Safetran Type 1 | Railroad Crossing | Main St, Copperas Cove, TX

After catching this train in Harker Heights, I decided to chase it to Copperas Cove and record this crossing with a Safetran Type 1 electronic bell. It wasn't long before the train came through town. Here we see an uncut look at this bizarre train.
Unfortunately, the Safetran Type 1 here was very much on its way out. It was extremely quiet, being barely audible in the video and frankly drowned out by the General Signals Type 2 across the street. Unsurprisingly, it was replaced less than two months after this video was filmed. Definitely sad to see another one of these pioneer electronic bells kick the bucket though I am glad I filmed it nonetheless. Interestingly, the bell was originally located on the far mast but was relocated years back to the near one.

Great video and crossing! Shame the Safetran Type 1 there is pretty well drowned-out by the GS e-bells around it.
