There is another theory that sulvan is iruma's blood grandfather and he gave iruma to his parents to avoid him staying in the demon world cause its 2 dangerous for him only to take him back cause the parents treat him awfully. There is another theory where the pervious demon king is somehow related to iruma and thats y he acts like the demon king alot while having all the quality and prophecies about him being true.
'Fun' little fact: Despite the circumstances that led to iruma being sold to Sulivan being portrayed as comedic and played for laughs, the only people Iruma absolutely, totally, completely, unmistakably realizes he's ever hated are his own parents. And in a world of demons where attempted murder and worse are being directed towards him and dangerous situations harming people he loves happen on a semi-regular basis and he only ends up feeling DISAPPOINTED, that's saying a LOT about how utterly evil his parents really are.

Hey, most of the original demons were fallen angels, which actually makes them closer to humans than one would think. I think that would logically lead to 2 different types of demons, based on the lineage, being the pure evil from satan variety, and the slightly more sinful than human fallen angel variety, and I kinda wish that was actually something noted in the bible, as that would be an excellent excuse to have demon on demon wars, pointing out war as a bad thing.
Imma be honest, this anime is stupid, just all in the best ways, totally worth the watch, a perfect comedic aspect along with cute moments between human/demon, the entire basis of the show is perfectly designed, such as the fact that the human parents seemed more demonic and evil than the actual demon who actually loved and cared for Iruma. 10/10

a part that really hit me was when kiriwo asked why he wasn't in despair, iruma just answered that being in despair doesn't fill your stomach. and that line alone just showed me that his backstory wasn't going to be a gag, it was something that was real. and this showed me that he had no intentions of returning to the human world with his parents.

I think the whole “if people ever find out I’m most likely going to be eaten”, as by my knowledge only 4 people know Iruma is human, two being his new family, one being the president who loves him, and then the president’s father who seems a bit suspect about the situation.

This show is an absolute treasure. I ended up watching it on a whim because I saw some clips of it on RUclips. Glad I gave it a chance because it's such an amazing series. I honestly cannot wait for season 3.
This is my favorite currently running shounen. It doesn't have enough impact for me to call it a true all-time masterpiece, but it's a clear 9 out of 10.
The plot so far feels like this kid keeps accidentally tripping and accidentally doing flips trying to save himself and everyone thinking he’s really cool even though he doesn’t want to be super cool
Iruma's way of handling problems is the equivalent of trying to do a sick-ass kick flip but losing your balance, slipping and twisting to keep from falling, flailing wildly and accidentally snap-kicking your skateboard so hard it flies through a basketball hoop behind you
In terms of wholesomeness and comedy, this show is one of my favorites. My cheeks hurt every episode because of laughing and smiling throughout my watch.
I was always floored by the comical way they depicted Irumas depressing as heck life - his parents are awful and I really really hope at some point in the future there is some sort of personal karma inflicted upon them - it would just be cathartic. How dare they do that to this cinnamon roll.
There's actualy a scene in the manga depicting iruma's past life not in a comical way, and it will be animated in the next season so can't wait for that

That would be quite strong in any situation, even if you are the one attacking. If they can’t hit you to defend themselves, then your job is much easier. It’s also good for distractions or causing self sabotage, dodging attacks and letting it hit important stuff to the enemy.
Imagine if Iruma decides to go look around the human world one time in the far future and his parents recognize him and he tells them he is the most famous demon in the netherworld without even being a demon

they don’t have ‘friend’ in their vocabulary (or in other words, they didn’t have a word for the definition of friendship). the closest word they have for it are ‘allies’ or ‘comrades’ (read the manga for more confirmation) since the netherworld’s history is brutal and friendship would be a little too soft

No they put him in with the problem children because 1) The fight with Iruma which caused damage to school property due to Iruma evading every attack. 2) Sullivan knew that Iruma had become friends and wanted Asmodeus with Iruma.

How could any parents be so selfish and sell their child? I been watching the show and I really like it so far. I really like the characters also I love how Iruma is overall. He is also pretty lucky he had such a hard life. He parents didn’t care, he barely ate anything,and his friends didn’t even know his name. Then he has someone who loves him, more than enough food to eat, and friends that always want to be with him. I don’t want to sound ungrateful about my life but if I had that happened to me I wouldn’t want to come back home. I love my parents and life so I probably wouldn’t agree in the first place but if I did I would love to visit home.
You'd be surprised at what trauma does to the human brain. It convinces you that if you aren't miserable then nothing is real. If you aren't suffering, then you aren't alive.
Man nothing was better (so far) then S2 "spell bad boy" that was basically like him both being an actual misfit with an attitude and/or if he was going through what the shows call an "evil cycle." Really shows you what he could've been like from day 1, or what a lot of characters sorta act like but not for anyone else's benefit, as he was still doing it for others not just himself. I have to admit while to me this show is "Soul Eater-Light" or "Diet Soul Eater" it has it's charm, and the humor isn't too overdone to feel misplaced. Some typical things yeah (like the one char who can't stop being a total perv for instance) but it's different enough, despite seeming a bit slow paced. It's also nice it's not a constantly ongoing one so it gets the 20-something episodes and breaks, so the animation in other words is actually pretty good too. Heck most of it looks better than some of the wierd ugly expressions they keep shoving into Demon Slayer's S2 2nd half (entertainment district).

Also once the big fight began (entertainment district arc), it seemed to stop. It was only meant to point out shows taking shortcuts, loosing animation quality, etc. There's also the rubber look most of db super had, or sticker outlines.
Much better than real demon deals. Most people imagine it’s just having a super powered being work for you after you summon it. It’s truly false. It often requires the death of many of the people you care for, your own body, your thoughts, and is always going to end with your death or eternal suffering, though that’s good for this guys parents. 😈 . There is a reason you don’t make a deal with the devil, or his kind for that matter.
This anime REALLY needs more attention, it's easily One of the most unique idea: instead of a demon coming to the human world, One human comes to a world full of demons.

Got to say I immediately binge watched the anime after watching the two videos and it immediately became my favorite anime. The Dub is honestly the best dub of any anime (granted I don’t watch a lot of anime) I’ve watched. The characters are made so well and all of them are important. My favorite characters are Gramps and Sabnock. Gramps grandparent attitude is honestly the best part of him and my favorite scene is when Iruma is being trained for the Student council and he comes over to see him. His voice saying “A picture” is honestly great and I replayed it a bunch. And Sabnock goes from “Man here’s the stereotypical Jock who thinks he’s better than everyone” to “I can’t just be a person who thinks he’s better than everyone 24/7 and I have to work on myself to become stronger” in episode 5. And then his enthusiasm and company never gets dull. My favorite moment of his is when he wakes up and asks “My hearty Rival, do you not wish to climb the peak that is Sabnock”(Not exact line but you get the gist). And more episodes come out in October so I cannot wait. I have rewatched the series twice and plan to do it again. Honestly if you feel like this is a good recap then go watch the full thing.
@@yaellevi5448 oh Opera is my 3rd favorite. I love the *Butler is secretly super powerful* aspect, like how in Batman Alfred knows how to kick ass if he needs to. Plus he’s the show no emotion as he pummels you into the ground type as well, as seen in other anime I watch a lot: Example being One punch man. He’s one of those characters you don’t know how to feel about at first but then become a favorite.

A buch of my coworkers watch this show... So I always felt left out of conversation but I was not going to sit down and binge the series thank you for saving precious hours of my life.
It's well worth watching, I can binge it all day easily. I can't wait for the next season since they confirmed it would be getting another season already after this last one.
@leo yeah, tbh it's a general case for all anime/manga, but in the case of iruma between the artstyle, work on expression/intensity/rythm/moment. The pace and all, The manga is clearly to read But it's important to not bash on anime-only people (btw, season 3 started yesterday!) We don't all work the same way and it's harder to get into manga for some or they simply can't for many reason
This is one of my favourite anime's ever, I typically don't even like the slice of life genre, but the chemistry between the characters and the setting makes it a very interesting watch.

Highly recommend reading the full manga or keeping in touch with the anime. I'd say the start is a bit indistinguishable from others but it truly separates itself from other similar series over time. I mean, it even has a mineta (Mha) and makes him TOLERABLE.
kamui is superior to mineta by far. while mineta's whole character is being a borderline sex offender, kamui tries being a gentleman and doesn't straight up tries to grope kerori and elizabetta, although he lacks touch and ends up asking inapropriate questions or staring to hard at female characters.
Hear me out, this is the funniest anime out there. Taking comic relief to another tier. Plus we all know he is going to be related to the previous demon king, but we just dont know how. Loved every minute of this anime, cant wait for season 3.
1-Reminds me of that anime combat butler where a kids parent sells their kid to a mafia and a rich girl ends up paying his debt so he ends up working for her. 2-The sweetest part comes in the form of how the protagonists parents are likely getting screwed over. Yeah they sold someone else's soul but a guy like Sullivan will let them walk away from selling a nice kid without some bad twist.

This exact video got recommended to me on April 5th 2022 and I clicked on it because I thought it looked interesting and if it weren't for this video I literally wouldn't have found my favorite thing literally ever, if the RUclips algorithm said no I would have never ended up so utterly obsessed, genuinely this series is like all I think about. 915 days in and this is still my most absolute favorite thing. a part that really hit me was when kiriwo asked why he wasn't in despair, iruma just answered that being in despair doesn't fill your stomach.
and that line alone just showed me that his backstory wasn't going to be a gag, it was something that was real. and this showed me that he had no intentions of returning to the human world with his parents.

That would be quite strong in any situation, even if you are the one attacking. If they can’t hit you to defend themselves, then your job is much easier. It’s also good for distractions or causing self sabotage, dodging attacks and letting it hit important stuff to the enemy.

How could any parents be so selfish and sell their child? I been watching the show and I really like it so far. I really like the characters also I love how Iruma is overall. He is also pretty lucky he had such a hard life. He parents didn’t care, he barely ate anything,and his friends didn’t even know his name. Then he has someone who loves him, more than enough food to eat, and friends that always want to be with him. I don’t want to sound ungrateful about my life but if I had that happened to me I wouldn’t want to come back home. I love my parents and life so I probably wouldn’t agree in the first place but if I did I would love to visit home.

You'd be surprised at what trauma does to the human brain. It convinces you that if you aren't miserable then nothing is real. If you aren't suffering, then you aren't alive.
Man nothing was better (so far) then S2 "spell bad boy" that was basically like him both being an actual misfit with an attitude and/or if he was going through what the shows call an "evil cycle." Really shows you what he could've been like from day 1, or what a lot of characters sorta act like but not for anyone else's benefit, as he was still doing it for others not just himself. I have to admit while to me this show is "Soul Eater-Light" or "Diet Soul Eater" it has it's charm, and the humor isn't too overdone to feel misplaced. Some typical things yeah (like the one char who can't stop being a total perv for instance) but it's different enough, despite seeming a bit slow paced. It's also nice it's not a constantly ongoing one so it gets the 20-something episodes and breaks, so the animation in other words is actually pretty good too. Heck most of it looks better than some of the wierd ugly expressions they keep shoving into Demon Slayer's S2 2nd half (entertainment district).

Also once the big fight began (entertainment district arc), it seemed to stop. It was only meant to point out shows taking shortcuts, loosing animation quality, etc. There's also the rubber look most of db super had, or sticker outlines.

Got to say I immediately binge watched the anime after watching the two videos and it immediately became my favorite anime. The Dub is honestly the best dub of any anime (granted I don’t watch a lot of anime) I’ve watched. The characters are made so well and all of them are important. My favorite characters are Gramps and Sabnock.
Gramps grandparent attitude is honestly the best part of him and my favorite scene is when Iruma is being trained for the Student council and he comes over to see him. His voice saying “A picture” is honestly great and I replayed it a bunch.
And Sabnock goes from “Man here’s the stereotypical Jock who thinks he’s better than everyone” to “I can’t just be a person who thinks he’s better than everyone 24/7 and I have to work on myself to become stronger” in episode 5. And then his enthusiasm and company never gets dull. My favorite moment of his is when he wakes up and asks “My hearty Rival, do you not wish to climb the peak that is Sabnock”(Not exact line but you get the gist).
And more episodes come out in October so I cannot wait. I have rewatched the series twice and plan to do it again. Honestly if you feel like this is a good recap then go watch the full thing.

@@yaellevi5448 oh Opera is my 3rd favorite. I love the *Butler is secretly super powerful* aspect, like how in Batman Alfred knows how to kick ass if he needs to. Plus he’s the show no emotion as he pummels you into the ground type as well, as seen in other anime I watch a lot: Example being One punch man.
He’s one of those characters you don’t know how to feel about at first but then become a favorite.
