I! love this Gerswin piece and without a doubt these are truly accomplished musicians. BUT do not lose sight of the purpose of this performance , it is a tribute to all the skilled people who make these unparalleled pianos! A truly superb instrument helps any player seek to play beyond their current level of competence. When they hear a wonderful performance, they can rightly be proud of the instrument they helped make!!!
Such precision. No director leading. My god fancy living in their house. What a thrill for the workers to be treated to see and witness these musicians performing on their master pieces of what are probably the finest instruments in the world. Don’t forget Gershwin and one of the greatest pieces of 20th century music.
Wow. Imagine that. People get to see and hear the products they built being used, dynamically and beautifully. I wish that in all the jobs I did in my life I had one experience of seeing a live outcome like this.
Talent and Technology are the artists here for these five super pianists: Steinway, Gershwin and the cameramen and he sound engineers for RUclips Thank you for making this possible!. Bravo!
Still one of the greatest pieces of truly American music after nearly a century. I did a paper in college on the Rhapsody using only info from the 20+ albums I have of it and got an A++
Looking at this today (012025), I didn't realize I'd seen and commented on it 5 years ago. It's still AMAZING. I am so appreciative of their skill, talent and professionalism. BRAVO!!!! I wonder what they're doing today.
I could not stop watching and listening to this excellent piano rendition of the 5 Brown’s sisters and brothers performance! So perfect and so cool!!! God bless them!!!
That was WONDERFUL! And it wonderfully illustrates just why the piano is such a versatile instrument. I always think of New York when I hear this tune. To me, it tells the story of a person who created something wonderful, rides high for a time only to have their hopes and dreams dashed then to rise again to greatness when people rediscover it's greatness. In other words, it's the story of reinvention. A truly American story.
Wow! Masterful. This was 9 years ago!!! I hope these fabulous young people are still performing. Rhapsody in Blue has always been a great favorite of mine. It’s especially thrilling with a symphony orchestra…the drama that pops up and ebbs and flows with playfulness. Yum. So glad I found this.
You 5Browns you! Talent abundant! Talent beyond my wildest dreams. I'll never stop loving the piano nor you all playing it! Best Wishes & 🙏x💯 in all you do.
Fantastic musicians! I’ve always loved this classical piece. However, it’s wonderful to hear this rendition, when I’m used to hearing a symphony orchestra play this piece. God bless these amazing musicians.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful instruments produce sensational music! What talented musicians! Thank you for sharing! To "The 5 Browns"--Thank you for this extraordinary music--I hear notes that I have not been aware of in the past! God bless these craftsmen AND musicians!
I'm guessing he composed it (the orchestral part) on, or at least with a lot of help from, the piano. It's a piano concerto in the original, so that was obviously a part of it. Fred
Once a pianist always a pianist. No such thing as a ‘past pianist’. You can’t UNLEARN the piano. And yes, I know as I’m 67 and a professional accompanist and pianist for a Middle School.
That's probably close to 1.2 mil in Piano's in that small space., Great sound. Great players. Surprised we don't see more multiple piano pieces in the Orchestras. Plot twist. These pianos were made in Hamburg as a gag to the NY plant :)
Hi! Phenomenal job!! As a pianist and a vocal and piano teacher myself, it takes MUCH serious concentration to perform this BY EAR! No time for thinking of your emotions, you must very deftly concentrate
what wonderful young artists but also what beautiful pianos their is nothing like the sound of a Steinway Piano well done to the young musicians and well done to the people who make the fine instruments
Wow, an excellent performance by 5 siblings. First time I'm hearing these Steinway & Sons videos. Imagine hearing them in a concert hall. Have subscribed.
Wonderful! It’s the audio and video are marvelous! The video supplies the emotional aspect in a way that simply being present at a performance cannot provide.
The Five Browns are extremely FANTASTIC concert pianists. They are graduates of The Julliard School, for goodness sakes! Only the best of the best are admitted into The Juilliard School!
For me it's still Manhattan Woody Allen ...; The opening sequence from Woody Allen's Manhattan is the ultimate love letter to New York City. I thought it would be a fun experiment to shoot new footage of the city, and edit it to Allen's monologue and George Gershwin's wonderful Rhapsody in Blue. Much of NYC has changed since 1979 (when the film was released), but I think if you listen to the monologue you'll see that its heart and soul are the same even 30-40 years later. Enjoy!

I've not ever heard an all piano rendition of "Rhapsody", but I have to say, WOW! I LOVED IT !!! Bravo, Bravo!!!
I have. It’s good, really good but it lacks the depth that a full orchestra gives it. For the purpose here it’s perfectly fine.
How about a shout-out to the technician(s) who prepared all of those pianos for this performance!
The triad of any art. Impossible to separate the dance from the dancer. Genius Gershwin. Superb craftsmanship of a Steinway. Amazing pianists. Bravo.
The hours of practice, individually and together!
Piano Tuner Technicians are the unseen magicians.
The staff who made these wonderful instruments must be delighted!
What a gift for that crew!
Aren't superbly crafted musical instruments in the hands of highly talented artists simply a wonderful thing?
and... all right here...!!! in abundance!
Talk about being together! WOW!
Wonderful!
Oh yes!
And to have good hearing to enjoy their playing is a blessing too.
I! love this Gerswin piece and without a doubt these are truly accomplished musicians. Yes! And, thank for the observation and reminder.
The best rendition of Rhapsody in Blue to date on a single instrument. Extremely talented family.
The 5 Browns--all Julliard graduates!
An entire orchestra in 5 Steinways! Fascinating!
Apart from any financial bonus this is one of the greatest presents the management of this factory could have given to their employees. Kudos !!!
The individual passion is superb. All love what they are doing 🫶

I speechless! The phrasing, the musicality, the passion, the kindness just to share their gifts...
Incredible, superb, enchanting, other-worldly, calming, graceful, glorious talent and skill!
Wow. Imagine that. People get to see and hear the products they built being used, dynamically and beautifully. I wish that in all the jobs I did in my life I had one experience of seeing a live outcome like this.
Amazing and thrilling to watch the Brown siblings perform. And all the craftsmen hear their own gifts being beautifully expressed. ❤
Well done, all who made these fine pianos.
Talent and Technology are the artists here for these five super pianists: Steinway, Gershwin and the cameramen and he sound engineers for RUclips Thank you for making this possible!.
Bravo!
Without the piano builders, the maestros would have no vehicle to exhibit their brilliance.
So beautiful and I got chills. I still have my grandmother's upright Steinway grand from 1906. They are the best!!
No comprehension able to describe this beautiful performance.
absolutely magical music on the worlds best pianos played by such talented young masters of music. Thankyou for showing us all.
Kudos to the arranger(s). What a magnificent and challenging work!! Perfection!! The music is so moving.
How wonderful. Distributing the orchestra across the piano. I'm going to keep this idea in mind.
How proud and thankful must be these « great piano » builders !
I love this song and it was done beautifully by those pianist. Bravo also goes to the people that make these Steinway pianos.
Wow, what a great place to play. What powerful motivation for the craftsmen and women.

This was AWESOME! Thank you for sharing it.
Fabulous!! Their parents must be beaming with pride.
What an unusually enjoyable performance! Thank all 5 of you for all of your amazing efforts.
OMG, The way they play with their heart... such dedication to the music.... the way they play.. with all of it they "ROCK" their feeling is devine.
I'm in awe just watching and listening to these people playing this song wow!!!!!

Una maravilla, refleja lo que es la ciudad de New York, es para escucharla eternamente.!!!!
Yes...wow!!!!!!!! Brilliant does not cover it and a joy to see all those young folk with such talent.
Love this series you've got going here Steinway!
Fantastic musicians! I’ve always loved this classical piece. However, it’s wonderful to hear this rendition, when I’m used to hearing a symphony orchestra play this piece. God bless these amazing musicians.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Superb!! Excellence at its finest!! ❤❤❤
BRAVO! One of the best interpretations of one of the best songs ever composed. Gershwin is looking down at you and saying "Well Done"
Bravo, bravo! Beautifully played.
how much fun playing together
I love watching and listening, no music, such syncopation. Beautiful!
Beautiful instruments produce sensational music! What talented musicians! Thank you for sharing! To "The 5 Browns"--Thank you for this extraordinary music--I hear notes that I have not been aware of in the past! God bless these craftsmen AND musicians!
Wow! What a performance! I sure wish I could have been there.
This is absolutely wonderful. It is amazing how close to the orchestra’s version these five make it sound. I wonder if Gershwin was listening?
I'm guessing he composed it (the orchestral part) on, or at least with a lot of help from, the piano. It's a piano concerto in the original, so that was obviously a part of it.
Fred
Because of their phrasings, tones and interpretation I didn't even miss the orchestra parts. They carried it well, and It stands on it's own. Wow!
MidwestMike100 I agree!
@@MidwestMike100 & Anna Diehl Davis:
100%! I found it fascinating how well they carried off so many of the orchestral nuances.
Fred
My eyes were watering at the conclusion.
Mine too!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you all!
Blessed musical fingers❤❤❤ Delightful Harmony❤❤❤Talent on Loan from GOD❤❤❤
Well said.
Fabulous!!! I love Gershwin so much. He left us way too soon!!!
Browns! Bravo times Eternity!!!💕
This is a truly mesmerizing performance of a masterful arrangement.
Can you imagine getting them all in tune with each other?
World class talents with world class grand pianos 👏👏 👏👏
Gershwin's masterpiece...perhaps the ultimate expression of the American ideal. Amazing performance.
Tears of joy!
I have two words... UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME
AS A PAST PIANIST I thought is was incredible.
Once a pianist always a pianist. No such thing as a ‘past pianist’. You can’t UNLEARN the piano. And yes, I know as I’m 67 and a professional accompanist and pianist for a Middle School.
Saw them last night live the very first time in Reno , Nv. Was magnificent!!!
her smirk at 7:50 cuz she knows what's about to happen... love it.
imabeapirate lol
Unparalleled Magnificence!!!
Ah.... such a pleasure to see the Browns perform again.
Bravo. I started crying at 5:30. Just wonderful.
The faces these people make as they are playing the piano. Especially the first gal. She looks like she’s in pain. 😮
No she is not .She is in love with the piece she is playing.
I've watched and listened to this a dozen times, always delighted. Great idea, Steinway & sons!
Fantastic !!! I listened to every note. One of my favorites . Great playing guys !
I'm speechless. What an amazing performance! And, on the factory floor to boot.
That's probably close to 1.2 mil in Piano's in that small space., Great sound. Great players. Surprised we don't see more multiple piano pieces in the Orchestras.
Plot twist. These pianos were made in Hamburg as a gag to the NY plant :)
Beautiful! Bravo! Blessings!
I'd be honored to perform at the Steinway & sons factory
I think we all would be
Hi! Phenomenal job!! As a pianist and a vocal and piano teacher myself, it takes MUCH serious concentration to perform this BY EAR! No time for thinking of your emotions, you must very deftly concentrate
By ear? I think they studied sheet music and played by memory.
Marvellous. Thank you. Only wish I could hear the pianos live instead of through my laptop.
I hope you can too, someday...soon!
I very much enjoyed this performance. Amazing pianos and performers !!!!
what wonderful young artists but also what beautiful pianos their is nothing like the sound of a Steinway Piano well done to the young musicians and well done to the people who make the fine instruments

Absolutly Amazing! Bravo!! Best performance I have ever seen!
Love the 5Browns. Just wish Steinway would've put some chairs out for the workers to sit in while they watched them perform.
Great experience...hope I get to hear them in person! Nice playing and FUN! Nothing wrong with that!!
George Gershwin is giving you all a standing ovation!
This was truly incredible!
Extraordinary!
I don't know, but I feel like this should be performed somewhere along Broadway or maybe in a subway station around midnight.
This magnificent performance rivals that of Andre Previn, IMHO. Takes my breath away. 💥💯🌟👏🙏
That was incredibly awesome I am without words.
Magnificent! Beautifully crafted. Beautiful resonance. Just magnificent workmanship and artists. Tfs.
Wow! This was so uplifting to watch.
