It was definitely a fun experience and I can't wait to go back and also taste some authentic Hakka cuisine there.
Ohhh we have river tracing here in Hsinchu!?!?
Your voice is cute while speaking mandarin
I get softer when I speak mandarin and Japanese 😅💦 I think bc I’m shy !
干し柿(hoshigaki)おいしいですよね。
おいしいです✨
you should try Hakka food in Hsinchu next time !!
Jenn.😍
👋🏻
@@LayersOfJenn 😆
8:29 ❤
Ahh I'm late 😂
My grandparents are of Hakka descent too 😊
Oh really!? I learned about Hakka once moving to Hsinchu! We even have a new department store in the shape of a circle to represent Hakka culture!
@@LayersOfJenn yup
good
剛開業1年多新補好吃米點店~~謝謝,
👏👏👏
😊👍
妳真棒
Can I ask you a question? Why did you choose to live in Taiwan instead of Japan?
It’s all explained in my moving from Taiwan to japan series & leaving japan video.
What’s the name of the mochi place in English?
How do you choose your music in the videos?
I pay monthly for epidemic sounds !
It's funny, but I can read some Mandarin. xD The Kanji for "here" on the map are exactly the same.
Yes yes some is shared since kanji originated from chinese characters. My hubby can read a lot too just can’t speak.
@@LayersOfJenn Right? XD But it sounds really impressive when you talk in Mandarin. Even if it's not much! I don't understand a word and it just sounds really good! :)
Your cat so Q~
🐱♥️
7:45 Not "peanut butter". It's peanut. Peanut powder. Not peanut butter. "Peanut butter" is the paste thing you know. 😄😄😄😄🥜🥜🥜🥜
Whoops 🤣🤣
@@LayersOfJenn 😋 客家麻糬Hakka mochi is a specialty お土産. While Hsinchu is a big Hakka county maybe is worth a try of some of the Hakka mochi from popular shops or vendors.
Who is your friend?
Someone who also lives here in Hsinchu ~
