I took Obsidian for free last year, played a few games and didn't touch it until recently. Tank was a blast for me. I have one faster setup and another sneaky setup(for spot). It has trollish armour, it has good DPM, and it has a trollish gun as well. 200 dmg is not bad when you reload 4.3s without rammer. Normal cammo is 38% and with a sneaky setup 47%. Just had a game with it where I spotted Prokhorovka in a tier X game for 6.5k assisting. Now, for a FREE tank, it is great. To buy it-there are always better options in that price range. Ah yes: ammo is cheap, so it is also a good money maker. Conclusion: solid balanced premium tank, good for F2P. Can bully lower tiers, and will struggle against high tiers.(like most of tier 8s) Skill doesn't like it because it is not competitive and that is fine. For most people it is going to be just fine.
Agree, with grouser + bond turbo + rammer, we can feel a lot faster. And if someone knows strength of Obsidian they can bounce and block more than 3K in so many battles.
I completely agree with you and i think it is a good tank for no a professional or unicum player, a F2P potato like i am, to train and improve myself without playing with an op Self-Runner like Progetto or Borat.
This thing on frontline with the inspire bonus is so good for making credits even though dmg per shot is low if you are a good player you can make it work
I call it the bz176 killer. I single handedly killed a bz176 and a obj252u with obsidian. Got a good side scraper position and none of them could pen me. With the 3.9seconds reload i blasted them. Finished with 5.2k damage. Also fought against st1 and e75. With the correct angle and position i could hold them till reinforcements arrived
This is my issue too with this tank. Whenever i check on the armor profile it should work with the right angling. However everytime the enemy seems to find shots that should in theory never pen. It does not have relyable armor to go with heavies and it does not have the hp to last long on that line either. It has good accuracy but its not mobile enough to take good positions to do so.
Hear me up... The tanks gun handling is ok. Dom is fine... Why don't you try full mobility setup? Turbo, growsers, and vent/rammer/hardening/optics whatever you want. Also give it quality fuel and it feels much more agile and faster. I don't love the tank, bit I also don't hate it. The armor can hold up, and the rate of fire is ridiculous. Also it's very good in the last stand game mode in Babylon project

Played like 30 games and 70% was against tier X. Left it under a thick coat of dust, it was so depressing to play that im not touching it unless it gets buffed (probably never). Imo it would have been good like 4 years ago and with pref matchmaking
The tank actually starts to feel decent with optics, CVS, experimental turbo. Stabs, rammer, vents may work if top tier bullying tier 6 but in tier 9/x games you have no Frontline capability, so why even bother with equipment for that.
Nergal players aren't good yet, but a good nergal player will stomp some games. Though it's a tank that needs a map suited to its strengths. AKA, downhill driving only.
You can explain yourself however you want, I will never understand how could you not like this tank. I simply disagree with almost everything you said. That’s the beauty of the game, 600 tanks for everyone to choose from.
This tank isn't weak. It just doesn't have enough specific strength to be any character on the battlefield. Good armor but gun cannot hold line. Good camo but no speed to escape. This kind of tank is too hard to bring impact to the battles.
I just don’t get why he compares it to the most overpowered tanks, it doesn’t need to have the speed of a light tank, armor of a heavy tank, and double the alpha damage to be a great tank. I noticed when reviewing tanks he always says that you won’t be saying things like “this is the best tank in the world of tanks”, okay yes they may not be the BEST/MOST OP, doesn’t mean the tanks can’t excel in specific types of gameplay compared to others

He has been doing this for years and years yet he refuses to learn english. Pronounciation-wise I don’t really care but if you actually listen to what says in his videos you will find out that he just keeps repeating the same primitive phrases over and over again to the point where it doesn’t even make any sense. Hi everyone! Sorry for offtop but am I the only one who has issues with Reticle mod after the latest update? In a battle my tank turret just doen't turn and aim. Once I remove the mod, everything becomes ok. However I watch Skill and see he's doing well with it. What do I do wrong?
With such alpha, shooting prem rounds will not get you far in terms of credit income; paying 4.4k creds for a 200 alpha is diabolical. Other than that, damage per minute eats most tanks if caught, and being able to angle will be your best bet most of the time. Its a good tank if you're a f2p because the shell cost is cheap, but its a horrible tank if you already own tanks like KPZ 07 RH,
As im a solo player i dont think i will have time to get nergal. It would take me another 30 hours. I dont really care as you get some credits and other rewards just playing.

I don't think it's good but it's not awful. I don't mind taking it out occasionally, especially since I got it for free last year.
