Sharing Your Expertise to Grow as an Advocate: Muskie Fellow's Summer Experience in Human Rights

Shaghek Manjikian, a 2023 Muskie Program alumna from Armenia, spent her Muskie Fellowship summer working at The Advocates for Human Rights in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Here, she was able to put into practice what she learned through her law school program at the University of Minnesota and LLM back in Armenia.
At The Advocates, she was able to gain more experience in advocating for women’s rights and working to eliminate and reduce the scope of application of the death penalty.
