Maybe they are waiting for the new DTM season 2019, because DTM now uses the Class One regulations, very similar to Super GT and the new DTM cars could be very close to the Super GT cars in terms of performance, which would be Group 2 in GT Sport.
I hope they add cars from the golden era of DTM too like the Mercedes 190e Evo 2, BMW E30 M3 DTM (especially in the Warsteiner livery), and the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI

DTM is awesome i would love to see championships with these cars. GR3 is my favorite currently in GT Sport, before GT Sport i was a sim racer in F1 cars exclusively but man GT Sport nailed it hard with their Online modes, not perfect but certainly my favorite game of all platforms.
i just want the Alfa 155. I was lucky enough to go to Donington park in the early 90's when the DTM raced there. Some great racing and the noise will stick with me for ever. The DTM Mustang was like thunder. I think these cars need to be in their own class within the game.
Personally I'd like to see a "Group A" rally category to come back with not only the 2000's WRC cars, but also the current "1.6-Evo" WRC cars too. (The reason I say 1.6 evo is because there are two eras of 1.6 litre wrc cars, the newer models being marginally lighter, having more aggressive aero and getting an extra 75HP over the previous generation.
Yes we want DTM. Also at least two V8 super cars and a return of the Lister the legendary Jaguar LM (the one that got excluded) and GT300s. I know its a lot but unless we are having GT 7

If they got these into gts it would be great, especially if polyphony can recreate the sound they make. Ive seen dtm at a few circuits and they blow your eardrums out! So much like super gt too, with lots of aero winglets adorning the bodywork and similar downforce. Hockenheimring would prob be great with the package 🤔
Yamauchi has said that they've tried to bring DTM into the game but can't because licensing negotiations with the owners of the league, because they want a DTM exclusive game, or at the most, that they can't race anything other than themselves, so no DTM for a while.
I would so love to see the 2000 CLK w208 Team HWA (Specifically the D2, but any version would be enough really) in a modern racing game; you know, some classic DTM cars, not only from the first generation but the start of the second generation of DTM.
Would love to see modern DTM cars! 2019 cars and maybe the addition of the 2018 mercedes. Combined with tracks like Zandvoort. Love the DTM liveries aswell, best liveries in motorsports in my opinion.
I miss how the Cars in GT6/5 react to every bump, car looks so down to the ground... In GTS everything looks so delayed when looking from outside... :(
I hope they do add DTM cars, a nice extra group of race cars. I’m also looking forward to drive the newest supra next week! When I look purely at the updates of GT Sport, I have to say in general I like them. They are diverse, with often offering anything from race cars to slow road cars. That combined with the tracks the add with the updates, that the updates are for free and that the updates are launched almost monthly makes me really appreciate them. However if I look at GT Sport as a whole lack of content is still the biggest downside of the game to me. I mean even of the about 380 detailed cars of GT6 about 280 are still missing in GT Sport. The updates are just too small to change the lack of content and the very nice graphics and driving experience don’t compensate that for me either. Looking back of what GT has made before GT Sport this game is a shame to me. They have build-up so much heritage with cars and tracks in GT 1-6 that the have said farewell with GT Sport. So much cars and track that no other game had. A lot of cars that I bet many car enthusiasts have never heard of. So I’d say put some or better all that heritage back in GT7. Probably not a realistic wish list for GT7 but anyway: Launch different versions of the game. 1. GT7 All the cars and circuits of GT Sport + all the detailed cars from GT6 (the cars with interiors) + all the world circuits from GT6. 2. GT7 Heritage Edition Everything from GT7 + all unique cars and all unique circuits from GT6. With unique cars I don’t mean the different versions of 1 type of car that hardly have any difference from each other. With all cars and circuits on the graphic level of GT Sport, so all cars also have interiors. 3. GT7 Heritage Ultimate Edition Everything from GT7 Heritage Edition + all unique cars and all unique circuits from GT1 - GT5. With unique cars I don’t mean the different versions of 1 type of car that hardly have any difference from each other. With all cars and circuits on the graphic level of GT Sport, so all cars also have interiors. Also for all GT7 version they should continue the update system like in GT Sport. With for example Touge circuits, drift cars and to the GT series new classic and modern road and race cars.
I have my doubts on DTM returning to GT Sport since supposedly they're under exclusive licensing with Raceroom, but at the same time, there's evidence pointing against that since The Crew 2 has the DTM versions of the BMW M4 and Mercedes-AMG C63 (albeit not actually referred to as DTM cars in that game; "BMW M Performance M4 Racing" and "Mercedes-AMG C63 Touring Car" respectively). Seems to also be the case with Real Racing 3 as well.
There could be two reasons why DTM isn’t in the game (beyond licensing) First is the new engine rules, where everyone is running turbo charged four cylinder engines instead of NA V8s (same as Super GT). The second could be because they are waiting on Aston Martin to debut their DTM car. We could get Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and Aston Martin...That’s the dream
I don’t know what the current licensing agreement with RaceRoom looks like (or whether it is even still valid), but I’d absolutely love to see the 2018 or 2019 cars (including the Aston) in GT Sport. If memory serves, Mercedes was the only manufacturer to ever do some promo with that platform (while Audi & BMW mostly ignored it), so there just might be something to work with here, hopefully.

If they talked about IMSA DPI coming to GT Sport. I would be so happy because, I wanna which cars are fast, FIA LMP1 cars or IMSA DPI cars.
DPI cars are slower than LMP1, they have similar performance as the LMP2.

Right now DTM are on an exclusivity deal with _Raceroom: Racing Experience_ so I doubt it'll happen prior to the next GT game.
Would love DTM to come back. But I believe rFactor 2 has the rights.

DTM must return to forza. The last DTM car featured in a forza franchise was the 2013 BMW M Performance DTM in Forza Motorsport 5.
