I love how this game has little to no flaws, that they have to resort to some interesting facts about random stuff to fill in the commentary.
It's a great game tbf. And a genuine staple of childhoods for anyone born in the 90s
You know not even gonna lie this game does have some flaws like one time on the elevator stage I was already really high up by the mouse you gotta help and when I tried to climb higher it glitched and made me fall all the way back down BUT the game is so good that yeah I don’t really care it’s a very rare thing and the game altogether is a great product
for sure. given the fact this game was made in the ps1 era... and the fact that most movie tie in games have never really been made with any passion and they are primarily pushed out on name value alone, this is a good puzzle platformer with some good action. I was very happy when they bought it out as in the classic catalogue on the ps4/ps5. bought back many memories as a kid and even to this day, despite the camera not being great and of course it being about 20 years old- it still holds up well for what it is.
I mean this version isn’t bad, the N64 version is a bit worse control wise
The game is carried by it's genuinely solid leveldesign.
11:30 Tom actually asked Disney to hire his brother since he was having a hard time getting acting jobs and Tom would have been too busy. Since then, voicing Woody has been his full time job due to the amount of products made
"I'm breezing through this level" *falls off the bookcase multiple times*
Even when I’m not watching Caddy’s videos I still can’t escape Spons.
I kid you not, you talking about not having a memory card and replaying the first level over and over was my childhood. I had this game on N64, and I had Super Mario 64. I had no concept of memory cards and could never save my game on Toy Story 2. I made it to the beginning of the second level with the lawn mower going around and that was as far as I ever got, lol. But I replayed that beginning level so many times. I was pretty young and I remember thinking the game was crazy hard.
same!!!!
10:53
Christ on a bike, I never expected a Caddicarus reference. That’s bloody brilliant, well done.
the level design in this game is genuinely amazing
Creativity of the developers is on point. The only problem it has was bad boss fights.
10:41 dude I laughed so loud. Falling from THIS tree was a pain only Toy Story 2 players could understand.
and buzzez repeat "NOOOOOOOO" "NOOOOOOOOO" "NOOOOOOOO" "NOOO" as your falling was just insult to injury lol
11:18 Yeah. That actually is true. He was asked if the merchandising was voice by him and he said "No. Its my brother, Jim."
I loved this game as a kid. So many good memories playing this in my grandma's basement ❤
Same here, but in my grandmother’s second living room!
Pretty sure this was the first game I ever played when I was little, I used to play this all the time at my grandma's house ❤so much nostalgia RIP grandma
I didn't expect a Caddicarus reference in this video
This brings me back in such a nice way. I love your channel for that reason. Most of my childhood was really dark and just not good. But these video games helps me revisit some of the good memories I had when I was young which are usually overlooked by the trauma.
Hope ur doing better now 👍
Man, I love this game so much. Perhaps, it's the game that I have re-played the most. I've played this on the PC recently and this has been for the third time. I've also played the PS1 version like 4 times. Toy Story 2, is also one of the movies that I have re-watched the most. I may be crazy but I can't and never get bored of playing this masterpiece and watching the movie itself. Instead of being a game with linear level design, you're almost free to explore. This game made me choose Buzz Lightyear as my favorite Toy Story character.
The original Ape Escape for PS1 (the funny british acting in the PAL version specifically) brings back fond childhood memories, its a great game thats not too long if you guys are looking for more ps1 gems :)
yes one of my favourite games :D
I still can't believe this was released as one of the PlayStation classics on PS5. Not that I'm complaining. It should be hailed as a classic!
Say what now? I'm tempted to get a PS5 for this alone.
@@alexg1778 It's not that different from emulating the game. It doesn't even have any trophies (only most of the first-party PS1 and PSP games since, unlike the PS2-on-PS4 games, Sony removed the requirement to have trophies to every game added). Also, PlayStation Classic games are also playable on PS4.
@@alexg1778 you can emulate it
@@alexg1778I have it on my ps5, come join us brother.
Yep it's now on PS5, and it has been updated with trophies! 🏆
About time you guys played this game. Also, we’d love more PS1 games. I remember you guys played the PS2 version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone from 2003, and not the original PS1 or PC versions.
I played Harry Potter chamber of secrets on PS2 back in the day and it was a blast! I miss the good old days lol
I think the Olsen Twins had a whole series of crappy ps1 games which would be hilarious
I loved Donald Ducks Quack Attack.
@@spelareNR14 You must be from Europe.
@@striderjason9863 yeah, Sweden. I played Quack Attack and Mickey Mouse Adventure (both PS1 games) on my old ps2 as a kid
In a way, Nintendo's Chibi Robo for the GameCube, an underated gem imo. Was a game were you are pretty much the size of a toy exploring a large house. At nights the toys of the house come alive too.
Isn't Chibi robo technically a toy himself? He was a present for Jenny after all.
@@Dogmaguy74 Debatable. Yes and no? The Dad is portrayed as a man child who previously worked in the field of robotics and had an interest working at Citrusoft (Chibi Robo Manufacturers). I was thinking Chibi is more like a Roomba; A Robot assistant. Made to do chores through the house. --Which can be the exception as to why he can walk around during the day and communicate with toys at night. I personally wouldn't consider that a toy but an appliance. However an manufactured object is a manufactured object. Previously the family had giga robo, an older Citrusoft product, before getting chibi and before Jenny being born. The Dad is shown to have bad spending habits and I'm thinking because of the expenses and his wifes anger, he initially purchased it for himself then made the excuse and said it's for their 8-year olds birthday.
It's a damn shame it went downhill
10:52 OMG CADDY

I laughed so hard because I did not expect that Caddicarus reference with Spons 😂😂
I just watched Toy Story 2 today out of nostalgia, is the internet watching me? Lol. Very glad you guys decided to play this game!
Well I know someone is.
Same here haven’t touched the game since ‘03 and just re-beat it the other day. good video
@SquidwardLeninIt's called a divine sign.
@SquidwardLenin It means that a Higher Power presides over us and watches our every movement and sets up little cues like this to let us know that it watches over us, as if we were characters being played in a video game. Stuff like that it not just mere coincidence, but actually a hidden message that it knows and observes.
I loved the way you explore by extensive climbing heights in strange interiors, all within colorful levels, and unique music. Very memorable.
2:11 Sony with Spider-Man 😂😂
"i think i just beat the boss by the way."
"oh okay, that'll do it" 😂😂😂 12:39
I love the reference to Caddy 😂 i mean you guys are technically the same Niche
10:55 thank you for the Caddicarus reference 🙏
mega hype you guys are playing this. many fond memories playing this, as infuriating as it could be lol
2:55 - 3:02 Imagine Steve-O dubbing over Wallace Shawn characters or replacing him after he retires or passes away
7:28 There is also the first Chibi-Robo game.
A caddicarus reference is not what I was expecting, but thoroughly enjoyed
I loved this game when I was young. One of my first games I ever played so this is pure nostalgia
10:46 bro when you fell I got that feeling when you miss a stair on the way down and feel like you’re gonna fall all the way
Gad I wish you guys would do a series sometimes it ends right when it’s getting good 😂
Same, sometimes I wish they'd do a second video where they revisit an old game from the channel. Just great overall content👍
That comment about It takes two and friends, I felt attacked 😂
Memories 🎵 I still remember the soundtrack of the first level.
10:53 Didn't expect Mind Pulp to be fans of Caddy
You should definitely play the Army Men Series... was an iconic series for me as a kid. I say play Sarges Heroes... great game haha if you like nostalgia.
That and sarges war
I remember getting this from my grandmother for Christmas & became obsessed over it. The Disney opening at the beginning was terrifying though!
This is the first game I played on PC over 20 years ago. This brings many memories.
"horrifying but a great touch" - my mum when I was born 😂
There was a game on the Dreamcast called Toy Commander where you drove a selection of toys around a house completing missions. It was fantastic, and had a great sense of scale.
Non school uniform days were literally fashion shows 😂
This game was my childhood.
Thank you guys for still doing the "Purple Rain" bit and please never stop. I sing that shit in my head as soon as I see something purple.
I actually remember playing this game when I had the PS2, was never to complete it though, and I couldn't continue because I had a full memory card 😂
I completed it recently on PS3
@@demosneokleous4877on PS3 what else are they gonna put on there
"I'm going to blame Barbie and its wokisms for why I can't sh*t!" Had me rolling.
Love the Caddicarus reference
😂 ok doing the Raja "Ohhhhh My Goddddd!!" Genius 🤣
Awesome. Also, It's convient since I just started a Toy Story 2 let's play but I used the Dreamcast version.
"when somebody loves you" 😂😂😂
The next ones I want them to do is the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy or one of the Spyro games.
This is the most calmed Mind pulp video that I've watched.
Thanks for your videos guys, I'm not in a good moment right now but your channel keeps me here.
We have tea parties! BRITISH PPL HAVE TEA PARTIES!!
Cringe
"Goodnight jackass"😂😂😂
I remember playing this when I was a kid, this was such a good game
Nice Sponce cameo! 😂❤
I wanna see them try out Digimon World 3, a personal favorite, but I do want to hear them tear into it given some of its obvious issues.
Easily one of my absolute favorite channels on RUclips! been watching you guys alot lately. Thanks for all the good vibes and making me laugh!
I used to play this game with my nephew when we were young, but this game was like a from software game nowadays for us back then. So when we couldn’t get past the boss in every other level my mom would always finish the level for us… good times😊
so lucky you had a goated gamer momma😫
Stopping right before the Alleys and Gullies level with the most banging music in the game is criminal but thank you for the nostalgia blast anyway!
Digimon World 1 for the PS1 would be a great shout for another PS1 video imo
I remember getting this game of the psn store in 2012 it was my first ps1 game ever good memories
Never stop doing the Purple Rain bit. Its the funniest part of this channel.
Do Buzz Lightyear of Star command next 😂
!!!!
!!!!!!!!!
WORDDDDDDDD
See😂
This brings back the WEIRDEST memories. The color mixing part is so iconic, lol.
I have this game on my ps5 and I liked it a lot
No way you actually played this! Thank u!!
A Spon reference
Damn why Buzz gotta look at me like that?! Such a menace :o
You know its gonna be good if its from the PS1
Its crazy how i forgot about this game, but the more I watch you guys play the more i remember. those were the days.
*B U Z Z Y B O I*
*B U Z Z Y B O Y*
This game has such a good soundtrack and I'm glad it's part of my childhood
Finally. A game I actually played as a kid. We had a disk for pc lol. It might look like shit, but it was a pretty good game all in all
one of my favorite memories on the N64.
truly felt the power of the Rumble Pak
This game was genuinely awesome
8:10 "All right, nobody look till I get my cork back in" is a quote from Hamm in the movie.
So yes, you were right.
Buzz lightyear looks like a brick in this one
Ayyye, his head really be lookin like one thin brick. Lmao
@@V3r0nicle It was steam pressed
Mighty Beans just unlocked a childhood memory I had previously forgotten
🪁 SPONS
I’m just glad I didn’t hallucinate the fact that the psp had movies on it, personally I had the first cloudy with a chance of meatballs movie 😂
Sly Cooper is one of the best game franchises ever, played all 3 and they were golden, Sly 2 though is one of the most difficult PS2 games I’ve played
That was so funny,I love the purple moments💜
Ah, so many fond memories of this game. Never beat it, but it's still got a special spot in my heart.
I heard in the new Toy Story movie, the toys pay a visit to Sid, just as he's about to be released from the mental health facility, having spent 30 years there. Finally cleared, having accepted that the toys aren't alive, he loses his mind once again as soon as he sees the living toys.
You brought back memories with the Army Man games. I used to watch my brother play those all the time, and I thought it was toy story
I love this game, it's one of my all time favourites. I can remember getting it for my birthday when I was a kid, and I still play it regularly. This, Gran Turusmo 2 and GTA Vice City I can never get bored of!
You guys should play the Duck Dynasty game for 360! COME ON JACK! 😂😂
Such a classic! Played as a kid and still got it in the collection!
man that race in the garage lives in my mind. i still remember that on N64 all these years later
Thanks for choosing this game! It really took me back
* Batman and Robin *
😂
I sank countless hours into this game as a kid and never got further than the garden level. First time I've ever seen beyond it.
lol very hyped yall played this, beat this game so many times as a kid and had to purchase recently for the good memories and played it all through again. Definitely a important in history
yes another good video i love all your videos😂❤
I think the cosplay dress up you mean is maybe World Book Day, only other non uniform days I remember was muffty or pyjama day and you paid £1 and it went to charity 😂 CROC Legend of the Gobbos or CROC 2 and Rugrats in Paris for PS1 recommendation 👍
Spyro and Crash both had remasters that were masterpieces. Now I want this last beauty from my childhood.
"is that his knob?" fkn killed me lmaooooo
14:50 ermmm actually concrete can take 24-48 hours to set depending on the weather 🤓
Man, i love this game soooo much, i dont play it much, but i do have it on the ps5 so i can replay it whenever. i remember i was soooo scared of the robot boss in Andys house.
i also never finished it, and im honestly not in the mood to do so considering how long it is and how weird the controls are, maybe if i could use Keyboard and mouse.
they should do a remaster, keep everything working the exact same, but increase resolution so it looks atleast as good as the original movie.
re: Tom Hanks brother
At the time of the first movie, his brother was out of work and looking for a job.
So as part of his contract with Pixar, his brother would take on any non-film roles (including promotional material, TV shows, games, toys, etc) in his place.
And during negotiations for the second film, the condition was kept in and has been honoured in every Woody appearance since.
Some have said it's nepotistic. But I mean who better to imitate Tom Hanks...than Tom Hanks' brother?
Plus at the time it was helping out someone who just lost a job, so it was mostly a good thing.
