What's so genius about this frame concept they solved the sniper problem in warframe. Snipers in other game always felt rewarding because of long range killing power. The problem with snipers in warframe is single target and normally not many opportunities for long range. Somebody in DE had a good idea if Cyte-09 can ignore walls he can always play at range, if his headshots have aoe he can reasonably deal with large groups.
been running archon continuity with toxin for similar reasons, an extra toxin and corrrosive proc on my weapons is really nice, espeically with a high firerate so the corrosive stacks fast
Not only that but if an enemy is a long range away we can just blitz to them and hit them with a melee if we wanted to. Even with no movement abilities or operator mode you can easily cover 100m in like 4 seconds if you know what you're doing.

You *lose* firerate equipping Cannonade if you're on a Reinforced Bond companion. Neutralizer goes to 1.6 Fire Rate, Critical Delay brings it down to 1.4, Cannonade truncates it to 1.0 entirely. Definitely an option if you're *not* running Reinforced Bond though.
I believe the fact that people call Cyte 09 quincy just show cases how human names and faces are more marketable and may be another reason to have more protoframs in the future.

Another interaction with Neutraliser is how it functions with Archon Vitality, as any forced heat procs from Resupply will be doubled if applied through Neutraliser, also bolstered by Elementalist, allowing you to see ticks for almost 2 mill on someenemies
you don't need to walk on the ammo to get the element lol you get it when you press 2. Also less button to press and it auto reload for you so it means infinite ammos
lavos still wins out with his 200% and the right set up plus cyte -09 cannot trigger archon mods with his resupply unlike lavos. however cyte - 09 is still a great frame and alot of fun.
Worth noting with the evade duration increase per headshot kill. Dual tox incarnon automatically targets heads on the ricochet hits, making it mindless to keep the ability up forever especially when you subsume it on another frame
@1438wei So I don't have Cyte-09 yet and can't test it, but Quincy also has a max duration. It's not the maximum time he can be invisible, it's just the cap on how much you can have banked up.

Nah, his sniper gets tons of bonuses on headshots/weak points, eidolon limbs don't count and he doesn't have volt speed so naw he isn't the eidolon frame. And for PT it's still chroma, ya want more credits. Even for speed running he wouldn't be good cause again, volt speed.
I’ll say that the ammo packs also show up on the minimap like Amphors from Alchemy. So… they’re pretty tricky to find in that mode. But then again what isn’t with all the pickups on the ground.
Cyte's a lot like how Nidus used to be. A good Warframe who does good things but his gameplay loop is just a little too specific and slow and methodical to really be "OP". I wind up disagreeing with people saying he's broken and OP but unlike most other times I completely get where they're coming from, if he's allowed to hunker down in a corner and pop heads across the map for a morbillion damage through a wall then yeah he absolutely feels *and* looks like the most fucked up Warframe in the game.
Hilariously my favorite "huh" moment using Cyte was realizing he's a godsend on the Sea Lab defense tile. Especially with how often enemies take forever to get anywhere and/or get stuck on terrain on the other side of the map at the end of a round.
the difference is that he relies on weapons, rather than abilities for damage. he can use things that have insane headshot synergy, like the dual toxocyst incarnon to accelerate his gameplay and massacre enemies before the squad even sees them, saryn style

You get run down by Eximus and just have to suck it up since you have 0 defense (though Cyte's invis may be bugged to shit). You gotta find The Spot for Cyte to truly excel over other Warframes and thats just a bit too specific.
@ not every frame is going to be good at everything, and netracells are literally the worst content you could have chosen for him. the murmur have limited weak points, you have to wait for them to get into that tiny circle, and you’re stuck in close proximity to your squad. most of the op/meta frames hate this activity too, because of these stipulations
He feels so good and most importantly FUN. You get to snipe in an actual effective way, not worry about damage types on your weapons, and are rewarded for playing well
If you feel that you have an open slot on the sniper, I would suggest sharpshooter, it give 15 energy per headshot kill. If you use the setup properly, you should be getting 60 energy every time you shoot your gun.

I personally find the build for his Neutralizer to be a little tighter then his warframe build but I can totally see a version of the build where sharpshooter is all ur energy recovery and that's pretty cool.
I appreciate this! I am one of those people who likes to refresh abilities on a basis of convenience rather than the timers, and that sometimes makes me energy starved where others might not. This is a mod I would not have remembered even existed lmao

A small note about Primary Acuity on Neutralizer, I was hitting some extremely silly numbers with it as it seems like it's multiplicative. I went from hitting 5-7m without it by scaling multishot to hitting 70-80m a shot while using it.
haven't ever really been a fan of weapon platforms, but quincy is really well designed and honestly this is how all weapons platforms should play, he's extremely fun
I gotta say, I was wrong in my initial impressions. I really enjoy the frame. I did subsume the Sniper off initially and still really enjoyed a fast pace with the rest of his kit. Especially the ammo swap stuff. But using the Sniper has been really interesting as a sort of point and click slug shotgun. Thats actually been surprisingly effective and fun. Especially combined with the frost grenade. And I am happy to say I was off base totally with my concerns in group play. His first ability scanner gives me a whole different group of enemies to kill that others wont. I did not believe they were going to give that kind of range on it. I was also concerned with his invisbility extentions being precision kill based due to concerns about competing with other frames for those kills, but his scanner makes that a minimal issue. My concerns about his survivability were ill founded. And I am glad to be wrong.
Cyte 09 made snipers really fun, and the cooldown mechanic that only punishes you if not playing good is genious. Wished they did something like that with koumeis cooldown but oh well
I heavily advice running Archon Continuity on him. If you somehow want to deal corrosive status with the Neutralizer, just go for toxin. You'll get extra toxin procs and these can actually be quite damaging.
Cyte-09, aka Quincy, is a frame that's most obviously a high skill-floor power kit, given how much it relies on getting weak point kills to do stuff. Honestly, pretty fun for the folks that want to flex being skilled at the game.
I was a bit iffy with the idea of dumping so much in Range, but this showcase has proven just how much that added range is capable of. The sheer amount of wall hacks and punch through alone just convinced me to use my spare plat to get Quincy. Thanks, Brozime!
I do a lot of testing and build guided for my friends and discord server. My conclusion was that he's a fun, very engaging frame with solid damage but you need to like his gameplay to truly get the most out of him. I then gave him a ranking of B+ or A- depending on how much you like staring at walls.
The Archon mods are amazzing on him. Also, mod the Neutralizer for Electric and put 3-4 Violet shards on him that increase damage from Elec procs and your shots will regularly break into the tens of millions
I liked the detailed ability rundown before the build! You should just start doing that all the time. With the build refreshes for the older frames you could speed through it quicker. But even someone like myself who has thousands of hours, I still enjoy hearing about the abilities because I find I learn something new every time.
These ammo boxes also drop from 1999 it affects the weapon you have at the time and seems to actually not get taken if your weapon is incompatible like incarnon mode.
Did Banshee get better with this update? I'm not talking about a rework. Cyte-09's subsume is his invis, you have the crit arcane, and all the weakpoint mods
But you need to pick up the points, and cyte gets kills from the other side of the map. Unless you're letting AI teammates pick up and score which seems really unoptimized because they won't bank bonus
Its a decent lmg for anyone EXCEPT Cyte, due to his ammo ability being overriden by the LMG unique reload feature. On anyone else its great as a heat proc stacking weapon.
Might I suggest a 3rd alternative to spectral serration? The neutraliser is semi trigger so it seems Semi-rifle cannonade would work too? Unless there's a specific reason it wouldn't.
I am in love with this Frame. He is so fresh for me, and he is so much fun. Absolute blast to play, he feels great, his kit is incredibly cohesive, and you just feel awesome while playing
When they say +dmg or whatever against weak point, do they count Banshee's Sonar/Helios' precept as well as heads/robotic cores etc. as the same kinda thing as Cyte's? Also, nice that he affects Acid Shells!
No. It doesn’t work on a lot of stuff. Things need to have a magazine to be reloaded. Incarnons, things like the nataruk, recharging weapons like kit guns that recharge, I think recharging beams like the cycron. None of that works. It needs to be a gun you reload.
The parkour shards are not optional. Parkour is actually the only shards you need. Parkour is everything. If I plan on playing a frame past leveling it, it gets a parkour shard 😂
Throw jades subsume on his 4th with the same set up and its pretty good for a weapons platform, ez headshots and the armor strip and heat procs are just a bonus
I had really good luck on the Systems and Neuroptics and then took 2 days worth of standing to farm the Chassis (LR3) so here's hoping you just have the 1 roadblock!
With a game in which Saryn, Sevagoth, Kullervo and Voruna exist, Cyte-09 is not "the most broken". Getting soooo tired of people using the word "broken" in video titles. The word means nothing these days. Just used as click bait.
I love Cyte 09's kit, and he's very cohesive and is so much fun. My only criticism that there are certain game modes whrre his gameplay style is kinda suboptimal
Every gun is a Zenith! Or the Farsight from Perfect Dark. Does he do a lot of damage shooting into a mag bubble? Also are we getting Nyx and Trinity builds?
The limit of how much damage the big thick scaldra take is either not working on xbox, or doesnt apply if you hit their backpack, because ive been 2 and 3 tapping them in seconds
if you want to brain off mode with him pick arca plasmor or any good gun that's not an incarnon (so it can get auto-reloaded) that can hit weakpoints and cast your 2 when needed, it works pretty well, better than his sniper in most cases which is kind of a bummer that you can just be more efficient if you don't use his exalted weapon
I find all the extra range on cyte to be overkill. Like you said yourself enemies don't even spawn that far out. Instead I find it more comfortable to run higher duration and power, to make it easier to keep Evade up at all times, particularly as your running arcane crespular, and spectral serration. While this isn't super hard alone, when a efficient group is annihilating enemies as they spawn in AoE in many situations, keeping it up can become much more difficult, You can also slot in some extra power, check out my dead eye reverb build on overframe to see the full setup. Evade has a cool down, so having it drop off can cause some damage falloff. I find range at 169% to be the sweet spot, giving you a round 100 meters of scan distance and 17 meters of punch through to be plenty to get people through walls, and almost never encounter something I can see but can't shoot. You don't want to skimp on power because it scales your damage in several ways. Higher weakpoint damage, higher sniper damage, higher neut combo damage multiplier. Final stats on build before conditionals is 254% duration 45% efficiency 169% range 208% strength
The supply cache might just be on a timer. I've had it activate several hundred meters away when I was killing enemies with just regular weapons, without Cyte-09's wallhack.
I think the Dedicants are the single worst enemy introduced to the game in years, I absolutely despise them. I'm begrudgingly tolerant of DA on Archons and other boss enemies, but putting DA on a rank and file enemy is just totally ass. Even using Madurai on the best weapons on the game with the best damage buffs in the game with the Dedicant fully armour stripped and hitting its weak spot for full red crits, it takes longer to kill one of those than an Archon (total time to kill while it's vulnerable, not the whole mission obviously), and there's at least five each mission. I really really REALLY hope DE dial back the DA on it, because they're not remotely engaging to fight nor do they drop anything that makes them worth wasting time on (afaik). A serious design blunder on DE's part for an otherwise 10/10 faction that feel great to engage with.
The issue isn't that it disrupts the gameplay loop, the issue is that it disrupts the gameplay loop by... making you stop what you're doing and hold left click for a while. That's it. That's the full extent of that engagement. God help if you're on Steel Path with something other than Miter or Torid.
Switched out Energy Nexus with Primed Redirection & Arcane Crepuscular with Energize to make him a bit more tanky. Replaced his 3 with Condemn, cus I am bad at aiming and when enemies dont move its way easier to headshot.
The argument is that you should stack combat discipline and arcane avenger to trigger it, but I still don't think the numbers compare to using the new weak point aura, umbral intensify, and a different arcane like augmented

Forever would be wrong for the subsumed version, which have a cap of 25 seconds iirc from the patch note.

He isn't very energy hungry personally I like one purple shard for electric and Archon stretch. Gives plenty energy

Btw I hope u know u can disable the sniper reticle in the option since it might be narrowing vision a bit too much with the screen clutter
Cyte-09's 2 w/ Ocucor + it's augment absolutely melts; you never run out of buffed ammo. Scaldra Decidants get melted on SP.

I run 2 violet shards for elec and choose toxin resupply to trigger archon stretch and continuity. Really good frame overall.

u can farm him super easily. get BP from the hex and then at rank 2 or 3 u can buy all the part blueprints

I've never seen them drop outside of Quincy bounties, where you basically have a specter on your team dropping them.

Banshee is a sleeper A tier, silence+gloom basically just turns enemies off. Sonar makes fake weakpoints though, so no synergy there.

Its a decent lmg for anyone EXCEPT Cyte, due to his ammo ability being overriden by the LMG unique reload feature. On anyone else its great as a heat proc stacking weapon.

Might I suggest a 3rd alternative to spectral serration? The neutraliser is semi trigger so it seems Semi-rifle cannonade would work too? Unless there's a specific reason it wouldn't.
Absolutely an option and will be better than serration I just went for the easy swap for people who don’t have a lot of the newer mods

When they say +dmg or whatever against weak point, do they count Banshee's Sonar/Helios' precept as well as heads/robotic cores etc. as the same kinda thing as Cyte's? Also, nice that he affects Acid Shells!

Dante was nuking everything by looking their general direction, Quincy takes out 4 with a precise snipe. They're not even comparable.
Cyte-09’s Evade/3rd ability also restores your HP when you get a kill, it’s way better than you think as a survivability tool.

Does the garunteed element affect the incarnon form of weapons?
No. It doesn’t work on a lot of stuff. Things need to have a magazine to be reloaded. Incarnons, things like the nataruk, recharging weapons like kit guns that recharge, I think recharging beams like the cycron. None of that works. It needs to be a gun you reload.
The parkour shards are not optional. Parkour is actually the only shards you need. Parkour is everything. If I plan on playing a frame past leveling it, it gets a parkour shard 😂

Throw jades subsume on his 4th with the same set up and its pretty good for a weapons platform, ez headshots and the armor strip and heat procs are just a bonus

I had really good luck on the Systems and Neuroptics and then took 2 days worth of standing to farm the Chassis (LR3) so here's hoping you just have the 1 roadblock!
With a game in which Saryn, Sevagoth, Kullervo and Voruna exist, Cyte-09 is not "the most broken". Getting soooo tired of people using the word "broken" in video titles. The word means nothing these days. Just used as click bait.
I love Cyte 09's kit, and he's very cohesive and is so much fun. My only criticism that there are certain game modes whrre his gameplay style is kinda suboptimal
Every gun is a Zenith! Or the Farsight from Perfect Dark. Does he do a lot of damage shooting into a mag bubble? Also are we getting Nyx and Trinity builds?
The limit of how much damage the big thick scaldra take is either not working on xbox, or doesnt apply if you hit their backpack, because ive been 2 and 3 tapping them in seconds
if you want to brain off mode with him pick arca plasmor or any good gun that's not an incarnon (so it can get auto-reloaded) that can hit weakpoints and cast your 2 when needed, it works pretty well, better than his sniper in most cases which is kind of a bummer that you can just be more efficient if you don't use his exalted weapon
I've been running him with Phage and it's pretty ridiculous.

You "evade" then invis I find it quite nice to do 3 then 1 or 1 then 3 :)
I find all the extra range on cyte to be overkill. Like you said yourself enemies don't even spawn that far out. Instead I find it more comfortable to run higher duration and power, to make it easier to keep Evade up at all times, particularly as your running arcane crespular, and spectral serration. While this isn't super hard alone, when a efficient group is annihilating enemies as they spawn in AoE in many situations, keeping it up can become much more difficult, You can also slot in some extra power, check out my dead eye reverb build on overframe to see the full setup. Evade has a cool down, so having it drop off can cause some damage falloff. I find range at 169% to be the sweet spot, giving you a round 100 meters of scan distance and 17 meters of punch through to be plenty to get people through walls, and almost never encounter something I can see but can't shoot. You don't want to skimp on power because it scales your damage in several ways. Higher weakpoint damage, higher sniper damage, higher neut combo damage multiplier. Final stats on build before conditionals is 254% duration 45% efficiency 169% range 208% strength
He's cool for fast netracells for obvious reasons.

I just used Quincy in some Netracells and he does really well there.
The supply cache might just be on a timer. I've had it activate several hundred meters away when I was killing enemies with just regular weapons, without Cyte-09's wallhack.
That makes so much sense now that the big as fuck Scaldra units are damage-capped

Ill be honest i really hate when people say something is overpowered and should be nerfed, because 99.9% its not even close to the strongest thing.
I think the Dedicants are the single worst enemy introduced to the game in years, I absolutely despise them. I'm begrudgingly tolerant of DA on Archons and other boss enemies, but putting DA on a rank and file enemy is just totally ass. Even using Madurai on the best weapons on the game with the best damage buffs in the game with the Dedicant fully armour stripped and hitting its weak spot for full red crits, it takes longer to kill one of those than an Archon (total time to kill while it's vulnerable, not the whole mission obviously), and there's at least five each mission. I really really REALLY hope DE dial back the DA on it, because they're not remotely engaging to fight nor do they drop anything that makes them worth wasting time on (afaik). A serious design blunder on DE's part for an otherwise 10/10 faction that feel great to engage with.
I like it they force a response that might make it so you get overwhelmed :) but it need to take more damage from status
The issue isn't that it disrupts the gameplay loop, the issue is that it disrupts the gameplay loop by... making you stop what you're doing and hold left click for a while. That's it. That's the full extent of that engagement. God help if you're on Steel Path with something other than Miter or Torid.

Switched out Energy Nexus with Primed Redirection & Arcane Crepuscular with Energize to make him a bit more tanky.
Replaced his 3 with Condemn, cus I am bad at aiming and when enemies dont move its way easier to headshot.
I may have underestimated his resupply and subsumed over it with Protea's.
I think that can removed for free, if you want.
I saw a build recommend archon intensify since the 3 heals on weak point kills, anyone know if that is better?
Awful because you need to be damaged to trigger it and you shouldn’t normally be taking health damage since you’re invisible
The argument is that you should stack combat discipline and arcane avenger to trigger it, but I still don't think the numbers compare to using the new weak point aura, umbral intensify, and a different arcane like augmented

I've noticed a bug where after a while of remaining invisible enemies will simply start ignoring your invisibility and start shooting at you.
Last point of sound it's stupid but that's the main way they can shot you
