- Potato Soup
2 lbs gold potatoes (I use Yukon gold)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon bacon grease or drippings
2 Tablespoons corn starch mixed with 1/3 c cold water
Salt & Black Pepper
Peel & cut potatoes in 1 inch cubes or pieces
Place in large pan, add bacon grease, 1 teaspoon salt & 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Cover with water & boil until tender.
Remove potatoes, whisk in cream of chicken soup, add Cornstarch mixture; whack & bring to a boil. Add potatoes back in. Cook on medium heat for about 5 more minutes. Serve with hot cornbread or crackers.
Optional: bacon bits, cheese & sour cream

I have ordered a cook book and apron from you sisters.....even tho I can't stand and cook like I want to.
I use corn starch to. I never use flour in place of corn starch....
I wish I could stand around and talk like yall do....I would have to set down and talk....my back would be killing me to stand long enough to cook and I would have to set down to chit chat.....our health problems was inherited from my dad's side of the family.....

This looks delicious! We make ours like my great grandmother used to, boil potatoes, diced onion, salt & pepper. When potatoes are done add in butter, milk and thicken with cornstarch. Never thought of using cream of chicken, now I want to do that. :) Love watching you ladies and am so glad I discovered your social media videos!

So funny I also had an Uncle Noah and Uncle Hershel and Ma Peters name was Mary. My dads first name was actually Riffle! My dad hated that name. He use to say who would name a poor little baby such a name lol. He went by Benton.
